Heheh... Ah...

Jenus had been stuck with the last thirteen minute shift keeping Frank stasis'd. She was getting a bit bored with nothing to do other than keep the man mid-moutful. Honestly it was making her a tad hungry. The hunger lead to irritability, and from that loud ranting to herself about why she wasn't allowed to raid the Medusa.

Eteon wandered in, similarly bored because she had been left behind. Something about 'killing people with books was just to cruel in the end'.

Long story short, they never let Eteon try Asari biotics again since when Frank came to he was three floors down, and hadn't taken the lift.

We've got some setup to do. Talk about where the Medusa is. How we're going to get onboard. Tell the group and see what they say. We've got time

I'm debating whether or not I should have Frank go on this next job.

"Eli, we're boarding the Medusa. It's full of highly trained killers, and we need someone to lead the way.  I know you're just a tech with no combat experience, but I feel you're the best man for the job."

"Uh... taking point?

 hilarious clip!

Nobody is expecting Frank to do mainline fighting.  On the other hand, engineers are needed.

Eteon can help get Frank around safely if things need to be done quickly. She'll need to know the layout of the ship to make sure she doesn't space him by accident though.

We just do not want Frank and Tallis getting near each other. It's a perfect storm of accident.

Hey, two negatives make a positive, right?

Depends.

(-N) + (-N) = -2N

If N=/= 0, N is a positive integer. So actually, it could be doubly negative. La plus mauvais. Quelque-temps, vous ne voulez pas essayer.

I have something awaiting Julia's review before posting.

@RedBelle, after your initial layout of stuff for Naleena...or whatever info you are passing to her, I want to work with you again on that other stuff happening with Iyana's crewmember behind the scenes by PM.

I was going to post but it may have to wait until tomorrow.  All that was going to go up was a bit about Iyana.  Until Jess and Naleena open up their conference room chat to full on prep.  Then I've definitely got stuff.

RB, also sorry, I can work on the scene with Lord Tarballs.  Kick it off though, if you would?

Will be writing something soon. I'm in a bit of writer's block and will just have to force through it.

VERA managed to get herself hired as Comptroller of Eldfell-Ashland Energy using one of Naleena's old aliases. Accessing the database of Dantius College immediately upon her installation to give herself a legitimate business degree didn't hurt her cause any. Soon she began embezzling funds, doing speculative insider trading, and once she had turned a significant profit, replacing the embezzled funds before the were missed with some creative accounting work. The Janiri would soon be getting some upgrades. These would be discussed among the team, although a few would go into the AI core as a matter of principle.

Jess would be getting a large box of dark chocolate.

In the past, the Turian unit continues to investigate the Collectors on Horizon.

Note on the Mass Relays: regardless of how Drew K tried to explain them, they make no sense whatsoever except as large jump gates. It was too cumbersome otherwise. They are not directional since a single gate can be multi-directional which if they were directional would require that the relay rotate and realign with the relay on the receiving end. This would take time since the rotation could not be instantaneous due to physics. The relays would have to have thrusters on them to make said rotation, and a relay transit could take days.

"We have them. A Collector ship has been sighted near Horizon. If you hurry Shepard, you can intercept it."

"Okay, Illusive Man. I'll be there in a few days when the relay aligns itself with that system. We're 15th in the queue leaving this system. By that time, I suspect the colony will be vacant."

"S***!"

So for the purposes of the story they function as jump gates, and that's the way the did.

The rotational speed of a Relay isn't actually that big a problem. The end point of the relay needs to travel 94 kilometers circular, to make a full rotation in an hour is thus only 94 km/h. Or 188 km/h in half an hour. In space that isn't that fast, and magic relay composite may very well be able to handle the different acceleration forces. It would still take time, and there would be designated periods during which someone could expect to be able to reach certain clusters, but it may very well work.

For TIM's purposes it's bull, but then again most of Shepard's activities seem to ignore what's going on in the 'real world'.

The weirdness is that I believe someone referenced several mass effect flays bei g in a system with multiple exit routes. It would solve the realignment option, and possibly the long lineups. Dunno

My thought was that it was like a ferry. You can't always go where you want, but during set times you can go to cluster x or y. Council ships under a Dux or Praetor might be able to override such schedules but otherwise it'd work.

Kel, if that's the case, the writers themselves realized how cumbersome the directional problems were, and retconned them into defacto jump gates.

Lore in the MEU is a zany free-for-all. So for all practical purposes, the Mass Relays function as jump gates. We should on the main system relays, and on the relays where there is a major world, have Relay Traffic Controllers. You wait your turn to go through the relay like using a runway at an airport. Otherwise there could be collisions in busy systems.

Let's have a Relay Traffic Controllers Union.

ME1 makes more sense for that reason.  I don't know where it got retconned but clearly ME cannons don't look like jump gates even if they were retconned to act like them.  Anyway, this is on a list of like 100 things at least that don't make sense, even with black box approach.  I would just have them function however we see fit for the story.  And for me, I try not to think of the problems I don't have to and stick to the ones I do. :)

Sorry, I forgot to add two sentences and held up the works today. It was 84 degrees and one of our last nice sunny days. I went outside for the afternoon. Someone could have written them for me. I would not have been upset. So I now have a two sentence post calling the troops together.
