Okay, since the time is so compressed and no one is really going anywhere fast in game, I'd just say you do not have to do the heavy lifting on pushing the story ahead, Julia.  The ships can get to just before their destination (I totally forgot the name, you know, Batarian world thing).

There's plenty of events that can happen behind the scenes, or in front, as the detail increases with the shorter time span.  Certain events will not be able to move forward; I'm not going to leap ahead with either Iyana or other planned events as it gets screwed up in reference to the story.  Its fine, plenty to do in the meanwhile.  

I also want to keep writing because as hot as summer is, it also is the most free time I have to write.  So I don't want to lose my time to get stuff done.

The techniques used by MCMAP vary in degrees of lethality, allowing the user to select the most appropriate (usually the least) amount of force. For example, a Marine facing a nonviolent but noncompliant subject can use an unarmed restraint to force compliance with minimal damage and pain. A more aggressive subject could be met with a choke, hold, or a strike. Lethal force can be used on a subject as a last resort. The majority of techniques can be defensive or offensive in use, with or without a weapon; allowing Marines flexibility in combat and operations other than war (such as civil control or humanitarian missions, as well as self-defense). An instructor can augment the circumstances of training to better fit the unit's mission, such as military police practicing after being exposed to pepper spray.

It's overcast right now and that kept the heat from hitting the mid 90s today. It's actually a relatively comfortable 82 in my writing studio right now compared to 90 yesterday. Although outside it is 86.

That's because there's a big fire east of here and I just found out that it isn't clouds. It's smoke in the sky. Also I hate it when my f***ing internet company throttles the f***ing news channel's video feed making it so bad so you have to subscribe to their satellite dish service. That is not a free and open internet. That is screwing with people's internet connections. And the TV stations have their apps set up so that you can't even stream them on your phone.

 

My ISP's home page puts up news from last week. They suck. If it wasn't such a pain in the ass to change - you have to change e-mail addresses and passwords on all of your accounts - I'd switch in a heartbeat.

The past few weeks, I've been like nah. Writing and sh*t. No need. I want to, but I don't, you know? But I do. I like, really do. Sh*t. I need to get back into the RP like before. Sh*t was my life. Real talk.

 

I'm feelin' alright at the moment, so I'm gonna Hemmingway this sh*t. Even if he didn't really drink all that much when writing. Or did he? I don't know. Probably not, because he couldn't be like 'backspace' when he fucked something up. If he could, I bet he would totally write while trashed. Can you imagine all that paper and sh*t? I couldn't, nor do I want to.

Because of cut/paste foibles on the BioWare site, I can't put this Morgan piece up.  It's basically fine, happens after the pickup of booze on Thessia (pick up anything of art? no. music? no. Scient? no. Any culture at all?  Booze...)  .  I'm sure either SGJ will post it or I can post it when I get home.

There's stuff waiting in the timeline to do, some stuff waiting for other things to happen.  I was going to do some filler pieces in the meantime.

And Captain Fox and Scarlett need to play their part in the K&Q's evolution and I just don't have time right now ARRRRRGGHHHHHHHH!!!!

Ooops! Dahlia did a bad. But hey, what's wrong with having a little extra booze around. We don't have to sell it all in Batarian space, you know. I'm sure we could make a killing in the colonies. Perhaps a trip to Noveria?  or Terra Nova?

Thing about the batarian officials is, they aren't looking for "good functioning" omni-tools. These are status symbols to them. They want a brand the others of batarian space can't get. They don't want a Big Cola 3, a clone of an Iphone that works just as well as the original, they want a flashy 5 million dollar Iphone, even if spending that much money for an Iphone 6 is boarderline mentally-deranged.

 

They also want devices that have unrestricted access to the extranet, because screw the rules, they have money. They are the ones running this colony world. And they want to show that they are better then the laws, better then their fellow batarian world planets, and better then you. And if they have to spend thousands more credits to get it under the table, then so be it. These are the types of jerks who go to other worlds/countries and drop hundreds of thousands of credits to eat endangered animals cause they can.

 

Also I'm back from celebrating my birthday a day early.

I was gonna wrap up this Bekenstein business tonight, but I'm juuuuust past that point, you know?  There's like this short window of inebriation where I'm productive as sh*t, and I can just like, sit there and write stuff. Maybe I will. Probably not, because I'm likely going to drink more. There's an old Ford in my beautiful garage that requires my attention as well.  I'm going to go out there and wax it, or something. I dunno.
