I'm glad I always picked that option, would hate for it to come back and bite me in the ass.

 

I always do that too, regardless of playthrough. I mean, free powers, right? Hahah. Hopefully it won't have negative results and actually benefit players that did it.

 

 

I just tried to make my human mage character that will romance Blackwall in the DAO CC and I like how she came out 8D. I'm thinking sarcastic/smart, battle mage-y type character. Think that will fit with Blackwall? He looks like he has a sense of humor too.

I still need more info about specialisations and CC to plan my characters. Also maybe something about gameplay features like crafting or what Skyhold does exactly. Nothing about characters or story, of course.

As for the leaks, I think achievements and the Keep got them covered this time. But I will be probably too busy tinkering with the Keep which I expect in October to pay attention anyway.

Definitely. I made the mistake of hanging out on the Bioware forums a few days before the ME2 release. Major spoilers were being posted in thread titles by some guy, so it was impossible to avoid them. Damn sure not making the same mistake twice.

I believe it was stated that we won't get another Fenris mission.

 

It will be much easier to recognize wether you will recruit a companion with that quest.

Definitely. I made the mistake of hanging out on the Bioware forums a few days before the ME2 release. Major spoilers were being posted in thread titles by some guy, so it was impossible to avoid them. Damn sure not making the same mistake twice.

The exact same thing happened before DA2... might have even been the same person, who knows?  I'll be taking November off and I suggest others do the same if they don't like spoilers.

Wanted to pop by and says congrats to the Blackwall fan for the romance. Looking forward to seeing his character story arch play out, though I still have no clue how old Blackwall is.

I think it will be easy enough to avoid spoilers if we are careful enough. I will not click on topics that discuss the game when it comes out if I haven't played it, of course. But I WILL cheat into seeing how to get Blackwall super early ;P.

I keep telling myself I'll go dark, just like I keep telling myself I won't check the wiki because I'll solve that stupid slider puzzle on my own.  Right.  I might as well not beat myself up over it now and avoid the rush later.  I'm going to spoil myself rotten.  There.  I've said it.  If having a few secrets makes it fun, I'm into it.  I'm still finding stuff in DAO that's a-ha! I've solved the secrets of the universe (or maybe found a bit of undisclosed trivia.)  I won't feel guilty either way.

Yes, definitely. I remember having DA2 spoiled on the boards but it was my own fault for reading the spoilers thread. I don't want to do that again so plan on getting out of here about a week or two before the game is released. I don't want to know anything, or at least not anything important. Knowing what happened in DA2 in advance sort of ruined things for me.

I dunno...there's a fair amount of GoT actors too. Gwendoline Christie's still a mystery. She could be Blackwall! Or Sean Bean. My mum says he's Sean Bean. (I doubt it myself)

 

I will romance him like none other if he's Sean Bean. But I really don't hear Sean Bean in the video clip, lol.

I don't generally come up with elaborate back stories for my characters. But today, while I should have been working, I was daydreaming about Blackwall. I think my first playthrough will be with a Dalish rogue. She has heard about the Warden Mahariel, and Tamlen, and the cursed mirror. She has heard about the tragedy that followed the keeper of that clan and her First. She has heard the rumors of how Mahariel left with a Grey Warden and never came home again. What caused her to give up everything she knew to follow the Wardens? Did she really survive the fight with the Archdemon by using dark magic as some people said? Where did she disappear to with her shemlen lover?

 

This Inquisitor will initially just be curious about Blackwall and the Grey Wardens...then she will be drawn into a tragic romance and certain doom! How delightfully dark and depressing! I can't wait!

Who was supposed to be Team Vulgar besides IB and BW? Sounds like the group I'll enjoy most, at least with my dwarf.

Regarding that one voice actor, Alistair Parker... He sounds like the voice in the clip. Like really close. I'd almost say that it was him, from listening to the commercial VO. And then when he's doing the narrative VO, his voice softens, and he does sound like Stephen Dillane. So... If Stephen Dillane has the ability to deepen his voice up like how we heard Blackwall's in the clip, I'd say it could be one or the other. I didn't think it was Stephen Dillane at first, because his voice seemed too quiet. But after hearing Alistair sounding like him, yeah, it's definitely possible.

 

But I'll never look at Stannis Baratheon the same way again.

 

Btw, is Bara from Baratheon? The nickname for Blackwall?

I can never make myself go dark. I love all information on the game, spoilers or no.
