Uggghhhh.  I hope they're just trying to not make an announcement instead of crushing down our hopes.  As much as I like Cullen it would be nice to have at least one more option.

I know, right? They are really playing a cruel game. Or they're just so distanced from what the hardcore base cares about. Or they don't care. I really don't know at this point. I have to believe they think this is increasing anticipation for the game; they are "marketing" after all. But casual DA fans don't care about romance, and hardcore romance fans are just p!ssed off at this point.

Why do they even bother? They said romances are small part of the game which only small audience is interested in. Why mystery? Why emphasis? Tell the last two options and concentrate on gameplay, specialisations, multiplayer.

I know, exactly. At this point I don't give a sh!t about any of those things. I can't dredge up any interest in the game because I'm just so filled with anxiety and disappointment.

 

EDIT: Let me make it clear that I'm just upset with the marketing team, not the writers. I love and respect the writers.

All that's left are average-sized people though. And the race-gating for the remaining two LI was reported by Cam Lee (I think) to be for "story reasons."

The 2 race-gated romances are for story reasons compared to Iron Bull

Exactly. I've seen others that are interested in romance and they're all just angry by this point at the marketing team. It doesn't really build anticipation, it builds irritation, hahah. Of course fans like me that love the game regardless will get the game, but I'm still really frustrated at how this has been handled so far.

 

Edit: I want to say this to Sheryl Chee on twitter: The fans at the Blackwall thread are going crazy and sad. Please tell us if he is an LI or not so we can finally relax x_x

I think they mean by the tweets from his voice actor saying 'You will not be disappointed' which if it came from the devs, it would be a confirmation. It's not a confirmation because the voice actor could just be saying that about the character in general and not really know about the romance expectation and speculation going on right now.

I see more reason for Solas not to be a love interest then Blackwall, Solas is a isolationist who has a obsession with the fade. and Blackwall is just a Grey Warden who is a tad older, and what story reason would blackwall have to be race gated or not romanceable? Solas on the other hand can easily be seen with the story already told. just in my opinion Solas seems more likely to not be the romance option.
