So, question for y'all.  What attracted you (in a romantic or non-romantic way) to the character of Blackwall, based on what's been said so far?  Just curious to hear all your thoughts.

 

 

 

Definitely the initial concept art, especially the beer drinking tavern shot. I thought he looked hot and I had no idea what his personality was like at the time. I'm shallow like that.

 

That was enough for me... oh, and that he was older (yay!) and a big bear of a man. 

 

I don't know yet if I'll like him once I get in game but I think so. He seems honorable and good and that always works for me.

Not bad, I like his voice, though I notice whenever he has to get loud it starts sounding a bit odd, so definitely seems like him.

@AshesEleven - Really nice initial concept art, especially the tavern shot.  DA2 left me kind of broody-ed out, so the prospect of a companion who was over the angst was really appealing.  The fact that he's really hot was a nice bonus.

I'm gonna have to agree - and if not Ferelden, maybe out of the Free Marches.  Fereldens are definitely known for being the dog lovers.  Or maybe he considers himself a man of all nations.

Shouldn't we use occam's razor on where he is from right now? he is the Orlesian Warden Constable so shouldn't we assume he is Orlesian? i'm not saying we shouldn't speculate though

Well we can't really. Considering the Warden-Commander of Fereldan can be Orlesian.
