Go ahead, Deidrus is an open character right now. Just don't kill him, mkay? ![]()
Regarding The Great Train Robbery, and asari commandos:
Okay, I had a little fun here and introduced a few (three: Mira, Jenus and Talis) characters who make their appearances in other fiction of mine. Maybe don't kill them? I step aside though for story purposes if you must, though. And of course the train needs to be robbed, so regardless I don't see them coming out on top of anything. But for a slight show off of rough work, they were introduced as fiction for a BSN multiplayer group player designed mission (Bronze Effect). Here's are two links to the fun stuff if you're looking for something to do:

Back to the story. The turian XO is getting named by Julia. Sorry, I forgot if he even had a name and referred to him as 'The XO' He's the one now not in his own quarters thanks to Jess and Anika.
@RedBelle: I lolled so hard! No, no, never should be....

I'm waiting for RedBelle to give us the Deidrus briefing before committing to anything with the train. Morgan gave his ideas in game, and I'm fine with whatever gets decided.
These are my setting ideas for the train. The base, as RB describes, sounds impenetrable. I imagine most of those reasons can be left to the imagination. And I imagine the Spectre would stay there, since that is the priority point. Then I imagine there's some loading station in a viable and discreet landing area where Council ships can deliver and lift product away without any questions. Between these points runs the grav train at high speeds. Like a good western, the grav train probably makes its way across all types of terrain, including some tremendous canyon drops which the tracks pass over.
On board, there would be several cars of however people think they should be designed. Likely they are enclosed. I imagine three teams each of four asari commandos on board, for a total of 12. One team fore, one team aft, and one team around the cargo? There are probably a handful of crew...at least an Engineer/Pilot and a Fireman/Backup pilot. They would be non-combatants and there is a chance they might be turian, or salarian. Or they could be more asari.
Thats' what I imagine, at least. And I imagined that the commandos would be a pretty tough force to fight as a whole. Not that the players wouldn't beat them in a fight, but because of their ability, maybe the players would think of other ways to avoid them, or take them on in small numbers only.

Four commandos would be a very tough fight. They aren't Serrice Guard, but they're still going to be very tough. There's a bad apple on the team right now who is not that concerned with whether Deidrus Androkan likes her or not. The key was in he last line to Eteon, "I have no quarrel with you, Eteon." She is, however, loyal to the team.

@SGJ... Anika's currently in the showers having the worlds fastest scrub down along with Hanar'd Jess and a ripe Morgan. Then she's picking up Jess and plonking her in her armour if that's what it's going to take!
"Luv... there's a proper time and place for the hard shell".
"Nows that time Captain".
"It isnt"!
"It is"!
"Isn't"!
"Is"!
"Whose the Captain"!
"Not you for much longer if don't get into that armour"!
"I'm not going to get shot boarding a train"!
Sound of a gun unfolding. "Who said anything about getting shot on the train"?

Finished first post. I was going to create a random hanar, but Zymandis actually makes some sense and adds to that story in ME3.

Looks good. We just met up with Frank Eli and there'll be the train robbery next. After that we should do a match up.
I had some confusion over the train robbery. The asari base is asari, not council, correct?

On the time scale, I'm available to write stuff now and so am going to do a bit on the asari spectre. If any of it conflict with stuff people want to do later, fine I can edit.
Here's the basics as I imagine them and from what I see. The asari complex is a top secret military base. Shotgun Julia made reference to a company I will have it be associated with. The base is probably like a fort and could hold out against the tide of Nybrid HuCollectors for a while, and in the event it would be overrun, the asari can all get out on a ship and megapurge the base, wiping all data and basically nuking it. That isn't what it has come down to yet, but they're probably prepared. In the meantime, it is important to get all items like armor back to base for evacuation or destruction, and hence product is coming back by train. Mkay?
I hope that doesn't mess up any details people had planned. Or if it does I will edit. Modern technology lets me do that. If we were chisling this story in stone, you'd all be screwed...

Yes. Asari base is Asari.
Essentially the council ownthe planet but when it came time to share the wealth everyone had a 'Mine mine mine mine mine'. moment and so there is little council representation other thanthe divided up the spoils. It all comes back to the council in the end, but the council race who get's the most out of Duellos gets bragging rights. "We ought to own the lot and you should work for us"! Kinda deal.

Remember to throw idea's and intent's back and forth guys. It sounds like there's plots afoot and it'll be epic if they mingle and interlace..... weave.... happen at the same time.....
By the way, it's been asked so I'm letting everyone know. The ship stays skimming the surface of the planet for now. It leave when the heist is done.

And considering there is an Asari military base there, one would expect at least an Asari cruiser with a wolf pack in orbit.

Posté 24 juillet 2014 - 07:20
Well, I wrote it actually lighter than that. There's an evacuation transport. I kind of presumed the base would be pretty substantial and maybe not need the constant presence of a fleet above. However, with an evacuation in progress, I am sure that there will be an asari cruiser en route. According to lore, ships needs pickets to help them determine when other ships attack, so I also presume there would be a squadron of three ish frigates with it.
Anyway, go ahead and add what you need. Even if the frigates are atmosphere worthy, I imagine the corporate liftoff has room for a lot more, and is prepared to move a lot more. So it would be a well armed, atmospheric thing...sort of like a Starlifter that can go into space. But the asari version. Sound good?

Sounds good with a wolf-pack of about 20 frigates, and a cruiser en route. Frigates are atmosphere worthy. And trust me that is not a lot. The Asari have thousands of frigates.

Posté 24 juillet 2014 - 07:50
20 is a lot. They might not need that many unless there's a space threat. I guess I'm also considering asari ships to be pretty good.
But 20 frigates couldn't probaby land all at once at a fortress facility is what I'm imagining? Nothing is written in stone, but I imagine something with very high reinforced fortress walls, extermal turrets, and a central landing platform for one ship. So, you know, as to protect against someone landing en masse within the fort.
What could happen is that a cruiser might assist evacuating personel with shuttles. Again, not a lot of personnel, I imagine...probably most manufacturing is automated. That would save the transport for things like critical equipment, the data, product, and a few crew. There would be maybe, I don't know, 25-40 scientists and staff? This is ME world so I just have this idea it doesn't take a lot of people to get things done. It is like steel plants these days, but even more automated with less people?
Anyway, the asari base should be able to be evacuated with no problems. I see a Cruiser there basically for like something really unexpectedly bad to happen and out of the blue, and in space. A cruiser would likely blow anything away that wasn't another military cruiser. And since while this is asari, the Council seems to be giving it is thumbs up.
Nobody was planning on having the collector ship show up were they? That would seem uncharacteristic. And scary.

You have to remember you're not in Asari space. They would have a cruiser in the system and a wolfpack of frigates. Because that is a strategic asset and a forward military base and they would be protecting it. I'm just saying.
The collector ship was a dreadnought. It was about 1.5 km long. That was scary.

On the subject of frigates and space forces.... I'd say they are travelling in from somewhere. The planet's going to hell is something that could not be avoided and having a fleet available to intervene just means the Audron can't get away with the heist. It's more of a ticking clock situation.
#1043
Posté 24 juillet 2014 - 08:14
Okay, have them in the cluster. They'll arrive shortly after the Audron escapes the system, and they'll deal with the mess on the planet.

Posté 24 juillet 2014 - 08:44
I presume, by the way, though a good solid bombardment of the Drowned Aspire facility may be imminent, that you intended the DA creatures to escape to cause future trouble RedBelle? Or would they be obliterated by space to surface firepower?

It's not like they're geniuses, or that there's a lot of them. Or that they're going to be welcomed when they land on a world. They may raise havoc at a spaceport and kill a dozen people before being gunned down by security.

Okay. Jen. We gotcha.
@RedBelle: Deidrus hasn't mentioned the other Spectre to the group, has he?
By the way, Morgan is screwing this up for post train robbery. So for all you player characters out there, like Vayne, and Dahlia, and Irina, and Frank Eli...there uh, might be some splitting of the groups. Not that we can't handle it. There can be one Audron group and one, well, not on the Audron currently group. And, well, things could get crazy...

So Jess has gotten Anika off her high horse and convinced her to go after Naleena. Suddenly the story of how she lost her captain is in full effect in replay.
Deidrus has issued the goal to acquire the armour.
And the ship is on edge. The mission is clear. But people don't want to go ahead with it except for a few.
And the Medusa's not going to be there for a certain captain and her bodyguard when they decide to go back home taking a few important people with with them.
Leaving everyone on the Audron.
