It's just speculation.
Obviously, Blackwall will be voiced by Sean Bean.
I'd accept this also ![]()

Celebrities cost a lot of money. Even without them the voice cost must be astronomical. And I would rather have a talented voice actor who is a fan of the series like Allegra Clark to get a job than some pompous superstar who would be: "Mages and templars who? Where is my bill?"
Sean Bean and Patrick Stewart took part in Oblivion. Max von Sydow and Christopher Plummer voiced Skyrim. Was it worth it? Anybody remembers their characters?

Works for me.

Sometimes we are lucky enough to get both, like Martin Sheen as The Illusive Man.

That's beccause those games were written by Betheseda, They're not exactly known for compelling characters. Throw Patrick Stewart onto a Bioware companion and watch him shine. It would be amazing.

I do get your point and quite agree with getting more lesser known actors to fill the roles, but well known actors with great voices can do wonders as well. Liam Neeson was great in Fallout 3, and I did enjoy listening to Patrick Stewart in Castlevania series. They don't always give the impression one may have wanted, but there are just as many on the other side of the fence.

I agree with this. I rather have profesional VA's instead of celebrities.
Most of the time they don't even have much VA experience.
And now I'm hungry and really want some tea, and Blackwall but that last one is pretty constant.

Literally in the exact same situation. Really need a Blackwall info dump :'(
Um, someone who dislikes danger isn't a coward. Nor is someone who's afraid of danger.
Cowardice and fear are not the same thing, you can be brave and afraid at the same time. Cowardice would be not stepping up to face danger,

So, Who is thinking of putting Alistair's shield of Blackwall? Oh, those little thing that bring you back to the beginning.
Blackwall has been shown to wield a two-handed sword in all the images so far, I think that screenshot is of the male Inquisitor in a similar helm to Blackwall's.

That's what I thought, too. I think the Bae Warden has wider shoulders.

FINALLY.
NOW I JUST NEED HIM TO SPEAK IN A CUTSCENE.
ZOMG

Good point. I mostly thought I'd post it here because people in the Twitter thread were speculating it was him.
While they're showing characters with a type of weapon, every warrior companions can use both weapons styles. So we can still see Blackwall with a sword and shield.Blackwall has been shown to wield a two-handed sword in all the images so far, I think that screenshot is of the male Inquisitor in a similar helm to Blackwall's.
That's Blackwall.
There is slight distortion, so he doesn't look proportionate, and kind of looks like a dwarf.
Maybe he'll actually...talk
So we can still see Blackwall with a sword and shield.
Why not Cassandra then, as she is the only warrior companion that has been featured with a sword and shield?
