Guys, without going into details FH will be unable to join for the forseeable future due to RL event's taking precedence. Due to the event I do not forsee his character joining us in the short or mid term. I'm mentioning this as wheels were put in motion in the thread to incorporate his character into the plot that I'm sure your all aware of. However, do not expect a new character to emerge from them.

Out of curiosity, when could I incorporate his character? In a few days I'll probably be in a good enough mood to start writing.
Nothing will come today or tomorrow, but after that...well, my reasoning is that it might help me with what's happening right now. Something to do isn't a bad thing.
Still, it's up to you guys. Just let me know what you want. Just need something to do and I'm thinking clearly.
@FH Once we get past the Sheriff we'll be robbing a train which will not lend itself to character intro's.... but thinking around it..... there's no reason why your character couldn't have snuck aboard ship and stowed away. That way your character can come out at anytime. Duellos is one of those places that promises everything but deliver's little or nothing. If your character came there on false promises and see's a ship leaving perhaps he thought to sneak aboard? On account that anywhere is better than Duellos.....
If that doesn't float your boat we can wait until we're in space and generate some idea's on where we meet your character. As a backup we always have Deidrus's council contact coming up with names for folks they think will be useful to the cause.
I like the sneaking on the ship idea. I'll chew on that and see what I could cook up. It still might help to know some more history and read the RPG. Like, a train?
The planet Duellos.... otherwise known as the place where every cowboy frontier town shtick get's aired. And railroad robberies are sooooo cool when it's on the back of a mecha-steed.

Basically, the ship needs Silaris armour and the people who make it won't give us any.... So under Spectre authority, we're taking it so the ship won't get nailed under a collector beam.
The armour goes from the Asari industrial plant to the port town for shipment. So we're intercepting it.
Okay guys, sorry for the delay in writing the actual story, but I've been getting this ready for the showdown between the Sheriff and Jess. This soundtrack was very important to the atmosphere. I played all these instruments, mind you, and I did this parody as a special thing for this. I can see the spaghetti sauce dripping off of it. Playing, recording, and mixing takes time I'll have you know. And we needed our own spaghetti western music for this occasion. And you can even download a free copy of it in 320 kbps mp3!!!

What's the instrument in the beginning of the song that plays through the whole thing? I've heard it everywhere but I never knew what it was. I also like it, slow and atmospheric.
Finished the application. Added and ironed out a few details. Might add some drawings later and the name and class of the ship, but other than that it's completed. Let me know if there's anything wrong or that messes with the continuity. Thorough wiki research aside, there might still be a flaw or 2.
Thinking about how to introduce the character, what about a fight scene? Maybe something goes wrong during the robbing and someone or a group has their gun or biotics out and Avan takes them out. I think his character should have an action-y intro, kinda proving a bit of worth to the group? Sort of like how Thane/Zaeed/Grunt/pretty much every ME teammate get introduced in the middle of some action?
That's just throwing an idea out there, but let me know. Maybe we can collaborate on something. I might write his intro on Duellos and how he gets on the same trip as the group and then so on and so forth.
@FH: I'll look your sheet over later tonight. The head of the story is on hiatus so there is no approval process per se. Basically the lot of us getting together and figuring out how it should go.
@FH and Cknarf. There is work being done on the story behind the scenes. I was pushing to print some but haven't heard back. But it is at the point of being almost done anyway, once SJ and RB add their last parts.
@SJ: Fantastic! I love the homage to 'A Few More Dollars' and 
yes I love metal, but I love almost all music in some way. Metal is what I grew up with, and well, you know how influences go. Actually, it was Rush first, then there's a progression. But I digress.
I blame my classical music upbringing really, and being forced to take piano lessons. It turned into part of a big rebellion.

Well, fine. We'll just all stay awake with anticipation...
So people know there's another multi-author thing going around, and that takes more time to spin out with all the characters caught up in the same location.
The good news is it shouldn't take as long and has been worked on.
I'm going to suggest that we have a splitting up of characters after this so not everything is caught up in PMs and because it has been some time since the new characters were introduced without recourse to interact with existing characters. It will reduce bottlenecking, as much as I like it when tons of characters are together. There are a lot of ways we can go with this.
I have another point I want to address, besides that one and it is more personal. Terca is temporarily at least gone and with him is the main character, and the reason we're all on the Audron. I find it hard to ghost the lead for an extended period of time and for my own characters motivation, while the Collectors certainly are galaxy threatening, there are more character driven motivators. The second suggestion, well really it is more of a question, is should we continue on the Audron ghosting Deidrus?
Good morning. The trouble with growing old is that you have to eat sawdust for bread, and thus if you make toast you have to eat it right away. Coffee on the other hand becomes a food group. Not just any kind of coffee, either. It has to be the good stuff made to a consistency that will allow a spoon to stand up in it without sugar. You can quote me on that.
While the Collectors thing can certainly be a backdrop, but they are not the primary motivators for any of my characters. "Loyalty missions" on the other hand, are. But once they're done, what then?
We've got other sub plots in motion at the moment that are, in my opinion, far more interesting than the Collectors.

* Morgan's Family
* Naleena's problem with the Salarians - say hello to several episodes of "Alias" with an unsympathetic protagonist
* Stuff for our other characters
There is a possible solution to Deidrus: The Council temporarily reassigns him and assigns another Spectre. No not Blasto. But it would be either Asari or another Turian, or (please not) a Salarian and one of us control the character and write the plot. Perhaps the Council decided that Shepard working on the Collector issue was enough.
Perhaps the Council secretly decided to take the reaper threat seriously and a more experienced Spectre was needed for this, and this team was suitable.

I'm going to be delayed getting the sheriff part up. I had to be taken into hospital on a precaution by the doctor today. I've been okayed as fine but I'm wiped. Not going to get much done other than bedrest.
Meantime, I'm liking the subplot. But on the matter of Deidrus... I have another idea....
