Well, the 'big issues' that form the backdrop of the story still need to be elucidated upon for new players. Someone will probably be "anti-mage", or at least "anti-rebellion".
My money's on Vivienne for that one.

If anyone is anti-mage I think it would probably be the Iron Bull, because from his blurb from the survey it seems that he might have been a part of the Qun.
And we all know how much the Qunari appreciate magic
Except he's Tal-Vashoth now. In the time since he has left the Qun, it's entirely possible his views have done a complete 180.

Yeah that's possible, I'm just saying that I think he is more likely to be anti-mage than the warden.

I thought he is only a Vashoth like the Qunari PC.

I'm pretty sure he's Tal.
OXM described him as "a one-eyed mercenary and outcast from the Qunari faith"

An outcast does not necessarily means tal-vashoth
Maraas from DA II is also an outcast from the Qun and originally he was Tal, but the last you see him (I think Act 3 in hanged man) he too is a mercenary but he is not Tal-Vashoth.
Commander Feathers is surely going to be one of the most interesting characters. Its a perspective we have yet to see. A Warden with enough knowledge of the organization to have distain for them.
Didn't we get that with Anders?
Hahaha.
"NO, YOUR LI IS GOING TO BE THE DOUCHE!"
Hahaha.
"NO, YOUR LI IS GOING TO BE THE DOUCHE!"
I'd thought Eluvianix's LI was going to be Solas, but apparently I was wrong?
Eluvianix! Don't do it!
He's no good for you!
Didn't we get that with Anders?
Anders's actual experience with them was pretty short, though. He had reason to dislike them, but he didn't know much at all about the higher ups in the organization or their primary goals. I get the impression that's what we might get with this warden and we've never really seen that before.
I'd thought Eluvianix's LI was going to be Solas, but apparently I was wrong?
Oh God no. I'm gunning for Grey Warden or Iron Bull. Solas wasn't even on my list maybes. Grey Warden's my top choice though, hence my fervent, fervent hope that he isn't anti mage.

Why not Solas, out of curiosity?
My other reason for saying that before is that all of our anti-mage companions so far (Sten, Fenris, Aveline to an extent) have been warriors.
"ya know what I likes about mages?"
*evil grin*

I dunno, I thought he liked beefy guys.
I was just making a general joke about how people get incensed at the notion of characters they like at first glance turning out to be jerks. It wasn't aimed at him specifically.
Really, I sympathise. I'm not interested in any of the characters announced for Inquisition so far, but when DA2's were first shown, I was sure I'd like Fenris best, because his backstory sounded the most interesting.
In the end, his endless sulking and putrid opinions drove me straight into the arms of Anders, who may be super srs about the mage cause (as am I), but at least managed to crack a joke occasionally.

he doesnt count in my opinion, due to the fact that he was only with the wardens for about 6 months.... plus i just hate him in da2 and like to shoot everything about him down
No offense to anyone, but I would be kind of surprised if warden was an LI. I think he might serve basically the same purpose as Wynne did, as an aging companion who is kind of on their last leg and has some skeletons in the closet to work through before they let go.

What do you look for in a love interest?
For a long time, I thought I'd have to settle for Isabela, but then Merrill turned out to be bisexual and I found someone even better than Anders.

Exactly how I feel.
I'm not fascinated or intrigued by them as is. We need more details, we need more videos. More anything. This speculation could be entirely off base. He can be Duncan, he can be Loghain, he can be that sweet old gal in the Black Pearl. We do not know.
Feed me moar.

It's just that I'm not that physically attracted to Solas, in comparison to the other two. Granted, I wasn't that attracted to Fenris either, but I loved his romance with a mage character. So depending on who is an LI, as well as backstory, I could easily find myself with Solas, and become totally enamored with him.

You know, if this guy actually acts who i expect him to, i might find myself somewhat smitten...
._. I like the aged veteran vibe.

What do you look for in a love interest?
Like, in characters or real life?
As far as physical attraction goes, I don't think I have a particular "type" of man, fictional or otherwise, but I don't typically go for (what I perceive as) "extremes". Solas' complete lack of hair creeps me out, and Warden Burly McBarrelchest is the complete opposite end of that spectrum. It's like picking between a literal cue ball or the cookie monster. Meanwhile, Iron Bull is kinda grossly over-muscular. I feel like he'd break my spine if he so much as hugged me. Also, he's a gray-skinned ox-monster, so there's that. I also don't often like guys who are much shorter than me, so any dwarves are out.
That said, I'm willing to overlook a lot for the sake of personality. Guys who are compassionate, but also have a good sense of humour will win me over every time. Alistair and Anders are characters I perceive as fitting broadly into that category. Anders in particular won me over when I initially thought I would find him unattractive.

Yeah, they were apparently pretty serious about that whole "not traditionally attractive LIs" thing lol

Cass is traditionally attractive.
Just a bit older then the normal LI.
Not an issue for me though.
