Depleted eezo core fuel.

Why not?

Say it's tungsten if need something that's heavy and won't melt in the atmosphere. (melting point 4400K)

Or if you don't mind if it melts, but doesn't boil, it could be depleted uranium which would be heavier and pack more punch when it hits. (MP 2200K, BP 4400K)

But if you need shielding to work with it, it's likely been in a radioactive environment, so that might be the uranium. Or a tungsten/uranium alloy made under extreme pressure.

I didn't say tungsten because I thought that'd be pretty common in Mass Effect and I'd think the shielding on a battery could handle it by then.  Science Fiction and whatnot.  Basically I blackboxed it, with superdense depleted 'core fuel', which is, well, you know, supertungsten, actually it's superdepleted uranium.

I mean, ****, it should be new right?  Cause that's what makes it awesome.

I know, pretty soon I'll be talking 'phasers'  Who in their right mind would make any kind of science fiction with 'phasers' and expect it to be successful?

You know, switch it or not, I am really surprised Mass Effect never made mention of such thing.  If an eezo reactor is a super nuclear reactor basically, what happens to the waste product of fuel?  And I bet it's good for something.  Even if the reactor is 99.99repeated etc. percent efficient, something must be left over.

Edit:  Kel posts and immediately remembers Tungsten was used in Mass Effect 1.  Nobody has ever thought of this kind of bombardment before?

It just still doesn't sound as awesome!

The lore of Mass effect is as inconsistent as...well, something that's really inconsistent. I mostly try to think of something new instead of searching through the mass effect wiki for details because I hate the mass effect lore. It tells you something about kinetic barriers but for some reason the characters never have them up when it counts (an example would be if Shepard shoots Ashley/Kaidan in ME3; did you forget to replenish your shields, Ash???). But I think I already mentioned a few times that I don't like the ME lore.

Just one more week and I'm (mostly) free of work and all that sh*t. And I have to set up my new PC, I just hope it'll go smooth.

I always figured the eezo core reactor was some kind of super duper fusion type reactor. So black box it.  :wizard:  Make it sound awesome.... because jet bikes flying at mach 3 were ridiculously awesome.

Lore in the Mass Effect Universe is like some kind of zany free-for-all so it sort of leaves the door open for things of our own making. Besides Babe doing this with VERA is awesome.

I live again! My computer is back in action, and I'm off of my afternoon shift. Let me see if I can get the creative juices flowing.

Without the "again" that had a Vorcha ring to it. "I live!"

Jen and I talked about introducing weapons like this. Krogan designed weapons. Real heavy stuff.... because Krogan.

So I added history. Rachni. They got Garvug immediately after the Rachni Wars. And when you're cut off from trade because of a Sonax blockade you fire up the ancient gun works.

To clarify the confusion that has occured:

1) the commando shuttles cannot land until those A-A batteries are taken out.

2) same goes for Morgan.

I was actually jotting down notes this morning, trying to make sense of it all lol.

I think I got the teams down:

Mako: Vayne, Arian, Naleena, Johnny.

Shuttle 1: Team Boom, Faed, Essul.

Shuttle 2: Twins, that squad leader I already forgot but will remember once I look at my notes, other commandos.

I've got a pretty good idea of what's going on otherwise. At least I think so.

Mako: Vayne, Arian, Naleena, Johnny, and Irina.  ;)

Irina has been pretty quiet this time around. She's not around Jenus.

BTW: if anyone writing for team Mako needs Irina in their post, feel free to ghost a line or two or three. You know how she talks and behaves.

For you guys out there, this is software certification stuff. Avid software is far from intuitive. I've their audio programs and professionals in the field have to keep up. Media Composer 8.X is awesome stuff and I can't begin to wrap my head around it.

I'm struggling managing 3 year old audio software -- Cubase 7. It suits my needs and I don't see a point in upgrading since I'm not working for a studio. Keeping up with this stuff can drive a person into the poor house.

Specifically, I'm doing a one week course on Media Composer. Because I like to make myself suffer and study big books of technical stuff involving Trims and 3 point Edits

I think it sounds awesome, RB. I admit a little jealousy at doing some more learning again.

I'm learning athlete stuff. How to swing a golf club properly. And that's pretty challenging.

I'm going to be able to post tommarow. The battery falling over, would that be easily seen from a distance? Or would it be something they wouldn't find out until after they try to order it to fire?

They'll see the explosions, for sure. Try to contact Weyrloc Url but get nothing but static. Maybe send a recon team to find out what's going on.  We'll be gone by then.

I'm holding because I have mostly filler until the batteries are out.  The reading is fun, though!
