Sera has a great comment on the BW romance. Had me cackling. I also heard from Dorian, Viv, and Solas on it. Probsbly would be more if I got more banter.

Found it. I'll post it.
'You can die pretending you'll earn back your soldiers honor. Or you can do something with the skills that son of a ****** taught you. Spend some time with my boys, no one will know who you are in Ferelden. And it's not so bad, a little smuggling, a little exploitation. You'll get used to it.'
See what I mean ?

I'm not sure if the note goes in the codex. I'll see if I can't find it myself.
And no problem. Happy to help.
Oh wait...is it that note near the lake in the Hinterlands?!?! I remembered clicking on a note there repeatedly and then wondering why it wasn't actually showing up in the codex - lol.
EDIT: Saw your other post with the full note. Yeeeah, that really does sound kind of like it could be describing one of his men!

Also, he says. 'I wasn't here to fight, stop and think !' and one of them replies. 'You know how this ends, you bastard !'
It just seems to imply he knows him to me.

Yep, it is. Don't worry, I found it and posted it. ![]()

I think Cass works really well with a snarky Quizzie, lmao. She's so done and yet...not. Ultimately I went with Dorian for my male Cadash, but I loved Cass and his's Han-Leia dynamicsz Dorian and snarky Quizzie have great chemistry too. But yeah Blackwall and snarky Quizzie are a great couple. It's like he's shocked at what she says, and then loves it. Helps cut through some of that intensity.

I was really surprised. Because Blackwall's all into the snarky Quizzy. He even calls her a tease.
Which is the best thing ever. And the most fun.
It reminds me a little bit of how I wanted things to go with Sebastian. Because it has a hint of the "corrupt the pure one/hero" kinda feel. Along with Varric's references to Blackwall being like Sebastian, it amuses me greatly.
Ooh! That's really exciting about Cass and Dorian. They're on my list. But I should probably finish one of these playthroughs first. I love the Han-Leia dynamic.
Isn't Sera's comment after the barn scene? I haven't gotten there yet.. Just doing crestwood now. I'll have to keep an eye out for other comments. I don't seem to have the banter bug anymore. Though I did on my first playthrough. I love Blackwall's dynamic with Sera. They act like family. It's great.

Idk when the Sera comment is. Probably after his last quest. It's in a banter. I just got it recently on my pre- end game save I'm messing around on, but again, I went a loooooong time without getting any banter (like 40 hours) because of the banter issues some players are experiencing, so. Unsure!

I wonder if we could get that confirmed anywhere.Yep, it is. Don't worry, I found it and posted it.
I must not be listening I can't seem to recall some of the things Blackwall says during foreplay, err I mean fighting.
Mighty blow is definitely a warrior ephemism.

Which lines ? I can probably go find a video of them.

Oh and also Leliana LIED about her identity in DAO, she's not at all a lay sister of the Chantry but A SPY, a bard, an assassin who played and enjoyed the Grand Game.
So why don't people hate her too? She lied about her identity and put money and personal enjoyement above human lives a lot of times.
To be fair, Leliana wasn't lying about what she was in DAO. She is indeed a lay sister of the Chantry when we encounter her in Lothering. She just kept what she was before that a secret until later. It is factually true, but it omits the past prior to becoming what they say they are. It'd be like if Rainier was actually a Grey Warden but just told us that was all he was, but then later tells us the truth about his past.

I've never heard it mentioned after that unfortunately. So I may just be reading into this too deeply. But I think it's implied.

He looks pretty magnificent, not going to lie. Very dignified.
I don't even...
Where in the world do you get a cheese wheel as a shield? Also, I'm surprised you didn't give him the Sad Weapon.

Well, to be fair, he tries to get you to end things very early on and keeps hinting that he's been a bad man, which I feel kind of shoots that idea down. I guess it's really not spoilerish to say that if you romance him, he shows up in your room early on and actually begs you to break things off with him.
He doesn't want to see the future train wreck that he knows is going to happen...yet he's also attracted to the Inquisitor. That results in him totally leaving it up to the player to continue things or to end them. If your Inquisitor insists on continuing the relationship despite his pleading for you to end it (and this is before any major sex scene or anything), well, I suppose that's on the player, not him.
I actually really liked the "ending the romance" dialogue at that point. I can't remember it word for word, but it's a protest along the lines of "I don't want to end it, so it's not fair to leave it up to me!" to which he responds with a self-loathing "You're right; I'm a coward."
I mean, that is exactly right: if he wants to end it, he should do it, not ask her. I mean, I understand why he doesn't: he's conflicted, knows it's wrong to be with her while deceiving her, but likes her so much that he just wants to be with her anyway. But I appreciate that, if she protests that he shouldn't leave the decision to her, he agrees. I appreciate that he understands his own cowardice. After all, he's had a long time to live with its consequences. I really like the character arc of coming to bravery through cowardice, of eventually achieving victory in spite of a deep personal failure for which one can't blame other people (or not as much as one can blame oneself, anyway).

I didn't give him the Sad Weapon because I missed looting one of the Keep doors so I didn't get it
Yeah, on my first playthrough, I went into Adamant by way of the well, so no splinters there. Next time...
Maybe that shield is a random drop though because I picked Crestwood clean and didn't find it. Or at least I *think* I did.

Just so I know, since I've only experienced the Blackwall/Rainer storyline with my Blackwall romance playthrough, you can still experience that in a non-romance playthrough, right? I just finished my third Inquisitor, and he never left for Val Royeaux. For all that Inquisitor knew, Blackwall was never anything but an honorable Grey Warden veteran.
I'm planning out my 4th Inquisitor now, so this is important for metagaming.
