And I figured that the youth on Thessia (you know these kids today) would be playing some music that would drive the adults nuts - you know it's the adults who like the electronic music. So Legion ends up taking Faed and Essul to a large club (don't mind the fact that the crowd in the vid wasn't noisy and shouting between songs - they're German, lol, no offense Maj, but my best friend is from your country and she just sits there during a metal concert and thinks we're too loud over here).

But I guess your friend goes to festivals sober, doesn't she? If so, then that might be the mistake

Seriously, rock music ist quite popular here in germany, the biggest festivals are "Rock am Ring" and "Rock am Park", both have mostly rock, punk or metal bands. And personally I don't know anyone who wouldn't go crazy at a rock concert. Well, except for my parents maybe but they're a bit too old for this anyway ^^

It may be true that many germans tend to have a somewhat grumpy, Arian-like attitude, at least most older people, but the crowd in that video (mostly younger people) is really disappointing. My brother is in a band as well and he says that especially in regions that are, let's say 'heavily influenced by traditions', it's really frustrating to play on a concert because the people just stand or sit in front of you with a grumpy face and don't move at all, while the band on the stage is performing its song.

But it doesn't always look like in the video you posted, the younger german audience is usually more like this:

Oh, and btw: WEEKEND, F*CK YEAH!

You're a better man than I. Anytime I see any kind of borderline emotional sh*t going down, I'm out.

It actually went better then I thought. A lot better. XD We got into a 10 minute rant on the nature of fate, bad luck, and other **** on his mind he wanted to scream angerly about. Then he smoked some weed, calmed down, and I made fried chicken for us. Im used to it.

So I got really sick over the weekend, which is funny, cause I also got booked for a solid 4 day block of closing shifts. So that's fun, work till 10 washing dishes, getting soaked, and walking out into the blistering cold to deliver pizza, while trying to get over a cold.

Okay, SO, here's what I'm going to try to do.  I'm going to move the race ahead to the next morning (I hope you guys at the Blasto movie can backtrack it or have your character talk about what they saw, and I figure this is like one day before the big race.  So, there's stuff I am trying to roll out and I'm going to get to it if people can have patience.  Here in the US, thanksgiving is Thursday, which may, once again, knock me out  (you really can't get a more perfect storm with me...this licensing right up to the holidays) but I should be able to post enough to at least keep things going.

I'll get Naleena to the Iallis Box today.

I'll get Irina's heat done today. Her time trial put her in the 15th position IIRC.

I'll move Faed and Essul to the track after a good night's rest at the hotel.

Thanksgiving will be a dead day for me as well, but once past Thursday, I should be able to get things going.

I figure I'll weasel Kira to the races as well here soon.  There's some other things involving her that I have to get done, too.  That's my objective for tonight.

After all this time, between holiday prep, cleanup from the store, extended business hours, and this damned cold, I finally have at least 1 day I can get some sort of posting done. XD Hallelujah, I say. Anyway, I'll do as much reading as I can to catch up, then i'll try and get some balls rolling and keep them rolling through the rp.

Hah, well one day is one day we'll be psyched to read your stuff!  Aside from behind the scenes stuff like PMs which I always do my best to respond to, I will likely post little to none today just because it is the most feared day for turkeys in the US

Actually about a month ago was the most feared day for turkeys. Chop chop. Gotta kill them, drain them, pump them full of crap then freeze them. I have to say I've made a turkey about a half-dozen times in my life and they've turned out perfect each time. But turkeys are about the most stupid birds on the planet, at least the domestic ones are.

But today is also another day on my diet. Steering clear of fattening foods. One helping only. Done.

And tomorrow is black friday! Will you stand in line in 20 degree weather all night to grab that door buster deal of that UHD TV for $400? I don't really need anything. My family and I hate each other so we don't exchange gifts. Last year I got a super deal on golf balls, and I still have them - didn't even get to them last year. Three dozen. Might want a new driver, but wait, I've scoped the stores and the ones that will be on sale need to be reshafted - another $100 - 150. Well that makes up for the price difference. Could use some new tops, but wait, they don't have the tall sizes on sale. Funny about that. I think I'll sleep in.

Getting myself an xbox one, with fallout 4 for 300. XD All thanks to -location redacted- and their online doorbuster. No need to go out to deal with that nonsense.

EDIT: Deal came and went while I was gone for 5 mins to keep my cat from throwing up in the house. God damn.

Would it sound weird to you guys that I'm hoping down the line we get a bit of reaper-created-body-horror down the road at some point? I've been on a Dark Souls/Demon Souls/Bloodborne kick on youtube, I think it's affecting how I come up with ideas. :P

One of our races using reaper technology in augmentation experiments? Sure. Just not from simple exposure to reaper tech or from indoctrination as was done in the original trilogy.

See the body horror stuff made ME3 a zombie shooter, even when fighting Cerberus who were "almost zombies." Reaper troops were taken from general populations and according to Garrus on Menae, one day you were fighting beside a person and the next day you were shooting your best friend. If you listened in the background, the Turians recognized them, too. But we didn't. They were given total body horror so that we wouldn't feel bad about shooting them.

Another thing that is a facepalm is the dextro- levo- amino acid thing. We have both in our bodies right now, and there is no reason why say Garrus couldn't eat our food and vice versa. It wouldn't kill us. They got the science wrong, but then reasons. It's the way the MEU is set up and goes back to ME: Revelations, so we can't change that.

So if you want to do the body horror thing, go ahead. Keep it confined to an organization doing it with tech say acquired from the Leviathan of Dis, for example. I had some plans for Cerberus, too, but that's down the road. Cerberus isn't going away. What is Jack Harper up to?

That's the crazy version thou, and I mean boss monster at end.  Besides, that isn't someone indoctrinated, but something possessed, which never happens again in the series.  A damn shame because frankly that was awesome.  You believed that Reapers pretty much used husks for fodder, but they could get more involved in their indoctrination monsters if they wanted to.  Proven later by Brutes and Banshees and such.

Still, yes, there's some difference from ME1 to 3.  I happened to like the idea that husks fried you with electricity, or fire in ME1 and 2 (Abominations).  But they're just straight zombies by ME3.  Why?  Frying people is nasty business!  And they had electronic goo in them so why not?  Anyway, digressing

Well, one more test on Monday but holiday weekends are not great for writing.  I think I've told you all how I can really take a pass on all the sort of faux holidays, as insane as that sounds, like today, the 'day after thanksgiving'.  I'll keep up tho on PMs and with a piece or two a day.

COMMERCIAL!  If you were ever thinking about getting Elder Scrolls Online, it is 60% off this weekend (I believe until Dec 1 for PS4, maybe Nov 31 for XBone).  That is a huge discount.  There are many other sales going on for ESO right now for those like me in the game, veritable steal stuff.  But 60% off for the downloadable version is screaming great!  The standard version of the game, $60, becomes $24.  There's an imperial edition for like a little bit more.  Anyway, if you ever were thinking about it, this is the time to get it.  And if you want to hear one person's view on it, the game is awesome!  Plenty for single players, co-op, Pvp is optional but I think it is awesome and has actually gotten many of my PvE only friends involved.

Okay, my work is done.

There's a monster you encounter in bloodborne who in the codex was this grwat hero who went down fighting a bunch of monsters. In truth, he was the clean up crew for monsters caused by his orginjzations cure-all medicine they made a religion around, and being a fanatic he became a grotesque beast himself after a while. The thing that stivks with me id thst he's a twisted wreck, and starts off mindless until you damage him to half health.

He wakes up, his eye flutters open and he looks around. But then he doesn't react to being a freak, but instead comments on finally remembering his magic sword, going and picking it up off the ground. He goes from a crawling monsters to a bipedal knight-monster again, and his entire fight mechanics and character changes caude nos your fighting the ledgendary holy knight you saw crawling around Ring style, now walking and sword dueling like its no big deal.

Even when you beat him and cut off his head, his severed head asks you calmly of the church he served kept helping people, then passes on with a sigh.

I want to try something like that. It struck a weird interest in me that this guy wakes up a freak and just doesn't even care. "Oh, im a horrible thing monster with 2 heads and hooves for legs? That's weird. Time to die, hunter." The 0 fucks given attitude along with the breaking of the whole "oh just snap them out of it and they'll stop fighting" trope I'm curious to see if I can pull it off.

Well, the graphic design of Dark Souls (and Bloodborne+ Demon's Souls) is probably one of the best I've ever seen in a video game, especially the monster design. It's like every single piece of artwork and design has its own little story behind it. Just think of the painted world of Ariamis, or the Last Giant in Dark Souls 2, or Artorias of the Abyss (my profile pic btw) or the Undead dragon, or...hey, did I ever mention that I love the souls games?

@JB: I hope your ideas are not too similar to the ideas I have for the side plot I created a while ago (and haven't even started yet), because I took some inspiration from these games as well  :D

And something Dark souls does that Mass Effect was never able to is to present a fictional world that is authentic and believable in its own context. I have no idea what the authors of Bioware were thinking when they created the lore of the ME universe, but it's ridiculous. It's not just this weird reaper transformation that miraculously happens within seconds (as seen in one of the ME3 render trailers), it's basically everything. Human integration in the galactic society, AIs, The human reaper in ME2 and especially the whole asari race, just to name a few. When I write in this RP, I try to stay as far away from these things as possible, because even though this is pure fiction, I prefer to write fiction that makes a certain sense to me. That's for example the reason I won't create asari characters of any relevance.

But this body horror thing is the same like the "Bad guys are wearing masks"-thing, like in Star wars for example. It makes it easier for the player/viewer to ignore the fact that the bad soldiers are human beings, just like the good soldiers are, to prevent moral conflicts that always go hand in hand with killing people.

Anyway, I will post in both CS and Stormhammer tomorrow. It's weird, when I have a lot to do and don't check in here for a few days, then I'm suddenly super-motivated to write something.
