Hell yeah, I romanced him on my second playthrough. He did indeed get a different card when I romanced Dorian.....

After i got to Skyhold we had a talk on the battlements and i didn't choose any of the flirt options for that convo as i am roleplaying and it didn'tfit, now i cannot engage in relationship or get a scene with him. Any idaes?

Question about delaying the romance...

Has anybody tried completing the romance *after* Revelations is complete? What happens if you click "Let's celebrate with friends" instead of "Let's get out of here"? Or does the other one end the romance? If nobody has done it, I suppose I'll try it on my next game, but this thing game is seriously taxing my stamina.

 

And yes, that tarot card...

After Revelations, I decided to judge him to the Wardens - it was what the original Blackwall intended for him, and I figured an idealist, atoning army captain would bolster their ranks.
Because I really didn't want another Fenris, I reloaded my save and avoided waking up nekkid in a stable, and chose the other option to trigger the next bit in his quest.
When I judged him to the wardens, I also wanted to start with a clean slate.
Since then, I've only had snog-options, and no conversation options or anything - is it supposed to be like that?
I've done adamant and the winter palace - wondering whether i should grind some more before the next Corypheus quest.
Does the romance reignite/is there a cutscene to match the stablescene? Or are we done with the fluffy lovescene after Revelations?

 

Wondering whether to reload an old save or start from scratch - I also have a LOT of holes in his quest.

I'm also wondering this. Although I had to turn the game off when it came to the scenes post Revelations. I don't know what to do! At this stage I'm very tempted to

end it with him and move on to Cullen (who I was never a fan of in the past) because, man, trust issues. And I have no idea if I want to send him to the wardens or free.... I think I've been playing too much.

Just wanted to get opinions as to whether or not this journal entry I found in the Emerald Graves sounds like it might be reference to Blackwall (don't read if you haven't done Revelations yet - seriously):

This is from Maliphant's Journals (when he was a sergeant in the Imperial Army according to the codex):

There is a new soldier in our battalion: Gordian. He's an odd fellow, with an accent I can't place. Like he'd spent time in the Marches. It doesn't matter, in the end. He's been a comfort, listening to me talk about those who died. He also lost friends in Celene's war. And he's tired, like we are. He said a very wise thing: "There is no war without soldiers." The Empress can't wage her war if we refuse to fight. Orlais should belong to Orlesians.

Okay, probably a stretch, but Rainier is a Free Marcher. I'm assuming that Rainier didn't run into the real Blackwall immediately after the massacre and that he was hiding out as a fugitive for a while. Considering his limited skill set (unless he carved wooden griffons full-time, I'm assuming that he earned money fighting in some capacity), maybe he assumed another identity at some point and actually managed to hide out as a soldier in the boonies for a while?

I read the quote that Maliphant cited, and it kind of sounded like something that Blackwall might have said. Even if he's not this "Gordian" fellow (possible reference to a Gordian knot aka an intractable problem/dilemma?), it was an interesting read, given his role as a soldier. Probably purely coincidental that the journal was in the Emerald Graves, but as we were walking around in the area, Blackwall spoke up at some point and said that he'd been to the Emerald Graves about ten years ago.

The romance continues even if you pick the other option. The only difference is that your Inquisitor doesn't get left naked and alone in the hay. I actually prefer that option, as much as I loved the romance I really hated the sex scene. I thought being left like that was kind of insulting.

Also - just a small tipfor those who haven't finished their first  romance plot yet, I didn't read the entire thread - someone may have already mentioned it, but it sure as hell wrecked the fluffy for me- THANKS, Origin! ;-)

In order to save yourself some immersion breaking go to C:\Program Files\Origin\sounds" and rename Achievement.Wav to i,e _RenamedAchievement.wav.

That will get rid of that horrible, digital, achievement unlocked sound during some of the more interesting scenes.

Hope it's OK to post, I sure as hell had my immersion broken, because of it. Hope it helps others a little

Huh. I didn't know this was dependent on approval. For me all of them could participate. Maybe it was because everyone except Leliana were busy with another task?

And what kind of consequences? Because, if I'm not mistaken, Blackwall says that there will be consequences regardless of which path you choose. Josephine helped me and there was a line about "Everyone will know that Inquisition is corrupt."

I flirted with everybody a while, and I also had a high approval and power - been spending way too much time grinding and exploring.

Question unrelated to Blackwall: Do people here remember how Bioware initially touted that we could destroy templar ships with Antivan fire or magic? Can we still do that or is it gone? Because I tried it on ships at the Storm Coast (Red Templar ships) and got nothing.

Huh, I did do Explanations before Adamant and that didn't happen. Must have been a bug, I thought it was strange that I didn't get any closure from that quest. I just went to the Storm Coast, things got weird and then nothing happened.
