I see more reason for Solas not to be a love interest then Blackwall, Solas is a isolationist who has a obsession with the fade. and Blackwall is just a Grey Warden who is a tad older, and what story reason would blackwall have to be race gated or not romanceable? Solas on the other hand can easily be seen with the story already told. just in my opinion Solas seems more likely to not be the romance option.

 

you can always find reasons to make a character not romanceable. Blackwall for example could be non romanceable because he's too old, he's close his caling, he's asexual, he's not interested in being anything except a greay warden... That's not really an argument. But I don't think that Solas VA didn't know what he was talking about when he answered the questions about Solas being a romance option, even if some people are afraid that he didn't know what they were referring to.

Well just of what i've seen, Solas is the last person im going to be taking on my parties, he seems like the most boring of the group to me.

I'm okay with eitehr Blackwall or Solas als long as both of them would be bisexual. But I hope the second option is Vivienne. They wanna give us 8 LI's so they really have the chance to do things fair this time. I hope they'll take this chance and make the remaining LI's (one man/one woman) bisexual.

There is no reason to argue about it. It's not like they will change the romance options now if someone makes a better case about which of the two make more sense to be or not be romance options. All we can do is cry. I mean wait.

I honestly believe the last two LIs are going to be Solas and Blackwall. The thing is, everytime we get a vague hint about the LIs, it's usually about Solas or Blackwall and after stalking the twitter thread and the forums in general, I have yet to see even one hint for Vivienne being one of the last two. Not that I want to take away any hope from those that want Vivienne, it's just what I've observed. Of course, I might be wrong though.

Exactly. I've seen others that are interested in romance and they're all just angry by this point at the marketing team. It doesn't really build anticipation, it builds irritation, hahah. Of course fans like me that love the game regardless will get the game, but I'm still really frustrated at how this has been handled so far.

 

Edit: I want to say this to Sheryl Chee on twitter: The fans at the Blackwall thread are going crazy and sad. Please tell us if he is an LI or not so we can finally relax x_x

I think after Solas VA spilled the beans Marketing tightened security to keep their beloved mystery.

And we still don't have Blackwall voice actor. Boo!

"If you were sad that you couldn't romance Duncan..." was said at PAX yesterday. This mean Blackwall is a LI?

I'm not here to argue people down about who they want to be the last 2 LI.  I'm in this thread because I am interested in Blackwall and the story arc he might have and incidentally he happens to be beautiful.  I'm not going to tell others they are wrong for who they want and I would appreciate the same respect.

 

We'll know when they want us to know.  Some will be happy and some will be sad/angry.  Until then maybe we can just enjoy speculating and appreciating the characters and the game?

I'm disgusted with the marketing team for a variety of reasons.

 

The way they are handling the LI situation is the terrible icing on a terrible cake, and the companion reveals in general have been awful, haphazard, and incredibly uneven up to this point.

So, with Solas confirmed (his sexuality still frustratingly unconfirmed as of the time of this post) and seemingly gated against all races except elves, it looks like the final romance may not be into elves for balance.

 

Everyone seems to think that Viv is the best candidate for a gate against elves.
