Clive Standen does make a pretty good Blackwall, but he is probably a bit too young-looking for Blackwall. Clive looks closer to Cullen's age then (Mid-late 30's) then Blackwall (about 45-50).

On another note, his eye color looks about right for Blackwall. Blackwall has blue-grey eyes, right? Edit: Ha! I see he's got sort of hazel/green eyes, from the bigger picture. Hmm! I wouldn't mind if that's Blackwall's eye color.

Not that I know of, but you can pretty easily eyeball it. I'd be very surprised if it turns out he was any younger then about 43-45.

I know, but I wasn't going on the beard alone, I was going on the overall face detail - specifically lines, gaunt and wear. Compare it to Cullen's and you may see what I mean. I put Blackwall around the age of Duncan and Loghain, possibly slightly younger then the latter.

 

In any case, no reason why anyone has to agree with it - just my opinion.

Is Blackwall's age official?

They've implied pretty strongly that he and Solas are the oldest companions, and I thought there'd been something a few months ago placing his age as over 40. It's one of the reasons I was disappointed that they seemed to drop the grey streaks from his beard and hair. But we'll find out pretty soon, one way or another.

They've implied pretty strongly that he and Solas are the oldest companions, and I thought there'd been something a few months ago placing his age as over 40. It's one of the reasons I was disappointed that they seemed to drop the grey streaks from his beard and hair. But we'll find out pretty soon, one way or another.

That is probably because of engine's limitations. Even if he has some gray hair, it's not as prominent as in concept art.

Also, I think these are funny musings.

• sleeping on his back a lot so he wakes up with thick knots
• taking the longest out of everyone to get ready bc he’s meticulous abt his beard and eyebrows and how he wears his hair

• grumbling about how much hair he loses when he washes it

• fighting off sera who is adamant he needs to start cutting his hair like ‘a real warrior’ (she means like her, obviously)
• letting cole touch it bc he’s never seen anyone with such thick hair; his is thin and brittle
• arguing w/ solas about the pros and cons of shaving
• taking off his helmet and shaking his hair loose. everything goes into slow motion
• getting his hair caught in a brush or comb and asking for help

To tell the truth there is not really that much to go around. They seem to keep him under lock and key. Or at least it seems to us fans they do
