I'm still feeling a bit meh, but I think it's good enough to write again so expect something in both stories from me for later this evening.

Since the reorganization, I notice our friendly little banter on this thread got a nerf hammer taken to it :)  It might not matter but I can't help think that it does a little because it helped keep our writing group close together.

Lately I've been boozin' hard and playing GTA, so I haven't been around as much.  Also, that new off topic site has been pretty entertaining.

I agree, I miss the old banter we used to have going, but now it seems to have gone.

Sweet Baby Jesus

Is the name of a delicious chocolate and peanut butter flavored beer!

I figured to inform you Narf though I have not been into boozin much as of late. Don't worry, I have other vices to take its place

I bought myself a 40 and something called Wild Irish Rose the other night. I'm on a budget lol. Well, that last stuff was for my woman, but she didn't like it.  Since I'm not one to waste alcohol... I don't know what the hell they put in that stuff, but I'm pretty sure I had a near death experience.

Hey, here's a question. I'm a car weenie, so I've always wondered. What do you guys drive?

Don't have my own car simply because I don't need one but I used to drive my parent's renault clio when I needed to. Certainly not the best car in the world but still okay.

About posting; well, the merge of the sub-topics stlil pisses me off but I the actual reason I didn't post a lot in CS lately is because of...you know, Arian-stuff. I will certainly write when there is an interesting story to tell but right now he's doing his usual...things. Like raising some cute puppies in his cabin.

I still drive a 2005 Mazda 3, narf. 5 spd. But I put deez on it and tinted the windows.

But to kind of liven things up a bit in here, let's have some music. I'm kind of a guitar nut, and think this would  be the coolest thing riding through downtown LA on the back of a semi just rocking out.

I love cars but when it comes to enthusiasm for ownership, all the magic of my youth is gone.  The bottom line is mostly nobody cares around me about what you really drive, except for people shallow enough to want to simply show they are better than you.  It's a cultural thing I'm pretty sure, but I know zero car lovers who just have a car for enjoying it.  Wait, I know one, but he can afford to.  He got his hands on a black Mercedes 2015 AMG GT.  He's 50, in good shape, and now he gets 23 year old bank tellers to send him photos of themselves.  No I am not kidding.  Call me shallow but that isn't about attraction or something awesome and sexy; that's all about power and them seeing him and wanting to latch onto it.  I don't mind anyone sending pictures of anyone but did those tellers send their pictures off to...nah, not even worth getting into.

Me, I probably would show off a car if I had the chance.  I drive a 2010 Scion tC, dark gray/platinum and I keep it nice and clean.  But it really is an electric razor.  It does have pickup, which comes in handy but I'm not running around saying I love my car or showing off pictures of it.  And maybe I am smart for having more important things on my mind when it comes to spending my money.  I get aggravated that the car world here is now all buy new.  You get clusters of car enthusiasts and they're 1 1/2 hours away by a track...which in East Coast traffic is more like 3 hours away.  Narf, we talked about this.  You don't just bop on down to the track anywhere around here.  It is a freaking ordeal.  You have to get on the road super early, drive a long time, watch the races, and slog it all back home.  By the time that much effort has been done, there are 30 other things that can be done in the NYC area in the same length of time so tbh nobody bothers.  People here are all about instant gratification, moreso than a lot of places I've seen, which I also don't have a problem with.  But it is bad news for, you know, loving a car, working on it, showing it all around, etc. etc.  People here just go buy a car, plop it down, then get rid of it, never once having gotten to know what they brought.

Yeah, I'm not the person to talk to about optimism in regards to cars

Smartest move to get a car in this area is get a convertible.  You can't really go fast and show off any power.  You'll get stuck in the winter.  But at least in the summer you can put the top down and enjoy yourself.  Or get a giant SUV that you can't even park and be 'that guy'

Guitars are a better conversation and I don't even really play!  I got a synthesizer in the past year and I don't even have time to play it (I got a dirt cheap Casio which also is absolutely nothing to show off).  I used to play piano a long time ago.

By the time you get through my lists of things that I shoot down, I pretty much end up with writing and some video games.  Writing.  Let me tell you about my TYPING RIG.  I am working off an old Mac OS X 10.6.8 at home and rocking a Hewlitt-Packard something or other at work.  My go to browsers are Safari at home and Internet Explorer here.  My keyboard at home is wireless but the one here is wired, which I prefer.  Are you getting hot yet? Oh wait, the color of my monitor and board here are a good old 1990's silver and black...

Oh yeah...

I've always kinda wanted an SX4 hatchback.  I do a lot of business with the local Chrysler dealer, who for some reason, also sold Suzukis.  You could even get six speed manuals in those little sh*ts lol. Shame they didn't make a whole lot of them.

My beloved '96 Tercel is at that point where it's like "Do I spend the money to fix it, or nah?" It's lookin' like nah right now, unfortunately. I'm going to miss that turd  I've been rolling around in an '87 Camaro for the past couple weeks, and it's punching my wallet in the balls. Somehow, it manages to have a slower quarter mile time than my go kart Toyota, despite having over three times the displacement. It is pretty shiny though... I'm looking into some denim cutoffs and a Def Leppard t-shirt to go with it, it's gonna be great. I can feel my mullet growing as I type this.

Let's run down the list so far...

Jules: Mazda 3*

Kel: Scion TC

JB: Suzuki SX4

Maj: Renault Clio

Me: Chevrolet Camaro

Terca: Suzuki Swift

What a variety! We just need some input from RB and we're good to go.

I'm a little jealous of you who have musical talents.  I used to have a guitar, but I could never really play it.  I've always had access to a proper piano, but again, I never could figure it out.  I can play Yankee Doodle like a boss on my son's little keyboard though! It has laser sounds too, so... yeah. Pew pew.

I was about to post, but I just got a call from an old lady with a '94 Buick wagon for sale.  Awwww sh*t, guys. I might have a new daily driver lol

My car might be a piece of crap but it's my piece of crap car. It gets me to and from University and that's the most important thing.

Don't lie, your head has more in common with your average bowling ball than a terrible haircut from the days of yore.

Terca's Swift <3.  I'm for real its #1 fan.

And hey man, i'm gettin' there.  It might only be at about 5 millimeters long right now, but give it another week of Camaro driving, and I'll be at least half way to a Billy Ray Cyrus. Or maybe a Kenny Loggins. Yeah, I'll be there soon...  after a little hair transplant procedure or two.

I'm glad the weather is cooling off. It gives me an excuse to wear beanies everywhere, so I can pretend that I don't have an absolutely ridiculous hairline for someone my age.

It's a Mazda 3, not a 6. I couldn't afford the 6, but it gets good gas mileage and these days.

1987 Camaro  eh?

This will help your mullet....

Wait...wait hold on, Billy Ray Cyrus was mentioned, and so were mullets and the '80s...and we kind of know where Narf lives, so I believe this is the song we're looking for.

Gotta post some...

Under extreme duress/orders from SGJ, I shoved the Medusa around some.  Sorry RB, but at least the good news is apparently all about the Medusa have more time to burn.  You know, while everyone on the Janiri does all that commando infiltrator nonsense and gets themselves shot.

I've been getting inducted into a new university this week so I've been hard pressed to get online. Especially since I'm not able to get online at campus yet.... Tomorrow I get my ID card so I can get things moving.

As for time, given to much and the Janiri will come into the system to discover Jess is Queen and is lording it over the Batarian citizens while protecting them from the central government while pillaging the system for high value goods she can load onto the Medusa when the task force arrives.........

Or not......

But probably :P

Yeah, because Naleena is assuming Essul's okay with all the sabotage that's about to happen because he didn't say anything. Naleena is going to blow the computer facility after we take copies of the research, considering while we're going in stealth, this is not going to be one where they're going to not suspect they've been infiltrated. The Batarians will know after the fact or as soon as the first body or unconscious body is discovered. About 6 pounds of Semtex along with arc grenades are going to be used. This won't be small. People are going to die.

Then there is what the Hegemony is doing.

Conflict.

We're kind of ignoring Ashley's pink Phoenix armor in ME1 as an 80s spoof facepalm and using the ME3 Alliance standard without Ashley's bright blue special with the thigh highs.

White I can forgive since it's Arctic camo.
