Surely one of your jobs as Inquisitor would require you to ensure that the Inquisition is properly supplied and funded, the Qunari are known to have made many advances in the fields of medicine and technology which would make them a great nation to establish trade with however I am at a loss as to what we could possibly trade to the Qunari and how we could convince them to settle a deal, if only there was something that the Qunari (more importantly their Arishok) really like but I cant think of anything, can you?

Of course they will, I am the god damn protagonist, all I need is the proper leverage, but what? Do you know Hanako?

Well, I'm sure they'd be willing to let you have some if you join the Qun. Other than that  though, not a clue. They are very tight-lipped about their technological advancements, such as hunting down anyone who gets even close to mimicking it. I suppose maybe they'll agree to be trade partners and supply you with non-secret stuff if you help them seal a Veil Tear, but I don' think we're going that far north since Tevinter we know is not a location we are visiting, and that's between Orlais and Par Vollen.

But as you said, there will probably be an exception because the game demands it. Even as simple as the Qunari thinking the Qun demands it.

I have high doubts that after the Kirkwall Incident and Prosper Incident that people are going to be believing that Qunari can be trusted.

Plus there is the matter of it wouldn't be that hard for trade ships to get caught in the cross fire between the Imperium Navy and Qunari Dreadnaught Fleets.  Also if they couldn't protect one of the Qunari's most valuable artifacts from a pirate what hope would ships filled with qunari goods have.

The qunari don't see the bas as having anything of value. The qunari trade with the bas only as an educational exercise, to learn more about our ways so that we will be more easily conquered one day.

One would think Sten would have grabbed a cookie cook book before heading home and I doubt the lack of cookies is caused by a lack of access to cookie baking materials, but rather the fact that cookies are somewhat wasteful type of food due to their less than nutricious nature.

The qunari must trade somethings. Spyglasses for example; they were a qunari invention, but in DA:A you find one for Sigrun.

The secret of how to make Grey Wardens might be of value to them, though it would annoy the wardens.

I doubt that Qunari society is well set up to produce the best sort of cookies.  It requires a truly decadent society to produce great cookies.  The illicit delights of double and even triple chocolate, or the sensuous thrills of raspberry and white chocolate would surely cause the collapse of Qunari society if allowed to spread too widely.

One of your roles as Inquisitor is to track down the ancient cookie recipes of Dwarven society, lost for centuries in the Deep Roads. Cookies so delightful that humble casteless Pau Ladeen was raised to Paragon status in what was a scandal of its time. Of course the secret is nug butter. Lots and lots of nug butter.

These pastries you see are the entire purpose that the Qun was created. All Qunari advancements were attempts to replicate the recipes. And once you have it, the Qunari will trade you any and everything for it. Afterwards their society crumbles like the flat, disk-shaped pastries they coveted.

Heathen oxmen don't share :/

Probably for the best, Thedas can match them in most regards anyway.

LOL, The Qunari have proben to be shysters of the highest order.  You would send them 10,000 cookies and they would send you 200 pounds of Gatcock.....what?  Gatcock is buffalo dung?  They would screw you on any technicality they could find.  Totally untrustworthy.

True. Also all the Qunari cares about is their eternal war with Tevinter. Securing Seheron as a buffer zone is enough for now...until their Arishok gets bored again.

In the grand scheme of things 300 years is hardly an eternal war, and its mostly since the White Divine chickened out because they thought the Qunari could be trusted, yet the qunari keep saying their only waiting for the right moment.

I don't think they'll give the humans/elves/dwarves anything they haven't already figured out how to make. So that means no blasting powder.

Trade? **** that noise.

I'll steal from the Qunari and use their own technology to blast their fascist asses back where they came from.

Qunari: Very well, we will give you some cannons
Inquisitor: Alright great =D, What do you desire in return?
Qunari: We Want EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, I doubt the Qunari would be willing to give up any technology that will make conquering Thedas in the future more difficult for them, so no weapons or anything that will help the millitary

Trading with "religious" qunari is something that will always leave you in a disadvantage.

They don't need your money, they only need to further the goals of their "certainty".

We saw this very clearly in DA2.

I doubt that they would relinquish anything truly valuable even if there was a famine in their land and they needed food.

After all, what is a little death and suffering when compared to the glory of the qun?

In a famine they might have to as letting the people starve is a good way to make everyone who isn't drugged into compliance start to question the certainty of the qun.
