I was looking back this afternoon and thinking about the tropes I've gone through with Naleena. There are quite a number of them. I shamelessly admit to this. Are you ready?

 

Tropes: Awesome Name (characters have commented on it); Badass; Badass in a long coat; Back-to-Back Badasses (fighting alongside Aria); The Alcoholic; Byronic Hero; Chronic Hero Syndrome; Cool Guns (SIG Sauer P226; Kassa Locust); Dark and Troubled Past; Death Glare (Vayne said she was terrifying when she was dealing with Shepard); Deadpan Snarker; Despair Event Horizon; Determinator; Forgets to Eat; Justice Will Prevail; Limited Wardrobe; Pragmatic Hero; A deconstruction of the Nineties Anti-Hero; Smoking is Cool; The Stoic; Sophisticated as Hell; Tranquil Fury; Rule of Symbolism (she wears minimal armor and a leather coat yet is protected by the aura of the gods - this is straight out of Norse Mythology); Token Evil Teammate (willing to torture and murder if it will get the job done or to protect or avenge someone she cares about); Weapon of Choice (SIG P226 9mm; Black Widow; Dual Carnifexes; Kassa Locust - the type of gun that killed two presidents).

@ The Red Shadow and peeps.  Today is a hard day for me to post, though I never know and sometimes I get the chance in fits and starts to post something.  But I'm not leaving anyone hanging.  Worst is I'll post full speed tomorrow.  My goal is to get a little interaction with Babe and Yori in (pasta party), and keep on top of the other shenanigans on both the Medusa, and the trip to Kolme's....oh and of course Stormhammer.  That means I'll be sharing whatever posting time I have between all of that.  I'll do what I can but if you don't see me post today it isn't because I've forgotten about anything, and you know me...I will definitely get some posts up within 24 hrs, basically, on everything at least once.

Sorry for being inactive on Chasing Spectres but I can't find the time and Stormhammers is a bit more interesting for me at the moment. Besides, after the last walls of text that I used to add something to Arian's background I just needed a break. It took me countless hours to write them and some more to find spelling and especially translation issues.

 

So while the rest of the crew is on shoreleave he stays on the Janiri, doing workouts and using the combat simulator while still trying to avoid anyone on the ship. I will probably write a post on that during the next days when I have time. But it's still great to read through the stuff you are writing  (...spontaneously "reactivating" Geth-parts trying to strangle people...)

I'm working on a couple long posts involving Jenus, and the new arrival Ereba. Ereba will be taking Mira's place while Mira is recovering from her wound for the next couple months. Ereba is a character. You'll like her. She's a knight in sour armor. Perfect for our team, dishing up everything with a large dose of cynicism.

 

Then I have a medium post for Naleena that leads to some interaction with Xanthe Remi.

 

And of course Darya. So lots of writing.

 

I'm leaving Dahlia parked on the Medusa on its bridge. It seems to be a safe place for the time being, and I don't have a story line developed for her at the moment.

I had left it with Jenus technically in command though.  Did you have something different in mind, or do you mean that Ereba is becoming the 4th Commando team mate.

Jenus will remain in command. I figure Mira is a Lt. Jenus is a Sgt of some sort. Ereba is a Specialist - that's like a corporal. She'll do what she's told, but she has an attitude if someone comes on too strong at her. You know how Krogan are.... er Asari. And she'll try to fire up the troops when the chips are down. Headbutting before battle. She's half-Krogan. Actually she and Jenus might get along quite well.

Its the security settings.  My job uses Internet Explorer (BOO HISS) and basically the hamsters on the treadmill of our tech department reset the browser settings to medium/high security and locked it.  Basically there's a lot of grrr going on back in the home office and some very unhappy people are fixing the company wide problem that got started because someone didn't know what they were doing...

@The Red Shadow.  I'll get back to you in a bit!  Got Stormhammer stuff to put up.
