He'll probably tank for me as a sword & board, since my dw rogue inquisitor will be the main damage dealer along with Vivienne, who'll assume double duty in crowd control with Varric.

My Inquisitor will use the weapon and shield so I'll have Blackwall use the two-handed weapons

Two-handed weapon for me. He'll be a tank of a party with three mages so here's hoping he is Aveline level awesome.

I've never played a sword and board warrior in any game, ever.  Alistair was my DAO tank and Aveline for DA2, so it will be Blackwall for me this time around .

I'm sure we'll be fine, rogues FTW! It helps that my favourite companions so far are warriors (Blackwall and Cassandra). Yay for symbiosis of noble protectors and sneaky opportunists.

let me enable some more then

 

how about a dragon fighting scene with Blackwall launching the Inquisitor with his shield who then stabs the dragon in the head using the momentum of the launch

 

(think shovel knight and shield knight) 

 

actually that also gives me an idea

I'm going to be using Blackwall as my main tank, as I do love playing a rogue. 

 

@aimo - pretty good fighting strategy!  Let tiny Cadash dart out from under Blackwall's shield for a gash to the vitals while the enemy is bashing the Wall.  I've got a short friend who uses the same one for re-enactment battles to great effect.  "Help!  I've got a barbarian in my armor!"  There's usually more than one shield, though.   I love the Blackwall/Cadash duo!  They look like so much fun.

No one was having a good day in that trailer, except maybe the narrator.  He seemed to be enjoying himself.

Always great to have a villain who enjoys his job.

I think it's someone I saw/heard on Game of Thrones... don't know who. Pretty sure it was a soldier, though. Maybe someone from the Night's Watch... or maybe Bronn.

I thought he sounded vaguely familiar too, but I've never watched GoT.  Maybe I've heard that guy on something else?  Or I could be wrong, because like I stated earlier, I'm horrible at voice recognition .

 

I didn't see any gray either.  Maybe we'll see more of him at pax?
