No offense to anyone, but I would be kind of surprised if warden was an LI. I think he might serve basically the same purpose as Wynne did, as an aging companion who is kind of on their last leg and has some skeletons in the closet to work through before they let go.

I always pictured him as a mentor, father-figure with a hint of Duncan in the Grey Warden over an LI

I hope this Grey Waden is high up in the ranks & @Mort, I'm not offended, in fact I think you're probably right. It's unfortunate because I think he'd make a fantastic LI but.. I am not in control of that.

Maybe a Warden Commander in Orlais or the Anderfels? We might be picking up Viv in Montsimmard, her Circle, which is also the home of the Orlesian Grey Wardens.

I hope he's been with the wardens for a long time and has more information about what they get up to back at HQ than the ones we've seen so far. I really hope this warden has a lot of insight into the faction and what their goals are beside the obvious "stop blights when they happen". I also hope he can tell us more about the intelligent darkspawn, since Nathaniel implied they had communication with each other.

For some reason, I don't see him as Chamberlain of the Grey. If any higher, I'd think he would be High Constable.

I'm kind of concerned about his beard. It looks fantabulous in concept art, but during the pre-alpha demo it looked... less than fantabulous. But, pre-alpha, I know.

Looks a bit overly fluffy in that blurry screenshot, and therefore mountain-man trashy. Even though Skyrim doesn't really contain any characters, it contained a wonderful assortment of sleek, silky beards for the action-oriented adventurer.
