Since we don't know his personality yet, his northern lilt would be perfect for him if he turns out to be tough, but relatively layed back guy. On the other hand, that deeper voice he does at 0:24 fits all of the screenshots where he's rocking the "Blackwall Intensifies" look.

Been playing dragon commander for a while, and....this voice, oh this type of voice and personality fits the bull Beardy (of what i imagine him to be like  )

You have a point, haven't seen much of Josephine. Which is strange, generally the female LI's get quite a bit of attention. But Cass hasn't gotten many pictures either. Though she was in some of the trailers.

I suppose that's the real reason Varric wasn't an LI. Varric and Blackwall would have overloaded the game with manly. It was all a technical issue.
