I would like the last slot to go to Blackwall as either bi or gay, but right now I'm pretty convinced we'll be getting Vivienne as a hetero/human only LI. It's really disappointing. I'll feel alright about it if she's bi, or at least as alright as I can feel about the imbalance, because at least that means more options for more people and lesbians getting equal options to straight people. Two extra straight options only is a pretty big let down, though. I just expected more from Bioware. It feels like a step back from DA2, which only had one extra, DLC straight option.

Honestly, I was really hoping that the fact that Sheryl Chee isn't writing any of the other LIs meant that Blackwell would be one, and I'm still hoping that, but that's not really something I wanted to read right now.

Couldn't agree more. But i still hope against all odds that we will get Blackwall at least romanceable by males. We don't need another breaking of an Ice Queen, we had with Morrigan In Origins, this is time of a Beefy Gay Warden with a heart Gold. May the new Ice Queen freeze and the Rainbow Warden Rise .

Definitely, I'm Bisexual, so I kind of get double the options. But Gay people are stuck with just two right now and that really sucks. So I'm hoping they'll at least get one more option. I'm hoping for Blackwall myself, but I'm ok with Viv too.

You know what i want ? A Bioware companion voiced by David Hayter doing his Snake voice...that voice is just..sex incarnate.

I just wish, there would be a male ice king. We had two ice queens in Bioware Games. Miranda, Morrigan, now Vivienne....I'd like to see a romanceable man who's cold, strategic, rational and intelligent, because we never had something like this before.

Agreed, it's called role playing for a reason. It's so you can be someone else, someone different then who you are. So why not right ? I guess some people are uncomfortable doing romances that go outside their own orientation. But it seems limiting to me.

If nothing else, I'm sure they'll be a big fanfiction following for Blackwall. He's just too damn handsome to not have a romance.

Agreed, it's called role playing for a reason. It's so you can be someone else, someone different then who you are. So why not right ? I guess some people are uncomfortable doing romances that go outside their own orientation. But it seems limiting to me.

 

If Blackwall isn't the last LI I think I'll be going with Dorian my first playthrough. 

 

I've been "role-playing" as someone different than who I am my whole life tho (both in games and in real life). I've had no choice in this. I'm ready to role-play someone the same as who I am. It's not just about discomfort, it's about Dragon Age literally being the only game I've ever found where I can both be gay and romance another guy.

 

I'm sure you mean well, it's just kind of exhausting to hear so many people say over and over that I should 'try something new' by roleplaying someone other than a PC who matches my gender/sexuality combination, when DA is the only game I've found that doesn't force me to roleplay straight.

 

EDIT: To keep it on topic, that's why if Blackwall is straight, it's not just a simple matter of "roll a woman" for me. Anyway, I promise I'm not trying to be confrontational, just trying to see if I can help you understand my point of view.
