OH MY GOD. Is that what you can make with the Sad Splinters ??? I MUST HAVE IT and then I will make Cheesy Banana Plaidwall happen (With the flower hat, of course). Thanks for the heads up.
No problemo - I look forward to future pics of that, lol.

@veeia: omg, those pictures! I'm dying laughing. I love it too much. Especially the last one. Bwhahahaha. Stop, it tickles!
@aluanira: Kaidan and Thane were my two main romances in ME, also. I did do a save to experience some of the Garrus scenes, but I usually couldn't resist Kaidan.
Hah! That cheese wheel. I played with that for a while, I was so surprised when I picked it up and could equip it. Only I made Cass wear it for a while. I could just imagine her displeasure, especially as I had Varric in the party with me at the time. If only he could've made comments about it.
I can see I'm going to need to start crafting. I'm being so slow on my game. I think I'm over 100 hours, and I haven't started the "what pride has wrought" quest. (or whatever it's called, i'm too lazy to look it up at the moment). I did make some nice robes for Dorian, because he must be fashionable, you know! Couldn't have my bff in just any outfit!

LOL! This thread is the best. I know that Blackwall will be a controversial character, but it was so fun to watch my Inquisitor's relationship crash and burn. Her "backstory" was that she was obsessed with the tale of the Hero of Ferelden and her Grey Warden lover. Well, it turns out that she was no Mahariel and Blackwall was no Alistair.
But seriously, Blackwall is super hot and I love him. ![]()

Growing up is overrated!! Oh and optional too! ![]()
Fortunately I have partner who is encouraging of my gaming, he's a total enabler (Got a lovely new monitor for mothers day this year.) Otherwise I doubt I'd be into as much as I am as many of my friends aren't into games as much as me (My closest friend hates technology of all varieties.)
Ah yes Veeia, yeah I recall that convo now too.

On my tumblr dash, this picture from Orphan Black just popped up. I completely have Blackwall on the brain, because immediately I thought, hey, that's my snarky dagger rogue with Blackwall, in a modern AU. Oh yeah. (in a world where they actually have hair for my character!)

Reported.
So you report me for doing what you threatened to report me for if I didn't do what you wanted?
I'm betting it didn't involve a software bug causing a mind-reading spirit to reveal things that no one would ever have known otherwise. (Please note that I'm not in the least asking you to tell me what it did involve, as that's a very personal matter and not suitable for this topic.)
Wouldn't matter if I brought it up anyway. Apparently it wasn't bad enough to be considered bad by the people here.
Kallen, your posts have made it clear that we can't change your views about Blackwall, unless you're willing to reconsider your views about redemption, and you don't seem to be. Either you think that people who do terrible things can realise the awful things they've done and become better people by making genuine efforts to atone (in which case the Blackwall of today, not the Rainier of the past, has a chance), or you think that once a person is tainted by evil, they're tainted forever, and no good thing that they do thereafter can redeem them even slightly (in which case he'll never be anything but garbage).
It's really up to you to decide what to think. All I can say is that I'm not so perfect that I'd want to live in a world where redemption was impossible.
I realize both. I am glad that he realizes what he did is terrible and is trying to atone, but at the same time the sheer magnitude of his crime is too serious to ever forgive.
Weird question, imo, but what age do you imagine your Inquisitors who romance Blackwall to be? I started my game as a Trevelyan and I imagine her to be like 27 but I second guess myself on doing the Blackwall romance because I keep thinking of Blackwall's age (I like to imagine he's 38 at least) and being too old for a romance with her.
I planned on having a young twenty-something female Dwarf who was told Grey Warden stories as a child to the point she idolized them and finally meets one and falls head over heels in love. Poor thing would be devastated.

Hair *sigh* ![]()
Oh well, can't have everything.
Aimo did a great drawing of Blackwall with a femqunari inquisitor with luscious hair. I can at least imagine.

Anyone else playing on PS3? I roll my eyes every time my Inquisitor pats Blackwall's plastic beard in the [kiss him] dialogue cut scene. Then there's the fact that my Qunari shrunk a whole head to be shorter than Blackwall for their first kiss. How considerate!
I love how they interact with each other though. My sassy, sarcastic PC helps Blackwall keep the darkness at bay, while he provides a source of quiet refuge as war rages.

<--- Loves Orphan Black. I sort of vaguely hoped for Sarah and Paul to get together, but then I was like, well, Cal is hot, smart, and nice...maybe they should get back together after all. Now because of Blackwall, I guess I officially have to hope that things work out for the bearded guy on the show - hah!

I'm so in love with that show. As soon as Cal showed up, I was like, Paul who? I felt so guilty, because I'd really been rooting for them in season 1. But... but.. tall... dark... beardy... computer skills... totally my kryponite. Sigh.

Yup would totally do it again.
I've seen the drama you've created in other threads when things don't go as you like and the angst and replies it gets. You're really good at expressing your opinion and yet you are always dismissing others readily.
I have no issue with differing opinion (I didn't have an issue at all with Rex's or Ryzaki's perspectives) but you're just obnoxious in your 'woe is me' act. Like no one here has ever been through trauma or things that make them uncomfortable.
I'm not interested in your drama or willing to put up with personal attacks from you because I disagree with what you say.
Your damn drama llama, woe is me act is not worthy of my time. Even for lulz, suffice to say I'm totally gonna ship Josie with Blackwall in unromanced playthroughs from now on.
Putting you on ignore now so don't expect me to respond again.

While I'm sure that whatever went on in your case was bad, upsetting, etc., let's be real here: it also has nothing to do with bug-related dialogue that was clearly meant to be one of Cole's more humorous mind-reading insights of a guy who had a perfectly normal moment of "oh, I just realized that person x is kind of attractive...I kind of wonder..." that your average person probably has when noticing someone hot.
Sorry if it's somehow upsetting for whatever the reason is that it upsets you, but it's not our fault, the writer's fault, or Blackwall's fault. It's probably Cole's fault, though - maybe you ought to have a chat with him about cutting back on that whole "mind-reading and awkward revelations while everyone is adventuring" thing. Oh, and maybe you can blame Q&A because, you know, it's a bug.

I never said nobody else has been through traumatic or uncomfortable situations.
When did I do personal attacks? If I did, it wasn't intentional and I apologize.

It had nothing to do with it being bugged dialogue. It had to do with the dialogues that occur among the companion banter itself. They could have said it whenever and it would have been just as upsetting.

Yes, well you realize that our earlier discussion stemmed from the fact that the line came up due to a bug and that other people were joking about how it sounded when the Inquisitor was in a relationship with Blackwall, right? Look, you can be upset all you want if you hear it under other circumstances, but that doesn't change the fact that it IS perfectly harmless dialogue for 99% of people. What, did you somehow expect that BW would read your mind and know that one or two freaking lines of dialogue would upset you in particular?
Do you expect BW to issue trigger warnings with their games? Look, they simply can't account for every possible case of personal trauma that potential players may have experienced. Now I hate to be harsh, but deal with it - preferably by not taking Blackwall or Cole with you. Problem solved because you don't ever actually have to hear that dialogue in your game at all now that you know to watch out for it.
