Just given as is, it's a pretty confusing comment (why would one of Blackwall's biggest fans be disappointed at him looking even better than expected?)... so I think it's best to disregard it, and kind of unfair to Sheryl Chee for us to try to dissect her every word...

I don't want to put too much stock in it. But I don't think it should be entirely disregarded either.

Agreed, while I do desperately want Blackwall to be an LI. I also want him to be an option for gay men. I'll feel worse that they're out another option then I will for just myself.

Just throwing in my support for Blackwall as the last LI. I've had a crush on the guy since the survey leak and am really, really hoping he's available to all Inquisitors. What gives me hope is this: before Bull was un-gated, he was gated against dwarves (not sure about elves or humans, tbh). If Viv was the last LI, this would mean gay male dwarves would only have Dorian and straight female dwarves would only have Cullen. This also seems to point to Cullen not being gated against dwarves.

 

We've been told each race/gender combination would have at least two options. Let's say Bull remain gated and Viv was the last LI. That would still leave gay male dwarves with only Dorian and straight female dwarves with only Cullen. I seriously doubt the comment about some races getting less options meant "you may get just one." We've ALWAYS had at least two LI options in DAO and DA2. I doubt it'll change for DAI. So, no, I'm not giving up hope on Blackwall. His chances are still quite good and I shan't think any different. Chin up and all that!

 

EDIT : Reworded a bit of the first paragraph to make more sense. :3 Also removed a word from the 2nd paragraph. I meant "getting less options," not "not getting less options." >.<

Actually I believe we were told each gender and sexuality would have at least two options; it's on us if we don't want to change our race to romance our desired LI.

yeah, i'm personally hoping for a bisexual BlackWall so that my human female straight quizzy is not stuck with IB for the only Companion romance.

 

i really thought solas would be an option for my human female, but nope. so Blackwall  is my only hope, and he's looking and sounding hot.
