Unfortunately there is also the 'edit and review' stage along with 'approval'. And if it is in marketing's hands (I am now picturing a Chulthu type demon) then they may be waiting for the 'right moment'.  Likely a lull between cons and other big reveals. 

 

I really wish they had handled the reveals much differently and sooner. Before people had time to headcanon their one true pairings based on pictures and very little information. Believe me, I don't blame people for doing that in any shape or form as I had my own hopes based on the exact same information. 

 

I'm just sad because one thread will get happy news (that may or may not be impacted by gating) while the other thread won't.  Good luck you guys and I hope you get choices that make you happy!

 

 

Edit - And now I really want to see that picture of him without the helmet!

Let's hope not. I would make a blood sacrifice of all the nugs and fennecs in Thedas just to make him at least bi. I wouldn't mind it if he's gay but I don't want him straight. And I say that as a straight woman!

I just feel like all was making sense, I just knew Solas was going to be a LI but his restrictions are so tight-knit it's still a little hard to believe. Cullen is a big character, I couldn't imagine him being race-gated but for narrative reasons it makes sense, no way Cassandra is getting gated unless Vivienne is open to everyone yet it's insinuated the last character won't be gated. This is giving me a headache lol.

I do like how our relationship is stated to "change over time" with Blackwall, that kinda gives the impression he's a LI at least to me.

That would make 3 romanceable straight guys. That's overkill.

 

This would give straight women twice the amount of romance options as gay men. I would hope that scenario would have registered with the writers when distributing the romance options and would have been avoided.

 

He should be bisexual so that everyone can romance him.

This is not a writing team that cares about making quotas or pleasing/catering to certain bases. They make sure everyone is represented and everyone has choices because they're awesome like that. But mostly they make story and character decisions that are based on good writing... so if it works for the character to a romance, then so be it. Not to meet a quota... but because it works for that character.

I'm still more in favour of Blackwall, he brings something new to the table we already had the ice queen and agenda type with Morrigan(not saying that Vivienne wouldn't be awesome)
