Did you have to say that. Now I'm seeing that too and not sure if it's ever going away
Sorry. I couldn't foresee anything like Bluedrake's response. ![]()

Not your fault. *Still blushing like mad*

I am on a quest to become known as the biggest pervert on the BSN!
Mwuahahahahahaha!
*ahem* I do apologize if I offended anyone. I meant it all in good fun.

Not offending just making me glad no one's reading what I'm doing over my shoulder. And blushing like h*ll of course

Maybe I should give a warning when I make innuendos...
When you see this sign, check over your shoulder to make sure nobody's looking. Or just don't look...

Anyone else feel like this screenshot is the biggest clue we have about Blackwall's character direction in DA:I?

I mean, this is a guy who volunteered to be a Warden. To him it's a higher calling, one he had dedicated himself to. But here, he's standing in front of a gallows without armor or weapon, and he seems to be casting off his Warden's Oath. What caused him to take such a drastic step away from the life he chose?
In the background, there's a sword stuck into the wood of the gallows, a man who's hands are bound and looks annoyed and/or confused, and several unconscious guards in vaguely Orlesian-looking armor. I think it's clear that Balckwall was one of the 'executees', otherwise he'd be wearing armor. And if he's throwing away his Warden's Oath, my guess is that he did something the Wardens didn't want him to do. But what?
My guess is Corypheus has taken control of the Wardens after the events of the Legacy DLC in DA2. So they have remained idle while the world burns. Blackwall, having already missed out on the Fifth Blight because of Logain's asshattery, is not willing to stand by while innocent people die. So he disobeys the Wardens and takes part in the fight, and is condemned to die as a result. So now he and the Inquisitor have to work together to cleanse the Wardens of this evil influence. This would explain the parts in the trailers with Inquisition soldiers fighting Grey Wardens.
If this is close to the truth, it sounds like Blackwall has a new path to find in the world, or at least he has to work to regain his old one. Could be very interesting in terms of his romance. If he has someone new that he cares about, can he really go back to the Warden's life?
Also, I'm wondering if Blackwall sounds Orlesian. We seem to be lacking that outside of Leliana. If half the game takes place there, it behooves us to have a companion who speaks the dialect. Do we have any dialogue snippets from the gameplay we've seen thus far?

That just makes me think he has crabs. EWWW!!
I refer you to the second sentence of my post.
That would be one heck of a naughty drawer to explain to the kids...
You could tell them some white little lie. And have it come back biting your ass later when they discover the truth ![]()

Not that. It takes a great deal more to offend me. I was just surprised to see someone say such a thing on a public forum. It's nothing I'd have done. Anyway, no problem here.
@CastonFolarus:
I concur with your hypothesis. There have been hints the Wardens may be connected to a sinister purpose in DAI, and that would explain it neatly and fit with the events of DA2/Legacy.
Seeing as he's a dog person, I'd like it if Skyhold or one of the Fereldan keeps has a kennel with mabari wardogs and have Blackwall petting or training a few of them.

Each of the companions and advisors has a place where they like to hang out in Skyhold. Maybe Blackwall will be found around the kennels (if there are any). Otherwise the armory, maybe?
I think we might find him in the courtyard. That screenshot where he's holding a sword, practicing, looks like Skyhold.
I wouldn't mind if Blackwall found a new, er, calling instead of remaining a Warden. But I want it to be a way he can better serve and not him falling in love and deciding that's enough. I feel the need to say that after ME3.

Looks like he may have cut the noose of the other man with bound hands...

Trying really hard not to crack a "Tainted Love" joke right now. ![]()
I like your "love isn't enough" idea though. Perhaps he leaves the Wardens and finds another cause to champion. I haven't played the ME series so I'm at a loss to comment on that aspect.
So I am happy for all the Blackwall fans. Now you get to have a really depressing romance. And I don't mean that in a bad way. I just feel there is no way this end well with him being an older Warden. Should be good.
After reading some forum threads it makes me sad that so many people deliberately restrict their roleplaying choices in race, gender, etc. Playing DAO I enjoyed different origins a lot. Still can't say which one was my favourite - both Dwarves, Cousland or female city elf. I was very surprised that only 5 % played as dwarves.
Seeing posts like "I always play male human two-handed warrior" or "I always play female human mage who romances Alistair" or "I can never play as a man/woman" and it's just wow. When a new RPG game arrives it's like a candy shop to me. So many possibilities! So why restrict yourself and not see most if not all available content? Do so many people want to project themselves into fantasy world or there are other reasons for that?
So what about you? Do you want to explore and try everything or you see your one and only Inquisitor as a predetermined character? Or maybe something in between?

Some people don't like playing as someone of the opposite gender/sexuality if they're given a choice.
I used to be the same way, it's not really bigoted or anything, they just like playing as someone they relate to I guess.

Like Ashelsu, I prefer to roll all possible genders / classes at least once for science. I don't normally enjoy playing a male though (I'm female) because I just find boys to be cumbersome. lol I admit I'm pretty partial to a female rogue.
I definitely gravitate to certain types and have preferences. Though those can shift. I seem to be all about mages for DAI, for example.
I usually try almost everything possible. There are my favourites but I try to not always do them (and at times fail) Also always try to check all romances too and decisions so I can get as much out of the game I can
