Make a choice? I'm thinking of switching to Dalish. My options might multiply.

New trailer is kind of meh to me. But at least we got a new wallpaper/family picture. ![]()

Yep, I used it too!
I liked the trailer. I just want this game already.

My greediness has no bounds. I want to hear these american voices, damn it!
The Keep is coming soonishly. That will help with waiting for the game. ![]()
I've been hoping to hear Sumalee as well. I like the way Alix sounds but sometimes I only see Traynor and I'm not sure I want that when I play. Hope I can get past it!

Alix will be good for elven quizzy or human sissy mage. For qunari or dwarf though... Just no. Too girly.
That was one of my problems in DA2. I like deep badass voices.
I was thinking I would like her for a human but not so much any other race. But I still hope I can get past it! I'll have to see if she fits human rogue since that's what I want to play first ![]()

I know, right? Sumalee Montano's voice is still in the same vocal range (soprano?) as Alix Wilton-Regan's, just with a slightly different inflection and accent. I would love it if they did a deeper-voiced female protag sometime, alto range perhaps. An example of the range I'm thinking of would be Cate Blanchett. I guess in order to identify as male or female the voice has to be obviously so. With Shale (male VA), I always imagined an older woman with a cigarette gravel voice.
Shale's VA is a woman - Geraldine Blecker.

Based on what I heard from Sumalee, she has quite deep velvet voice. Mmm... ![]()
Shale was voiced by Gerealdine Blecker, though.
She did a great job. A lot of people were deceived.

I wish Shale was a romance. She is the strongest female character in any Dragon Age game. How many women do you know that can lift a house with one hand?

Some of her dialogues were hysterical as well. Shame she's not in this one.

Oops. Looks like I was right in my impressions, at least (don't know if Geraldine Blecker's a smoker, though, but the voice change is familiar.) Awesome casting, Bioware! I'd love to see Shale again, possibly with a different VA (and/or plot state, if Ms. Blecker isn't available.)

I thought of this. Only problem is, I can't stomach the noodle arms on the female elves. I originally planned to eventually run a Dalish for each class, now, I'm not sure I'll be able to bring myself to play more than a mage. I just can't look at the arms on that supposed two-handed weapon warrior yesterday and actually believe she can lift the sword off the ground, much less swing it hard enough to hurt anything. Maybe it's just the angle of the shots, but still.

I'll be playing as her great, great, great, great, great, ..... something, so that could be a bit awkward.
The Wardens are the de facto rulers of the Anderfels, but not the titular ones. There is a king, but he's so taken up in his own affairs that the people look to the Wardens for leadership. (source: DA wiki)
I still take Riordan's comment that they do rule regardless. You can't have two rulers over a group of people unless the people agree. The people look to the Wardens to rule. Doesn't matter on the difference of de facto or not. Bottom line, the Wardens rule the Anderfels by Riordan's statement vs. the wiki. I'll take what a character says in the game vs the wiki any day of the week.
I'm not saying your wrong, I just see it as not making a difference. When the people look to the Wardens for leadership. Same thing as ruling in my book.
I have to beg to differ on your assessment of the situation. I perceive a target rich environment. Yay!
Lady Aimo has spoken on the matter of lady Dwarves with beards!
