Those on the ships would have gotten the alerts. Whether or not they can get out in time is another thing. There is a matter of knowing what the hell is going on. It is chaos out there for a little bit and then it'll be clear except for those in combat.

Edit: I feel like that might have sounded a little... I don't know, rapey.  Ew. Gross. No.  I was talking more along the lines of 'we're married, you're not allowed to be mad at me over everything.' which I use all the time, and makes no sense whatsoever, because she totally can be mad about me coming home late as sh*t and completely trashed lol. Alright, that's it. As of now I've decided to stop drinking. After I finish the rest of that bourbon over there on the counter.

 

Okay, maybe I won't stop stop but I'll shoot for a path that's a little less destructive.

OFFICIALLY TODAY, I have a ton of posts to put up, and am going to get to them, between this and Stormhammer.  That's the way it goes sometimes when the action drops.  So not to usurp the story...but simply to, um, be a temporary litany of rpg-ing, I'm getting to stuff.  Surrounding the incident with Jrudek, the stuff will drop in approx. the next hour.  For our fearless characters, here's what's coming:

Essul and Arian:  Not directly involved as of the actual fight, by the time it is over, but important story parts are about to drop that will relate for you guys, and for Essul, it is important that he get to the scene after the fact.

Jess, Naleena:  In the thick of it.

Anika, Irina, Vayne, Johnny:  Out of it for this one but post incident they may have stuff they want to do.

Okay, here I go.  Arian's bit first, then Essul's, then well, then cue the rising dramatic action soundtrack...

I believe there will be many unanticipated Citadel events to keep us all occupied.  Here's a short list:

1) 'Downloading' Naleena's head trip to the immediate group in privacy
2) Officer Lang (but not Lang) who is corrupt and doing whatever is to be done with him
3) The mystery of Rasgul
4) A PR rep who wants to find a hero of the Alliance, and...well, keep your popcorn handy
5) Essul and the link to his drugs
6) What happens on the Janiri now that Iole took off with Fran
7) Dahlia, Miss Priss, and Babe on the Medusa with no guidance, not to mention...
8) Anika left Keith alone with a gun

Oh, and elsewhere in the universe:

Iole and Frank share their love of arms in the hold of a smuggling vessel, and...

Tyranny now has an arena.  Oh, that's fun!
