Sorry that I slowed everything down like that (it took almost a week now?) but I decided that it's best for now to remove Arian from the Janiri. It's not that he will just disappear, I actually have quite some ideas for him but for now I'm just glad that he's not on the team any longer. Let's be honest, so far he's not that much of a good character and at least writing his parts has become somewhat annoying to me.

Anyway, I have a new character that might be a less repetitive addition to the team just waiting for the Janiri. It's not a soldier though or anything close to that.

@cknarf: I actually already thought about something like that because one of my favorite book authors (Markus Heitz) did the something like that with a fan favorite character from one of his book series. It was damn hilarious. So this could be really funny, thumbs up from my part.

Well, to me Arian suffers from not knowing exactly what he's doing himself.  I could easily have Jenus try to stop him  (and she'll likely at least want to say goodbye, in her Jenus way), but Arian...who seems intent on resolving this thing that happened with his wife...would have to see that being aboard the Janiri is somehow the best way to have that occur.  There are many reasons this could be the case, but I think it'd be up to you, Maj, to determine if somehow logic can override Arian's constant anger.

Well, the Janiri is returning to Earth, so Johnny is getting a free ride.

And i was, through Naleena, trying to get Arian to see this. But it appears Maj has different plans. Anyway, Arian is not hurting for credits, and he can find transport off Earth pretty easily to anywhere in the galaxy. Just remember if anyone goes to Omega to PM me first.

Sorry, Maj, but if you thought Arian was leaving without saying goodbye to Johnny, you were sorely mistaken.

Or maybe you weren't.

Either way is fine. lol.

Yeah, narf.  I do appreciate you giving it a try though.  Seriously, sometimes you just want to write, yeah?  I get it I think.

Sorry I haven't been on lately. Been real tied up with some stuff. I need to catch up with what I've missed. But I'll try, tomarrow probably. Today I need to go and get a tire patched up.

To all of you awesome writers, I miss your stuff.

I understand with life circumstances, like RedBelle for example, and all of us who have things we have to do sometimes.  But I do miss it, even if it is the one entry every now and then.  We kind of do that so I'm not really hurting for that.  Maybe it is the more, sit down and see something long and interesting written, although I know that takes time.

For my part, I'll be doing what I do, too much of it probably.  And don't feel obligated please.  This is more of a self interest kind of thing, and a thing to say how much I love reading your stuff.

Very quite.  I want you to know I need an answer to this insane problem on only BioWare's website of losing text, and not being able to copy or paste.  I literally have to stop, because I lost yet another item after copying the text, only to find it didn't take.  I literally used to at least be able to copy my posts and paste them in another website or word to retrieve later if a mistake was made and now I can't do that either.

Literally and only on BioWare's site is this a problem.  What is wrong with them?  I can't keep doing this.  It isn't like I hit back on my browser or anything.

Kel what did you do to make the website hate you?

Anyway, I'm still trucking, even if I can't do so often. I so far haven't had much problems, but my posts have been a bit shorter so that might be it. I'd say it might be good to rest up. Like you said, this is recreational. There's no need to get yourself pissed over this website being dogshit.

But I can't write, I simply can't not in any meaningful way anymore with problems like this.  I mean, seriously, I know IE is not as popular a browser but if BioWare can't keep up with it, it makes me wonder what exactly they can keep up with. 1/3 of users still use IE, no matter how many little fans want to pitch how great Firefox and/or chrome are.  Really, to say you have to use FF or Chrome to keep up is so small minded, and I know BioWare aren't the only ones...still, this is a video game company you'd think that if a website matters they'd do it right.

I'm really pretty disappointed.  This of course aside from all the other things that disappoint me in general about BioWare.  But to not be functional on IE is not really any kind of badge of honor and I do dare say smarts of having blinders on. Sorry.

Kel...I'm going to say this, as a person who knows you as a friend, and as a person who admires your writing ability in every sense of the word.

Nobody should like using IE. Even microsoft doesn't like IE. It's why they got rid of it as a default browser in favor of "Microsoft Edge", in fact that may be the source of your current frustration. Has IE been updating/supported still by microsoft?

It's not about liking it.  It's what I have at work that I have no choice about.  Now if it were just me, and work, I'd understand.

But really, REALLY, there is no excuse for anyone running a website to ignore 1/3 of all users.  No excuse whatsoever.

I have safari at home, and I have Firefox at home.  But it wouldn't change one single bit how I feel, because having those browsers is on me, and I have depleting tolerance for BioWare not attending to IE EVEN THOUGH I could post from home.

This couples with a lot of frustrations, but I am telling you, after losing my last post, I think that was hitting my limit for good.

There's not a lot they did to earn a lot of good will. Hell, I lost one of my long posts to this site a few months back and I didn't even want to post the whole next day. And that was just because the site decided to log me out for no reason.

But yeah, all I can hope for is that we manage to perservere with the rp, and just ignore the dumb **** bioware keeps doing.

After a forced hiatus, I'm back, and it seems I missed something.

Kel, I understand that at work you might not have support for any other browser and may not be able to even download any other browser. I understand that downloading software may be restricted to the IT dept. People may have downloading software disabled on their machines. Being forced to contend with Internet Exploder in this day and age is ridiculous, but it is what it is. Adobe Shockwave Flash player crashes all the time in both Firefox but less so on Chrome. Chrome's pop up blocker sucks. Firefox has the best popup and ad blocker. But you can't use them at work.

So.... write your posts in Notepad or in Word then copy and paste into IE. All Windows OS has Notepad. You can set it for word wrap.

I have to use Chrome because one of my audio sites doesn't support Firefox or IE. I hate Chrome.

That's what I am saying though.  I literally cannot paste anything at all onto this website.  Even if I write it in notepad or Word.  This site does not allow pasting onto it of any kind because it is so poor.

I'm glad I don't have any of these issues, I usually only loose posts because of my own stupidity when I accidentally close my browser or tab or reload the page. Still sucks though. Personally I don't care about this forum, the way bioware treats the people here is ridiculous and it doesn't surprise me if there are technical issues with the site. The stories are the only reason I'm still here.

WTF? So you have to use the text editor that's here, and suffer? What about if you select all and copy the text from the editor before you press post? If the site crashes, it was copied from IE, and you might be able to paste into IE.

I used to use that for a work around with IE. Still, it sucks.

But just to let you know, with Chrome, when we do our PM posts, I have to copy first into Notepad with no wordwrap, then copy from Notepad into Word so I can see the text in a readable format. If I use wordwrap it just jumbles the text all together with no paragraphs. That's stupid Chrome for you. So it's a two step copy. But for some other stupid reason, since you did your work in IE, your single paragraphs (in Word) are equivalent to my double hard return paragraphs (in Word). I don't know how Word knows the difference from text coming from Notepad, but somehow it does. Gah!!!!

Oh, and Jen and everyone else? It's a multiple step copy to Word for you guys, too. So it's not just Kel. It's this stupid web site and the way MS Word reads formatting from Chrome.

Well I should be able to copy but I guess that isn't working always now either. I'm pretty frustrated and yes I'm wondering if I should continue despite me wanting to very badly

When in doubt, continue, or I will have to have Naleena get assassinated.

Break up your posts in to smaller posts, that way if it screws up you don't lose as much.

Sorry to hear about your work postin' situation Kel.

Maybe you could email it to one of us during the day and post that way lol.
