after thinking about it, i really dont think blackwall is as old as we think he is.....

I'm guessing late 40s to early 50s. So not too old, no.

Dude looks more weathered than old.

I know Blackwall has that 'Daddy' appeal for some (oh who am I kidding, most)...but that's just super hyper mega cruel even for tear-drinkers like BW XD;;

Considering Inquisitor's age is at 20-40 range, no.

It would be interesting, assuming you're playing a human, if the Inquisitor fought in the Fifth Blight.  That could make for some interesting discussions with Blackwall.

Gray in someone hair isn't an indication of age. My sister was totally gray at 31. I have a friend who was like that at 24.

Though people who flatly excludes him from possible LI status due to his Grey Warden-ness (didn't and doesn't stop anyone from courting Alistair & Anders in all their tragic baggage glory) and age (my 30+ self takes a little umbrage with that) makes Baby Andraste side-eye quite hard...

 

For real.  I've always hated the mindset that romance is for young'uns only.

Yep.  He's going to be a LI as far as I'm concerned.  It may have to be solely on the inquisitor's part.  In other words quite a realistic portrayal of the way it usually works out.

Nope...but he was still the only companion I wanted in ME2. Sometimes, it's more about the character bringing something different to the table than looks. I know that Awakening Anders was 100x more popular than Nathaniel, and I am forever bitter. I think Blackwall would be my preferred romance out of this lineup. He just has has that "special something". Keeping my fingers crossed that we get to climb the Wall!
