Blackwall/Cassandra/Sera might end up being one of my favourite crews. Impression I'm getting from that concept is that Sera is the vulgar one of 'team vulgar,' Blackwall's the one who finds it amusing and goes along with it despite himself, and Cassandra's all "I don't know these people..." :S

That sounds pretty cool.  I wish there were times when more than 3 companions could accompany you.  I would love to get Iron Bull in there too, since I can really see Sera and Bull feeding off each other's wit.  Blackwall might be more on team vulgar for the lulz, but I imagine there's an advantage to building a team that works and plays together.  The fraternity among wardens was touched on in the games and books, and kicking back for pints and laughs is part of that.  Wouldn't it be funny if Blackwall's the prankster of the group?  I don't think it'll happen, but I'll imagine it does unless I see why it wouldn't.  Imagine Blackwall gluing a coin to the bar and watching from cover while the barman tries for 10 minutes to pry it up.

Well, I hope his humor isn't too crass and that he won't continuously come out with dirty jokes between a burp and a fart   but I have a thing for men with a sense of humor  so if he turns out to be a self-righteous prig I join the Cullen fan-club 

 

Around Sera and The Bull I reckon he is more than happy to join in on the bawdy jokes (soooo rolling that team in game at some point) but he might be more subdued on his own tho.

Though what do I know, she's posted in this thread before, she's probably lurking in the shadows and laughing maniacally at all our predictions as we speak. Or now that the game's gone gold she's off the grid passed out somewhere. Hm.

Should have pieced this together myself, now it all makes sense. Stick to a caliber you enjoy, clever Snooks, very clever. *sigh* I envy you lot who can easily roleplay any gender/romance, I struggle. :/

While Isabela was more on the wild side, Leliana was romantic. So we don't know how Blackwall will turn out. i think crass jokes will be Bull's prerogative, though (ESRB). If you want to be safe, bring Blackwall with grown ups - Cass and Solas. For comparison, Wynne was very nice to Leliana, much more bold with Oghren and Zevran, and liked to tease Alistair. Maybe Blackwall will be something like that. Ah, I can't wait to see party's interactions.

Same.   I did other romances for science and diversity, but didn't enjoy them as Leliana's and Isabela's. Hmm, I see a pattern here... I don't remember if Sheryl Chee wrote a male LI romance before, it will be interesting.

I hope she survived the crunch without much injuries and is celebrating now.

I've always imagined Wardens to have a sense of humor, sometimes kind of a morbid one, as a coping mechanism. Personally, I can't imagine dealing with the whole reality of a Grey Warden's life (shorter lifespan, nightmares, constant battles with darkspawn etc.) without being able to make light of it sometimes. This, plus the fact that he's a part of team vulgar makes me think Blackwall will be fun to hang out with. I can imagine my girly!quizzy hearing some of the Blackwall/IronBull/Sera banters and thinking "How in the world did I fall for him..."

I fully expect DA:I to throw my headcannons out the window when it comes out, though, since we still we still know next to nothing about him.
