Does anyone else feel particularly drawn to Blackwall/mage? I think I am because I tend to give my mages an ethos of service.

You knew I was, didn't you?

 

Anyway, Maelyn Trevelyan does have an ethos of service as part of her background, but don't you dare point that out to her. She does feel the obligation to be better than the average person because to her, that's what nobility means, but she's is seriously allergic to following others in that regard, to the point that it would be possible to make her do the opposite if you point out that something is, in fact, her obligation.

 

My qunari is totally different in that regard. Probably not Blackwall material but we'll see. So far I haven't planned any romance for her. Lilaeya Lavellan will likely have something with Solas. All are mages.

Indeed . I think I might use the double Bladed daggers for her. I'm interested in how their animations differ from normal daggers.

@Ieldra My qunari feels like she was chosen by something for some reason and it shifts her from merc to paladin. My personal way of coping with having a 7ft tall Chosen One who can kill people with a flick of the wrist. If she didn't develop that ethos I'd find it too easy to make her Shep.

I think that meeting with Andraste/whoever in the Fade will be an interesting spiritual experience for any Inquisitor. Can lead to reassessment of values.

I haven't yet decided how to call the weapons . The past days I finalized my characters:

Male Dalish mage: Fëanor Lavellan, Josephine.
Male Qunari mage: Ataash Adaar, Dorian.
Male human warrior: Gawain Trevalyan, Cassandra.
Male dwarf warrior: Thorin Cadah, Cassandra.
Female human mage: Rebekah Trevalyan, Cullen.
Female dwarf rogue: Arya Cadash, Blackwall.
Female qunari rogue: Asaaranda Adaar, Iron Bull.
Female human warrior: Brianne Trevalyan, Sera.
Female Dalish mage: Luthien Lavellan, Solas.
One of the Cass romances might shift for Josephine, and I might do another male qunari to romance IB or Dorian, for equality in male and female playthroughs. I don't know the order, other then Fëanor as my first. The second will depend on the final impression on the characters after playing the game.

Hello, let me just delurk for a moment.

 

I am very happy that Blackwall turned out to be a romance, he was my second choice next to Dhmg (Dorian) alas, that mage turned out be male-only. I wanted that mustache as a female so much but then....the beard appeared and every turned out to be okay. I am just glad I am not forced to choose between clean-shaven boy number 1 or clean-shaven dude number 2 if I want a romance. At any rate hurrah for Blackwall I never doubted  his chances.

 

Now I will return to my cave.

Easily? I spent pages on the Cullen thread as they helped me out. And I've just discovered my Qunquisitor likes Tevinter things.

That she (my qunari, still nameless) has "just" a mercenary's code of honor and believes it's perfectly ok to use her magic for personal ambition doesn't mean that she goes about setting people on fire for petty reasons.

None of my Inquisitors is particularly spiritual. The encounter induces curiosity, nothing more. They are mages, they know the Fade is full of spirits.
