I'm probably going to play a female human archer rogue.  I plan on romancing Blackwall first (if Cullens insane beauty doesn't break me!).

I wonder if we are able to flirt with more than one person?  I know I just finished my first ever male play through of DA:O and he hit up both Morrigan and Leliana until forced to choose.  Then he went with Leliana.  Then some how Morrigan fell for him again and I had to break up with her a second time

Blackwall is absolutely the companion I'm most excited to meet though.  Then probably Solas.  I really feel like him and Cole are going to have the most insight to contribute to what is going on.

Didn't they say you have to choose and your romance will lock like in ME 3?

Asunder made me resentful to Cole, it probably means I'll get along with Sera and Vivienne. :D  It'll be hard to RP a character who will be friendly to him.

As for Cullen, well, preferences, opinions, tastes differ and all that... :P I don't get his appeal at all. He is not my type, but he will probably be my Trevelyan mage's (she doesn't have a name yet.) type.

OMG.  I LOVE THIS COMIC!!!!!!!  It is totes what I felt like.  I always liked Cullen.  Thought he was good looking.  And thought he would be all my romances because everyone kept telling me Blackwall had no chance and I was so incredibly sad.  Then he was announced and I lost my ...stuff   My daughter thought I was going crazy.

I didn't like Cole in Asunder either.  I super didn't like him.  I have never murder knifed anyone in my games but kept telling my friends he was going to get it.  But now I will probably give him a chance because I think he will be interesting.  But he may still get it

I don't necessarily agree with the take on Cullen or his fandom, but I still absolutely adore this.  Your heart eyes at the end are fabulous lol.

Me, I've been liking the idea of playing a qunari archer for Blackwall's romance. I'm thinking of calling her Ash. She'll be kind of a bad*ss. With a thing for beards. And an admiration for a man who appreciates having a purpose in life. And Blackwall looks like he could handle her, physically speaking. Sera, not so much. And I'm thinking Ash is just going to say no to riding bulls, as that serves little actual purpose. Climbing walls, however, implies that there is a goal on the other side....

I'm thinking of Blackwall with my female Qunari too, which will be my first playthrough. But...Aimo has made me like Cadash/Blackwall so much I can't decide. Decisions, decisions...

See, I'm avoiding Cadash/Blackwall for my first playthrough specifically to avoid feeling like I'm poaching off of Aimo's awesome art. I'll feel obligated to copy her Inquisitor, rather than play as the character I created naturally would. I'll need a little more knowledge of how DA:I plays out before I start a Cadash/Blackwall playthrough.

Rest assured, however, that such a playthrough WILL happen. I'm still debating what he class should be, though. I mean, being a rogue fits better with having Blackwall in the party all the time. But....I LOVE female dwarf warriors. There's just not enough of them in Dragon Age.

I don't like the Qunari (please don't hate me!) so I won't be playing as one.  Ever.  Human and Elf is probably my range for this game.  With a very small (pun, hur hur) chance at a dwarf.  I've never played as one before  :o

I am going to probably romance blackwall with my cadash, me and Aimo have similar characters in the first dragon age and I would not be suprised if we ended up similar in the next and not intentionally either.

I don't blame you at all. I wanted to play as one eventually, but the hair options are just so horrible... I hope that they'll either put out a hair dlc or a toolset for mods so that I can at least have nice hair, and then I'll make one for Iron Bull.

Each to their own I guess, playing my Qunari lady is perhaps what I'm looking forward to most in DA:I. And the hair options don't really bother me - I'm fine with that mohawk look.

I will not lie, I don't like Cullen. The reasons are more related to his personality and deeds, however, not his apperance. I never followed his thread and have no idea what his fanbase looks like. I'm not interested in him. I think the people are free to like who they want, be it Blackwall, Cullen or both and should not be berated for it. I don't think that the author of this picture wanted to humiliate Cullen's fans.

Sometimes jokes about "women, your ovaries should explode when seeing Cullen" irritate me, though. But unless BioWare thinks, that all women adore Cullen and will force this idea in the game Jacob-style (forced auto flirt) somehow, I should be fine.

If things go as planned, my Trevelyan assassin and Cadash artificer will join Blackwall's club. :)

I'm a Cullenite, and I think the cartoon is cute. I don't take offense to it at all, but another Cullenite might feel differently. To each their own. I'm also a Blackwaller. :)

I like Cullen, I can see why his fans like him so much. But big, grizzled, experienced men (with beards) have always been what struck my fancy, so sorry Cullen...Blackwall has you beat in that department. You'll win one of my Inquisitor's hearts eventually.  :P

Well, I like Cullen but I'm not a fan, I think he's a handsome man with sound principles but he never made me squee. I never followed other fandom's threads too, be it Cullen or Solas or any other character I'm not interested in. As far as I'm concerned people can like or dislike whatever they want and I never understood this need to judge and criticize others, in videogames as in other matters of life. I think the comic is very cute and funny and I don't understand how one could get offended by it, perhaps Cullen fans are tired to be subjected to public ridicule?

I just have a problem with the second Blackwall comic because it's kinda sexist and plays on basic ideas of hypermasculinity (through hair), which is frustrating. I like Blackwall; what they've shown of him so far shows a certain depth and kindness in his character and having him be insulting is a little repugnant if the purpose is only to show what a "man" he is for the purpose of fulfilling a romantic fantasy.

I think if everything is filtered through this kind of perspective then everything might be offensive in some way and one should never laugh, I think some sense of humor makes life easier for everyone  ;)

I think it's a bit ludicrous to imply that I don't have a sense of humor...because I find this one actually sexist thing to be problematic.

If the premise and purpose of the comic is to showcase how attractive Blackwall is to the artist, there are any number of ways to communicate that.

I just don't think it should be the kind of humor that regurgitates particularly troublesome societal tenets about manhood and is also insulting. It's the same vein as a dumb blonde joke...and those are horrible.

I never said that you don't have sense of humor and I'd never dare judge someone I don't know, actually it was a generic reflection and if it was implied somehow in what I wrote I apologize.

My first wall-climber will be a Cadash tempest that's as hobbit-like as I can manage.  I'm imagining her as the public relations part of the family business.  She knows what goes on in the back room and how the family earns its income, but isn't involved directly.  She's part of a large, ethnic family (which ethnicity doesn't matter - once the size of an extended family reaches critical mass, they're all nuts) and some of the cousins can be real scamps.  Sort of like a short, bearded version of the Sopranos.  She'd be in the logistics department.  With natural hazards, cutthroat competition, and the politics of two races to contend with, she's got more on her mind than what the ore coming out of Orzammar is used for.  As far as she cares, the wagons could contain very expensive propeller beanies.
