I'm leaving things open for now so that people can get what they need done, done. FYI, it's night time here and I'm off to bed soon. Earliest I can post is in about 12 hours so if you folks want to do stuff in town or on the road, take the time now.

Otherwise I'll kick off the DA segment sometime afternoon. I've got a D&D sess where we're trying to get citizenship rights for Minotuar's in a town. The Tantrist's offering piercings to all who want them. And My Barbarian's found herself as party leader and is trying to get away from the group so she doesn't have to be. And found herelf in a tent with a naked and overly amourous Minotaur she's was keeping back with the point of her greatsword.

Cool, sounds like a wonderful time. XD

Vaynes armor has a giant hole in its hump, and cause it has mass effect generators built into it, and its insulators and electronic components are now broken, it'd basically turn into an eezo radiation leaking bomb if you were to turn it on now.

Jess looks it over and smiles. "Well this is a well a truely piece of prestidge equipment of the sort that we in the trade like to call....... Scrap. Bust beyond repair. Destined for the great recycler in the sky. Any good armoursmith would tell you to toss it and get some newer, more fancy armour".

Jess grinned. "Good thing you came to see one of the better one's who hasn't time for nimbying when a piece of equipment needs bringing back in line. I can't fix it as it was right now without the tools for the job. Luckily I have access to those. What I need is the time to do it. Till then, I can bypass those generators and rig you up with some standard battery powered units. The kind that strap around you on a belt. That'll bypass alot of that radiation the ME generator's would otherwise throw out. Some of those electrical componant's I can bypass and run straight to the battery packs. But so you know the batteries won't last long at full power. This piece of the past needs alot of work. But when I'm done, she'll dance, sing and whislte and give a run for it's money with any modern armour you care to mention".

^Psst, was that supposed to actually be in the story section?

Okay, so I have a little bit about what is going on in New York, but I'll hold off until tomorrow with it.  For the story of our little band, Morgan will be all ready to interact with whomever over the course.

The sun was beginning to go down. Naleena took a puff on her pipe and checked her pocket watch. Her eyes were like slits as she scanned the area around them. She was getting hungry. She stopped her steed, pulled out her Phalanx, and attached a shoulder stock. She aimed the pistol  and shot what looked like a small deer that was grazin' out near some cacti about 200 yds away.

"Looks like it's gonna get dark soon. We'd better set up camp." Naleena looked over at Dahlia and Morgan. "The two of you should gather some firewood. Irina and I will skin an prepare this."

"What are you going to cook it in?" Jess asked.

Naleena eyed Vayne. "Since no one brought any cooking supplies, it looks like the hump part of his Tomkah armor. Don't worry Vayne. We'll clean it out after we're done."

Vayne let out a sigh, which soon turned into a chuckling grin, "Believe it or not, this wouldn't be the first time I've needed to use armor that way." he said as he cracked his neck, "Some folks will have to help me get it off. Just make sure you guys don't mess up the paint too bad, its still new.

/////////

Also, So you know jess, vayne's red armor is actually pretty advanced despite its age. Though what you wrote works for me because it made me laugh a lot. Vayne would probably keep using his Tomkah armor until his new one is fully back online.

Better to use what he knows work, then work with something that's only half-repaired.

Also, vayne's armor with its new paint job looks like the one to the far left.

Additionally, how the helmet works. Whatever artist this was really did a good job.

@RedBelle:  I love pen and paper RPGs!

@Jensaarai:  Nice, I see the inspiration

For the Drowned Aspire, I am ready to go, but wanted to wait on our current setting master (RedBelle) before I got to putting anything down.

No pressure, Red....

Okay, it started at 0530..... didn't start when it was supposed to..... and finished at 1630......

Nine hours! Even by my standards.... that's excessive.

The good news, We've found the lead we needed to locate the gods chosen champion who failed to destroy the titans.

Jess went to work on Vayne's newer set of armor. Anika built the fire, and Naleena cut pieces of meat and threw them into the hot steel "kettle." After the meat was thoroughly cooked, they sat down for a hearty meal of venison. After dinner, the group exhanged stories from their homeworlds. Dahlia told the legend about Omega: that it could be built into a structure like the Citadel but it was being exploited for eezo. Naleena told the story about Lusia and the Krogan rebellions. Vayne told about the legends of the Ancients on Tuchanka. Morgan didn't say much. Irina just said she was going to go for a captain cook around the camp. Jess rambled on about some legend of a Captain Jack Sparrow and weaved the tale well. Then it was off to bed. Vayne ended up cleaning his own armor and took first watch. Anika was sandwiched in between Jess and Naleena, but was facing Naleena. Morgan was spooning with Jess. Dahlia felt like a fifth wheel and was cold. Irina took second watch and draped her coat over Dahlia and sat by the fire while Vayne went to sleep and almost woke the entire camp with his snoring.

Okay maybe some of that is too damn silly for official story :D

But I'm pretending I'm not looking.

Anyway, whatever RedBelle, having your fun with real life role playing. See what you did by waiting? I blame you for Julia's posts

What? Attaching the shoulder stock to the pistol instead of using a rifle? That's straight out of "For a Few Dollars More."  ;)  Well using the Tomkah armor, maybe, but no one brought stuff for cooking meals...  :P  and we have to eat, and sometimes energy bars just don't cut it if you know what I mean. Plus now we have another hide we can sell when we get back to town (think Red Dead Redemption). I'm getting into the role! And that's what people do after dinner on the trail. They tell stories. :D

PS: Don't forget to start the next one.... "At sun up.....

Okay. I'm just going to set out a template here and let you guys play since I can't get the time I need to lay this out all smart and neat.

The compound surrounding the converted mining ship is a high wall of watch towers and hidden black market defense towers that masquerade as additional comm and sensor towers.

There are two posts on either side of the gate that are manned with the gate being a swivel, jaw open gate that closes one wall behind the other when shut, then rotates to make a flat level entrance for people to enter across.

Only people with genuine business are permitted entry. Thinking about who they are it shouldn't be difficult to gain initial entry but if anyone wants to come up with ways of getting in, feel free.

Other than the entrance..... I'm going to throw this open again so it's a build that will allow the players to interact with things that they can write about.

What would you like to see in this cult in terms of people? Baring in mind that it is predominately human, what additional struture's would you expect? How would you expect them to act around newcomers?

Put a few idea's down and I'll come back and look at building a more substanitial inner wall area to go into.

The mining ship and an underground bunker door that leads down into the gound are there. As well as their own 2 ship landing platform for their ships to come and go. A small hanger sit's off to the side for their repair and maintenance.

As for what's underground?

I haven't gone that far yet. So I think we're camping at the gates? I alway's go with what other's drop in so feel free to go with that. Or try and gain entry.

Sorry I didn't get my post up today. It's been hectic. On the plus side.... I have seen my first tomato growing on the vine!

Well, I'm not so good on cults, because cults have the aspect of being weird, and not that dissimilar to me.  Sadly, it invokes the image of either flower children, robed HP lovecraftian worshipers, or somesuch mindless way of being.  Which, while fun, is not that interesting to interact with.  Outwardly, they would have to seem semi-normal and relatively amiable so people wouldn't walk away.  There would probably be some hierarchy they would defer to, possibly that the players wouldn't understand.  You know, they may have guards but the who's who would have to be a single leader (probably) or a council, more likely a leader with a circle of people he or she runs things through.  Basically, all the cultists would know exactly who they were and to never cross them.  Beyond that, it gets silly into robes and nonsense which probably doesn't translate to a rough and tumble world very well.

I'm assuming we did do something like camp outside the gates for the night.  Morgan's dreaming....

Ooooh,. A group of other people trying to get in? Go with it!

This is why I like building a scenario with others. It just grows in ways no one might have thought of.

So go ahead and create a outside camp of people outside the walls of the DA. It gives more options for RP. Which is always good.

Heat sticks? What about firewood? There was them short trees growin' around the area. We had that old west thing going. Kel, you think my scene was a bit too silly? Mecha steeds don't graze and make horse sounds to warn you of critters and nasty folk sneakin' up.

Here's what's happening....I could be writing a ton, because that's how much time I have.  I don't want to because I want to see what you all create.  That's why I didn't add the group outside (and if I may say, fine job Red), that's why I didn't do a big description of the compound, even though you provided the tools Red, and that's why I am waiting for Julia and/or Jensaarai.  But I watch with eager eyes, waiting...

...with no chest burster parasites.  Just waiting to write :)
