Anyway this news really exciting to me.  The male bioware LI's have never done much of anything for me. I guess when it comes to my men I'm racist, in ME I found all the male aliens repulsive (except for Krogans but they ooze that strength and stubborn spirit I like in guys but not romanceable) and in DA I always thought elves to be too pretty, dwarves as a whole are... ehh (Varric is the one exception I have seen) and qunari.... yeah lol no.    The human males were never really rugged and manly enough for my tastes and then their personalities kind of just... didn't compare to the women at all. 

 

Now I don't know about Blackwall's personality but a little spark of hope for human male Bioware LI's has been reignited in me.  I like to think that my complaining has made a difference.

 

ALSO THANK YOU FOR GIVING FEMALES MORE OPTIONS THEN THE GUYS DRAGON AGE TEAM!!! (and straight relationships at that) *stares disapprovingly at the ME games*

I wish just once that they would give us gay guys a masculine, strong, human  knight in shining armor  instead of always making them straight.

 

By my standards the girls never got one either.

It's kind of funny. I have a huge crush on an ME character Blackwall vaguely resembles and Thane was my favorite actual romance. This is like both in one delicious package.

 

And earlier today, I thought I'd effectively have nobody.

I agree, i was hoping that Blackwall were gonna be for both genders, but i can see now that they got 2 bi persons already, so i get it....i played a female protaganist in ME for Garrus, i can do the same for Blackwall, if i so choose ^^

I can't play as a female due to the ridiculous walking and running animations, so I'm out of luck here.  Sucks because I didn't think they would give us this many straight guys, so if Blackwall was a LI I was banking on him to be Bisexual.  But due to the crappy way they were revealed, and the revelations of "core" and "extra" it threw off my perception and expectations.

 

This is something I've noticed and I don't like it either.

 

Next game, I want there to be a knight in shining armor character. Big and strong and noble like something out of a fairytale.

 

And I want him to be so very, very gay.

I don't count Varric. Because he's not at all interested in the Inquisitor. Besides, I never expected it to be incredibly equal to be honest. Given Allan's statement of "Everyone will have at least two choices" and it's true really, everyone has an equal amount of base choices. Just the race-gated ones tip the scale a bit and then we can't consider how much they matter until the game rolls around. Again, I'm really sorry things didn't turn out as you expected but them's the breaks.

They have 2 gay people, 2 bisexual, and 4 hetero romances, 2 of them you can´t have in your party ( Cullen and josephine), so that leaves 1 Bisexual (Iron bull) that you can have in the party. Solas like female elves only. And counting Varric in this is wierd since he ain´t...you know, a romance option?

 

so for party memebers you got 1 bi, 2 gay, and 3 hetero ( and one only like elves).

 

from what i gather the non party romance options, should be just as good as the party romance options ( don´t know if that was the case in ME IMO, but this ain´t ME).

 

so don´t expect it to be fair lol...it is what it is...
