Cass is attractive but I wouldn't call her "traditionally" attractive.

Vivienne probably fits that criteria most out of all the companions.

Grey Warden looks traditionally attractive, just older.

Like, in characters or real life?

As far as physical attraction goes, I don't think I have a particular "type" of man, fictional or otherwise, but I don't typically go for (what I perceive as) "extremes". Solas' complete lack of hair creeps me out, and Warden Burly McBarrelchest is the complete opposite end of that spectrum. It's like picking between a literal cue ball or the cookie monster. Meanwhile, Iron Bull is kinda grossly over-muscular. I feel like he'd break my spine if he so much as hugged me. Also, he's a gray-skinned ox-monster, so there's that. I also don't often like guys who are much shorter than me, so any dwarves are out.

That said, I'm willing to overlook a lot for the sake of personality. Guys who are compassionate, but also have a good sense of humour will win me over every time. Alistair and Anders are characters I perceive as fitting broadly into that category. Anders in particular won me over when I initially thought I would find him unattractive.

The four male characters do seem to go to certain physical extremes, don't they? If he exists in-game, Mustachio would be a likely balance, I suspect.

Why?

Why?

She has that intense look to her that's powerful and sharp and fierce but not what I'd call "traditionally attractive", though that term is subjective and silly anyways.

She's a pretty boy with scars.

Go back to harping on Vivi being bald or something.

Eh I don't get the "she looks manly" thing. To me she has sharp features that really stand out, kind of like some models do.

It is, but "traditionally attractive" basically refers to Alistair, Morrigan, etc. folks like that.

Alistair: Young, fairly masculine but boyish, short hair, beardless, bright-eyed, a bit muscley, could be an underwear model lol

Morrigan: Young, big boobs, full lips, pretty hair piled on top of her head, revealing outfit

Well "manly" is just a way to insult a woman, so I'd not respond to such a comment...

She has a wider jaw than you see in most women, especially in women who show up in magazines and such. Do I consider her pretty, absolutely!

Cassandra doesn't look that non-traditional, to me. She's a little on the tomboy side, but I think the media is pretty beyond girls not being allowed to be tough at all. Tons of action and fantasy movies have the tough chick in them now as a major character and a love interest, if not protagonist. She's still pretty in the face and she's got a slight build. She's not overly muscular, or anything. She's not substantially larger or older than any other female, really. I don't see her as being out of the norm range. She's definitely not approaching the level of "non-traditional" we see from Iron Bull or the warden, imo.

I don't think the warden is all that non-traditionally attractive either. He just has a big beard, which was a pretty common thing for men his age once upon a time. He looks pretty handsome and normal, though on the bigger side I guess.

Well, I don't think you'd have to look that far to find a "tough" female character that happened to have short hair as a protagonist or love interest in a major blockbuster movie, but I don't really see many older guys with big beards in those roles. So, to me, it seems like, for mainstream audiences, Cassandra is a lot more traditional.

Yes. Bigger is better.

He is attractive as mature man not like boy. And this why I intrested in him.

True. I also think I'm separating "non-traditionally attractive" from "non-traditional video game LI". The warden would certainly fall into the latter category.

I can understand such a perspective. But everything about her that I've seen from Inquisition lends credence to my opinion.

The picture that some people tout around where she's sporting' a beard does not seem to be that far off.

I would not mind being surprised though, in terms of her personality.
