Why does Blackwall get no love?

 

Why is there little more than scraps and dust when it comes to info on him compared to pretty much every other companion?

 

Virtually no screen time, less screen shots than everyone else, less general info, unknown VA, and no sample of his voice.

Because he is so awesome that any info on him would spoil the whole game.

So I guess Blackwall is not in Team Fashion with Leliana, Vivienne and probably Dorian and Josephine. I wonder if your companions and advisors are going to argue about Keep decoration .

Objectively, we still don't know that much about Josephine (other than that she's a LI), and Vivienne either.

 

 

I would hope we'd know more about a companion than an advisor.  

 

Vivienne at least has had lots of screen time and we know what she sounds like. She's had the only follower Friday, a character kit, and she's one of the main 3 along with Cass and Varric who were everywhere when the marketing started.

It's sarcasm. He's a Warden who wasn't conscripted. Liking danger is a job requirement.

I personally don't think that advisors are any less important than companions.

 

You're right about the second point, though. I had forgotten about Vivienne's character kit.

It's kind of sad how little attention Blackwall is getting. I think we have a less clear picture of what he's like and how he fits in with the group than anyone else. I think we actually understand Vivienne pretty well. We know what sort of interests she has, how we meet her in the story, how she gets along with several other companions. We understand her personality and how she fits into the group pretty well, I would say. I don't know what else they could tell us about her that wouldn't just be spoilery. 

 

With Blackwall, honestly I think he's the least likely to be a love interest. It's not that I don't want him to be, really. I would romance him if he was one. Based on what we know, I think it's probably going to be Solas and Vivienne. Still, though, that's no reason to leave him totally unexplored in the marketing. I'm hoping they're going to be focusing on Iron Bull and Sera less soon and moving on to Solas/Blackwall/Cole. Those three haven't gotten much attention at all, but it seems like the market is pretty saturated on Iron Bull and Sera recently.
