You know, I generally am not a character loyalist on these bioware games. I tend to just enjoy what they have to offer. However, Blackwall seems like a really cool character to me.

At this point I'm glad he has hair. And I think it's the longest hair so far.
Blackwall in helmet, Leliana in hood, Vivienne in hat, Solas and Bull are bald, Cole and Sera's hair look horrible... I see a pattern here ![]()

I like Sera's hair.
The hairstyle or textures? Because the former is a matter of personal preference and it gives her some character, but the latter...

It just seems the engine doesn't handle hair well. May be it will improve before release.

Both. The textures look like they still need some polish, but I though that they look much better in the trailer than they do in the still shots.

Well, it's not the end of the world of course, but comparing to realistic faces hair looks cartoonish. We'll see what it will be eventually.

Confession, this made me laugh
Yeah, what's with the lack of hair?? I finally might get a qunari LI and the guy's bald and half-blind. I know nobody loves a qunari for his face, but that's a bit much!
I like Sera's hair.
Me, too!!!

I noticed in the Stand Together trailer Blackwall seems to be fighting someone who looks similar to the Ferelden Ash Warriors in Heroes of Dragon age

I was reading through our beloved Blackwall on DragonAge.com and found a couple of interesting things.
Surprised not many have mentioned it. I guess the beard and muscle are awesome distractions. ![]()
Blackwall is someone who views the Grey Wardens in an idealistic manner. Looking at his character page and character author interview, that is obvious.
However, what if over the course of the game, we discover dirty secrets about the Wardens. Secrets that perhaps might not sound nice or pleasant to Blackwall ? How will he deal with things when we learn more about Wardens ? I am pretty sure we will have some idealisms being shattered along the way. How does someone who is pro-Warden, who sees Wardens as a necessary force deal with that ?
How will someone like Blackwall view the Architect, Corypheus and to some extent, Wardens like Avernus and Janeka ?
Does his sense of responsibility and duty will triumph over his idealism ?
To be clear, I do not hate the Wardens. However, it has been clearly hinted that the Inquisition will have to fight the Wardens at some point.
I am just wondering how a Grey Warden companion who views the Grey Warden Order in an idealistic fashion will react to the Inquisition attacking the Wardens ?

Varric's 41, Cass is around that age I think, IB's age is hard to tell because Qunari are a bit weird, Viv seems like she'd also be around Varric or Cass's age given how long it probably takes to earn a title like hers, Sera and Cole are definitely out.
I think IB or Varric would be your best option for the old fogies brigade. Cass might also work, unless it turns out she's younger than Varric. Viv seems to separated from society to really relate to the "young people these days" type banter.

Since Solas is confirmed to be in his forties. Your options can be Varric, Solas, Blackwall, Cassandra, and Ironbull.
