It's why I force myself not to get my hopes up and planning any other Inquisitors beyond my first one with Josephine. :x I don't wanna plan to romance say Cassandra with a Dwarf only to find her to be gated against them ya know?

I see no other option if Blackwall turns out to be a non gated bisexual LI. Straight women would get 4 options. It's only logical to gate their straight LI.

Gating happens for story reasons though, and I can't think of a story reason why Cullen would not be into qunari or dwarf women.

So from the last few pages I can assume, Blackwall will not be a romance(based on the quote from the author), but the fan fiction is going to be amazing..........I suppose I can live with that. So now my only concern is who the last race gate is going to be(and is it going to be as strict as Solas's) but it does make my class and race choice pretty easy, Qunari mage so I can make Iron Bull as uncomfortable as I made Fenris.

It wouldn't be an issue of tolerance... It's not like he would be intolerant of them or hate them. But just feel like it would be inappropriate for him to be with an elf when his people enslave theirs. 

 

It's a weak argument lol but stronger than anything against Cullen currently.

 

Other possible reasons for gating... "My former lover was a [insert race] and I don't know if I could ever be with a [insert race] again because it would only make me think of him/her."
