No . A melee Juggy makes the best decoy/boss magnet .
Is anyone else as enraged by meleeing Juggys as I am?

People can play what they want, cos' they can be cretins regardless of character & playstyle they use. So if you play as a melee Juggy and we have a wave 10 hack objective on Glacier (in the basement) , then FFS do some Banshee CC instead of bleeding out on the balcony.

No, go ahead and melee all the things. Perfect decoy. If they want to use gun and sp I'm fine with that too.

I'm enraged by the missile-glitching juggernaut I saw a couple days ago.

You seem upset.
I puggernaut, so I don't mind them. If I see a puggernaut in my lobby I feel it's an excuse for me to use vorcha sentinel with flamer and reegar. If you're gonna ****** off the BSN might as well go all out.
Agreed. Had a puggernaut on Plat - I put on my geth trooper pants and pulled out good old flamey. I followed Juggy everywhere - he held them up, and I put them down. It was awesome - I racked up the top score with minimal risk. I'd fight with one every other day.

Don't know why you would take a great kit for either a weapon platform build or a tech explosion expert and use it as a "stand in the middle of map . raise arm indefinitely", but hey, to each their own.
@DeadEYeCy - Hmmm, tell us how you really feel! A couple weeks ago I landed in a GIP with you while I was using a Juggy (of course, I play mine as a weapon platform with a Typhoon and using AM III .. hopefully that meets your approval) lol

I mean don't get me wrong, I like HMing a Phantom as much as anyone else, but I like to get shots off in between and speed up the process. What angers me is the dude who sits there forever HMing, letting teamates bleed out at their feet, and looks around clueless while everyone else has already escorted the drone home. And this happenes so often it really gets my goat now.

It's not the heavy melee'ing that bothers me about puggernauts.
It's that without the Geth Juggernaut, they couldn't survive on Platinum.
Heavy melee, Siege Pulse, hell I even saw one get a Hex Shield kill the other day and laughed my ass off.
Aside from the GJ Platinum pass that a lot of very new, inexperienced players seem to get early in their play time (like the first 10 hours), I have no issues with the kit or how it's played.

This. As long as they do not die it is fine with me.

just replace roaches with the word leeches and this explains my PUG experience in the past 3 months, many of which are melee juggernauts. lulz

Admittedly I'm not the best with my juggy (I'm a tech explosion type with him it's just the slow no dodge no cover thing messes with me). But on the rare occasion I do bust him out, I regularly get Hex Shield kills because I use to to reload cancel and have it specced for its extra damage evolutions. I'm forever killing trash mobs with the thing while I'm trying to grab one for some quick shield restore.

My last plat match was as a juggernaut. It failed...
I'd argue that it wasn't my fault... Even having to melee quite a bit to hold the silly boss spam back I still outscored the others on my team, which among others, if I remember correctly consisted of a javelin GI. Thats just embarrassing.
Whats the point of taking enemy fire if it's pretty much the only "fire" going on. -..-

"It's all melee," he says.
Reply "yep... we all want our matches to take an extra 15 minutes because instead of using my gun to actually kill something Im waiting on my team to do it for me before I get over run and downed. absolutely! all melee..... hey, while we're exhanging absurd ideas, never put points into biotic charge on vangaurds either and always skip cluster grenades on any kit that has them." ![]()

I find the Juggernaught's heavy melee very useful on Platinum. It keeps all the larger enemies at bay while the other team members just fire the same target's to take them down faster.

Sure, but if your not firing a claymore or a reegar or -something- inbetween dem heavys to help kill something... ?!?

This only really works if the rest of the team actually focuses on the swarm around the Juggy. More often than not, I see people abandon the poor giant robot (whether he plays melee only or not) to the mob. Even a gun wielding, tech bursting Juggy will have problems under those circumstances sometimes. I like to stick by them when I can in case they have the squad damage increase evo.

If they are good at least I know its a guaranteed 150K.....but not everyone has warp ammo 4 or all the cool new gadgets and best guns so in order to win at platinum they employ a character that gives them a fighting chance. Don't have an issue with them, I'll even run one from time to time.

Piranha w/ HVB Shredder AP rounds works wonders too; takes out 3/4 of banshee armor on plat. half the matches I use my jugg as banshee bait and end up scoring 2nd or a close 3rd
