Whelp, Jess's personel mission is about to hit. I hope no one was particularly fond of that hotel.

I'm not, but I won't be around to see it.
Uni starts today, which means Tues and Thurs I'm not going to be around. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. But it's school, and kinda important ![]()

Jaimie's writer isn't going to be around to write for the predictable future. I found out with the power of asking. I'll miss Jaimie and the inevitable conflict with the Janiri's counselor!
The hotel, I had thought, wasn't a place we were going back to with the idea of staying at the safehouse. That, at least, is why Morgan and the commandos are there. It seems that a few people have gone back, including Vayne, though. Personally, I have no attachment to the hotel. Goodbye hotel. And, be on the lookout for skycars rigged by Jenus parked near support pillars....
Basically, I am still in waiting mode for writing. If I can think of something the characters would do, they'll do it. Morgan's not going drinking, because basically he's laying low. The commandos are not going to get themselves into any more situations unless ordered to. Basically, if anything, I would write bad guy stuff because, as RB pointed out, Iyana is not idle.
Edit: Just to align on choreography, it is daytime after the operation. It seems some people (Vayne, Jess, Anika) are at the hotel, some (Frank, Eteon, Essul) are at a bar, some (Naleena, Avan) are at the Janiri, and some (Morgan, Valkara, the commandos) are at the safehouse. I believe the Scythe shuttle for the operation is at the safehouse, likely on a roof landing pad (not entirely out of place in Nos Astra). Anybody else who is around has skycars or taxis available.
As the story changes, I'll try to update setting, so we can all write around it, if it helps.

Jess and Anika will be coming to the safe house later on. They just went to collect the rest of their things...... Jess and Anika are probably going to need a safe house. Not that the law knows it's them their looking for as Jess keeps dropping the name Luscious..... Nigh!

Going to finish off tomorrow. Bed is calling.
@kel, Did I ever settle on a name for Tarball's ship? Or did I imagine that....been building so many roll20 tokens and character's lately it's getting a little blurry where I am with everything.

Yes, you did. The Nostalgia.
And speaking of things which might have gone unnoticed while you were d20 rolling, there is the start of an interaction in your PM box.
Or maybe with what you are doing you are purposely waiting?
Blurred vision I can't correct. You may have to see a doctor about that ![]()

I saw the Pm.... I'm trying to figure out the flavour of how I want to tackle it while giving Jess and Anika their something to do. It got a little sidetracked to the point where non of what's happening with the toys and the guy in the conference area took place in under an hour. Oh well. I'll go back and edit one day

Jess, Anika and Irina could go anywhere they wanted since they weren't really "involved" in the caper. That's why I had them go back to the hotel. The safe house was a way point where we could meet up without being under Illium surveillance. From there people could go back to the hotel. '
But I know you guys like the dark gritty parts of town. So that's that.
Dahlia is out clubbing.
Irina is out somewhere.

You can always just BS some medical technology, like I did for Frank and his ribs lol.

Tallis got a spear hook shot through her leg and was up in a day with a cast on. But her femur wasn't broken.
Basically, if you want to go lore, there isn't much that can keep a person down for any length of time that matters. Medical tech in the MEU far surpasses anything we have these days. That, of course, leads to a problem called lack of drama for injury and I am really not kidding. There are concussions, maybe, and we know that at a certain point, medigel can't heal you, but that is all in game mechanics. Never during the story are you slowed down by casts, by pills or by surgery. We see certain squadmates so badly injured it takes time to recover, though, like Ashley/Kaiden in Huerta. Its a free for all. You have medigel which heals everything back to normal, and yet there are hospitals people end up staying in. Huh?
Do what you want. Presumably there are injuries so severe that you need crutches. Maybe it has more to do with the particulars of the bullet wound than simple broken bones and punctured flesh. Maybe your entire aorta was vaporized, yet medical tech replaced it instantly, but you have to walk around on crutches while it takes to make sure there is no rejection (this last sentence made no sense on purpose TM ) Drama dictates injury. Just give some advanced medical reason. But as low tech as some injuries are, there's a lot of medical woo-woo magic around to heal. We assume Avan was hurt real badz, and he'd probably be 3 months in patient rehab at a medical facility in the modern world if he was saved...yet only on crutches for a week in MEU or somethin...

Here's how we handled it in this MEU rewrite: with the advent of Medi-gel, one can stop bleeding almost immediately. It also genetically alters surrounding tissue to speed healing of the area. The substance violates Council Laws on Genetic Modification, but it was too useful so the Council gave it a waiver.
Broken bones can be healed in a week due to medical improvements. If your limb was cut amputated, or if your injury was so severe (i.e. the bone was pulverized) that the limb had to be amputated, a new limb can be grown from your own tissue and attached. That process takes a month.
From what I've read about Avan's injury, he'll be down for three days, and up and around for limited duty for another week, then back to full duty (10 days total). It's not like Kaidan in ME3.
My guess is that they even have a cure for cancer. They can prevent heart disease in utero.

I'm starting to think crutches doesn't make sense. Like, wouldn't that just make you move your shoulder more? So I might just edit it to where he has to be in bed for 3 days like you said. Will be keeping close to the timeline.

Yeah, Avan can watch some movies. I'm sure VERA has access to the extranet and can get a few movies for him. Oh he doesn't know VERA is online. Quelle surprise!
BTW I have full control over her as an NPC outside of normal conversation. She's like EDI except more of a smart ass. Voice of Lauren Bacall, and her hologram looks like her too... don't ask... Naleena has a fascination with 20th Century Earth. So I think you can have a little conversation with our ship if you want. She won't give out any classified information, but you can try.

Sorry for the lack of writing. Am working on something now and hopefully soon we can all kick this back into gear. I think we're just relaxing from post Illium Ocean's Eleven-esque stress.
