Many gay people keep behaving as they are beyond criticism because they belong to a 'socially disadvantaged cathegory' and end up discriminating straight people with the only difference that straight people can't say a word without being afraid to be labeled negatively.

Well for me if man (whom I intrested as LI) also loves men it is confusing. Not bad thing but it is embarasses me very much. I loved Zevran but still.

I see, but It's a single-player game, make it your own. Make how many different scenarios as you like. I'm pretty sure that if you romance Blackwall as a female he will not turn his eyes towards someone else. It's fantasy, and it's your own. Just enjoy it.

I'd say he's early-mid forties. As far as eye color... I dunno, a silvery blue is what it looks like to me. 

Light, grey, green or blue. Hard to say from the screenshots.

I'd like to add that it really shouldn't matter if he was bi. Since I doubt he would of ever flirted with another man.

If Blackwall had been BI  I would have made a second male (first is still reserved for Dorian) and that romance might have been the better one, like Kaidan in Mass Effect.

I'm perfectly content with the options I got actually.

Wow. I have to say, the Solas thread had way less jerks when he was confirmed straight, but I guess they've always been pretty awesome. I'm pretty shocked at how awful some Blackwall fans are being.

I know man...this is ridiculous. I'm ok with him being straight. I'll just make a Femquisitor. But some of the attitudes towards LGB people in here are really bothering me.

I'm happy with the romances.  I think Bioware got it right.  I'm glad there are finally gay people in it, like there were in Mass Effect, and there are still bi people in it.  I wasn't even expecting Blackwall to be a romance, straight or otherwise, and it doesn't bother me in the least.

 

What does bother me is straight people imagining they're being discriminated against, because they're made to feel mildly uncomfortable at any critique of their opinions about us.

 

I'm a gay man in his mid-thirties.  I had to leave home at 18 because my life was in danger.  I've lost a job because I'm gay.  Friends of mine have been assaulted on the street for being what they are.  There's 10 anti-gay murders a year in this country, and this is Canada which is supposed to be accepting.  Gay men make, on average, less than straight men or straight women.  Until a few years ago, I was a second-class citizen in my own country, unable even to marry.  My basic human rights are still treated as if they're controversial.

 

This is a game.  You feel as if you're "being discriminated against" because you've been made to feel uncomfortable about expressing an opinion about some other people's opinions that may be homophobic.  That's not what discrimination is.   

 

And that I really had to spit out, because I'm so tired of LGBT people getting told our opinions about ourselves and portrayal of media are somehow "Reverse discrimination" because the people being challenged might feel mildly uncomfortable

I'd imagine a tad gruff (I mean he's a Grey Warden, not exactly the happiest profession). Maybe a little bit of Duncan mixed with a few splashes of Oghren's humor?
