The Council is paying for rooms on the 10th floor. Your room is on the 14th floor. That means you're paying for your own.

In case you haven't guessed, I just posted the mission.

 

Priority Illium (short)

 

Naleena receives an anonymous message to contact an information broker in the Nos Astros Spaceport office building. The information broker is Liara T’soni. Naleena’s initial recruitment had an, ahem, execution of an STG agent which, while everything else was pardoned in Council Space, this is the Terminus. Someone, and we don’t know exactly who within the Salarian government has instigated the NAPD to reopen the case.  Androkan reported everything was self-defense save the one with the brains splattered on the building façade. Hence that was considered a murder. This has now come back to bite Naleena.

 

This is also in Spectre Supervisor Yalson Sao’s file and he is looking into it as well. Sao is also STG. Sao is also Naleena’s boss (as well as Tela Vasir’s). He handles the administrative matters such as Naleena’s pay, vacation, sick days, benefits, performance reviews, grievances, and all that bullsh*t. You thought Spectres got away scot-free? 

 

Some of you will say – “Spectres report directly to the Council.” This was changed with the Cerberus Daily News entries way back. Tela Vasir reports to Yalson Sao. It is canon. Mac Walters changed it before Lair of the Shadow Broker came out.

 

The mission has two parts:

 

1. Break into the NAPD evidence room and remove all of the evidence pertaining to Naleena T’sarius aka Shiara Danri. Delete all files of this from the local server and any stored on backup servers. Try not to get caught.
2. Break into Yalson Sao’s office and remove all evidence from his office, hack and delete all files of this case from his computer, and any stored on backup servers. If caught there are two courses of action:

1. Convince Sao that this mess is due to negligence on the part of Spectre Androkan, currently serving a suspension (this will damage Androkan’s credibility). And convince Sao to support your mission (optional). If successful on the latter, new resources can become available later. Convincing Sao of the importance of your mission can be essential to having him overlook the entire mess.
2. If unable to convince Sao, it may be necessary to kill him and make it look like an accident.

Note that there is no "Paragon" resolution to the situation. Androkan gets thrown under the bus, or we kill Sao. We break into the police station and destroy evidence. Everyone on this team has a criminal past. Everyone, including your boss. We're doing what we do best.

Are we splitting up for these missions? Like, half for part one and half for part two? If so dibs on #2. Torture is one effective method of persuasion and it's my character's forte.

It's probably a good idea, though at this point I have one character and I refuse to split him in half.

This is cloak and dagger stuff.

 

If we split, this puts Naleena going to Yalson Sao.

 

The Police Station. We'll go over the logistics, but the layout is this. We'll need a stealth Team Blue - 1 tech and 1 other stealth combat to crawl through vents quietly to get into the server room. Killing is a very last resort. Choke holds to subdue and render unconscious okay. There is an access on the 10th floor exterior. - ouch - driver needed.

 

Physical evidence is in the basement. Team Gold will have to sneak in and go downstairs and steal any physical evidence from the evidence room - 1 tech and 1 other stealth combat. Again the same ROE apply.

 

Team Red is Jess and Irina and possibly Anika. They'll be the distraction team. They're going walk in and report a stolen vehicle, and get into a fight. Irina will accuse Jess' brother or vice versa. Then possibly the two of them will accuse Anika's brother and start calling her names and stuff. They're will be pushing and shoving, etc.

 

Sao's Office:

 

Naleena, Frank, two more characters, and Morgan.

 

If we run out of people we may have to bring along one ,.. well Eteon can pilot the car.

 

Anyway, that's what I'm thinking, but you know this isn't going to be simple, right?

With all the hackers and infiltrators, Morgan is more on the um, dealing with people and soldier side?  He can basically keep guard, drive, he can generally be quiet....in his white jacket and electric blue shirt (wait this is Illium, he's fitting right in!) Anyway, sorry.  There's always a plethora of ninjas and spies in these rpg's.  And then a handful of us grunt types.  Everybody wants to, you know either carry samurai swords and 'be the night, do all the sexy hacking stuff, or at least fire the Big Rocket Launcher/Punch FACES.  So, Morgan, was like, you know, I'll be a regular guy?  Which tranlates to 'YOU SUCK' in rpg terms

Nah, I'm just really saying he's not a hacker, but if you want to slap a hacking tool on him, he can, you know, turn it on.  And he's not overtly quiet, though he can climb stuff and carve a circle out of glass...with one of those fancy glass cutters.

 

Driving then.  I got it.

Will the mission be starting soon, or do I have some time for my next Frank bit?  I got the next few posts planned out already, mostly Frank picking up some equipment.

Needless amount of people for the sake of a distraction, and that'd hardly draw enough attention... I've got a much more effective plan in store in terms of distractions

I'm sure a car bomb two blocks away would do the trick, but there might be collateral damage. We'll probably need something like that, too. Just make sure no one is around.

Essul is one of the few guys with a tactical cloak, so he'll be on one of the stealth teams.

Kel, there are few problems in life that cannot be solved with large explosions.

 

Vacant lot ... two blocks from the station...

 

 

And a jail break? Do we really want to let more criminals out on the streets? I mean we're bad enough.

It isn't as dramatic as you presumed. I'll be gone all day tomorrow so scratch the distraction. I'll just take a stealth team slot since my character has a tac' cloak.
