"And I would love to say more, but I won't. Ask me again in October."
This woman is more adamant than our Foreign Minister. :P

Why spoil the surprise? ^_^

Sheryl, if you're there, can we at least know this...

Is he....the rump roast?

^_^

Only if you're the gravy.

Bring on the biscuits.

I think this metaphor has gotten away from us.

I keep hearing this song and after Blackwall's reveal, this is his theme in my mind:

(Johnny Cash--"God's Gonna Cut You Down")

Awesome choice! I actually already had that on my Blackwall playlist.  :D

As for the rump roast... I didn't actually say he was the rump roast. The gravy oomment was me being facetious. The food thing has become a bigger thing that it needs to be already.

Chee-brand, is that like Cheeish?

Please, it's "Cheesy." Cheesy romance. I think we've been over this.

I'm really scared this means they won't tell us at all before launch :(

I think you're going to have to come to terms with this.

So, now when I calmed down, I must say that I really appreciate your honesty in this matter. I'm sorry if I was too grumpy. Thank you for communicating with us. I'm sure Blackwall will be a great character and my Inquisitors will have great time adventuring with him. :)

No worries! I didn't read it as grumpy. I understand that people are getting anxious about the last two LIs and getting more information in general and I was just hoping to temper expectations a little bit. Sometimes it seems that the lingering hope that you'll hear something soon ("Today? Maybe tomorrow? Oh god, I don't want to go to bed!") is what makes the wait especially painful. I figure, well, if you think it's not coming and allow your mind to move on to other things, and then something does get revealed, it'll be a happy surprise!

On Twitter, Sheryl said she's sad because she's not getting any excited tweets.

You should show your love by tweeting her about how happy you are.

I wasn't that sad. And then people started tweeting me and I felt bad that they felt that they needed to thank me for the romance.

@Hydwn: some people called ladyofpayne 'troll' (then edited) only because she expressed her sexuality, and her sexuality is that she likes only straight men and feels uncomfortable with men who are bi. I've always been pro-gay marriage and I really despise every kind of discrimination, so I want to be free to talk about my sexuality freely just as you do. Sexuality is not a choice, so saying that Solas is a racist because he only likes elves (I read it) is as wrong as saying that a woman is homophobe because she's attracted only to straight men.

If a person was attracted to you, and you were attracted to them, why would you no longer be attracted to them if they also had the ability to be attracted to a different gender?

Nope, we may not find out for a while, if Sheryl Chee has anything to say about it.

I like this image of me being a secretive schemer holding all her cards to her chest. It's not entirely inaccurate. To be honest however, I just don't know what the rules are for releasing the names of voice actors, and therefore prefer to play it safe.

(I will say that it's not Rory McCann, Owen Teale, or Steven Waddington. So there's that.)

I'm hoping someone will blab at some point. Truthfully, I want to know everything down to the last detail before I even install the game with no surprises whatsoever.

I'm sure if you really wanted, you could wait until someone posts a walkthrough. But to be honest, posts like this make me a little sad.

As sad as my levels of unkemptness?  I need to know if I need to up my effort!

A perfect example. Imagine if I had been warned about encountering you in the lunchroom. "By the way, when you see Allan today, he'll be a little haggard. Don't stare too long at the patchy beard, he'll lose approval." It would've made my stroll through the kitchen so much less emotionally fulfilling.

As I said in another thread, the scary part is that Blackwall still does what he does with Josephine even after she and the Inquisitor become a couple, meaning he basically stalks your girlfriend.

Are you certain? Did this happen to you? Sylvia and I went to great lengths to try to make sure this didn't happen. The banters from the rogues that mention it should not appear unless the Inquisitor has committed to a relationship with someone else. We figured this would be best, just in case you decided to romance Josephine later in the game.

Hey guys,

TL;DR: Sorry for the dialog issue. Basically what happened was that I put the wrong condition on the post-Revelations option. To make sure the missing questions show up, do not ask Blackwall everything under "Let's talk about you" before the Revelations quest. Leave at least one question unasked.

For those who are curious and want to know more about how the hubs are set up, read on.

The questions in follower hub talks are set to disappear once you've already gone over them. For the sake of neatness, among other things, a lot of the questions are separated by topic. For instance, in Blackwall's case, "Let's talk about Wardens," gets you to all his Warden-related questions, and "Let's talk about you," shows you all the questions about his personal life. Now, we didn't want the top level questions, like "Let's talk about you," to still display once you exhausted all the topics within it. Therefore, each of the top level questions runs a script to check to see if any of the questions under it are still valid. If there's still a question you haven't gone over, then the entire topic is still valid and the top level question shows up.

Blackwall has two sets of Warden questions and personal questions, one for before Revelations, one for after. "I want the truth about you" is supposed to show up as long as you've completed Revelations and, as detailed above, all the questions under it are still valid. Unfortunately, by popping the wrong condition on this line, it's now checking the wrong script. It is actually looking to see if the pre-Revelations personal questions are still valid.

So, how to fix? If you want to see the post-Revelations personal questions, the only thing you can do right now is not exhaust all the questions in Blackwall's pre-Revelations personal question hub. Leave one question unasked, and you should be able to see the rest of the questions post-Revelations.

Once again, sorry. This was totally on me.

Actually, Blackwall noticed elven beardlessness too and asked Solas about it. Solas said he did not see enough elves. Take it as you will.

Damn you banter bug!! ( thank God things have improved since last patch )

Hi.

You're not missing the banter between Solas and Blackwall about elven beardlessness because of the banter bug. It was pulled out of the banter array and made to not trigger because it actually contradicts Word of Gaider (i.e. canon).

So, what happened was I wrote a bunch of banter while tired and obviously confused about the state of elven facial hair. The banter I wrote got voiced, and then one day, just to be sure, I checked with David Gaider about elven beards. The conversation went kind of like this:

"Hey, can elves grow beards?"

"No."

"Er, really? I wrote a banter referencing elf beards."

"You should probably delete it."

"I will."

So I went off and tried to make sure that this mistake of mine would never see the light of day. Of course, people dug around in the files and found the soundclips.

I would urge you to interpret that banter as Solas trolling Blackwall.
