At first both are very antagonistic to eachother and that makes sense both parties are letting their raw emotion and lashing at eachother, by the the of the feast I think it's understandable both have calmed down and are now looking back and just wishing it didn't end this way but they accpet it and move on. The scene that happens before you the final quest(you get a different one too where he never finishes the rocking griffon) is extremely sad but nails the current conflict her and him are going through.

 

True I could always reload and do the other choice but I feel her falling to her emotions just fits so well with her growth and how as the game goes on and is coming to an end, she is starting to grow weary.She's losing her logical mindset. All the choices she has made, all the hard choices, the ones that hurt

Letting Hawke die, abandoning all the mages at redcliffe(she is a mage) when not all supported Fiona, her faith waining after she remembers everything and how she was the one who caused the explosion, letting Celene died when she had trust that Kendra would protect her

It all just comes gushing out in this quest. I don't want her to be a super being, she is human who makes mistakes and this is her mistake. It was just good to see her and Blackwall patch up as much as they could, they will never truly be friends again, both accept that but they no lnoger need to be cold to eachother.

Yeah I definitely get that. It's the human moments that make it so meaningful, even if they hurt.

I exiled Alistair while romancing him with my canon Warden and it's still one of my favorite, most painful parts of the whole series.

But I would love it even more if I could ever get some in game closure on that. Not that they'd ever be happily ever after, but I always felt like after enough time had passed, she'd seek him out. Alas. That's what fic is for!

Do you have to accept it and move on, or can you still be angry at him? 

 

Also, out of curiosity how do the advisers react to his revelation? We know the companion reactions due to the party banter but so far I haven't found videos that have the advisers reaction to the various quests?

Oh you can continue to be angry at him, and he responds to kind. It's up to oyu to start trying to patch up what little you can.

 

As for adivers, Josie is  not thrilled and Cullen, well we see his reaction when he finds out. No clue on Leli since our dear spy master just stays with her crows and shivs people.

Nope, his dialog in that scene is the same which does make sense, I don't really see how they could add romance dialog there without ruining the emotion in the scene. Would just feel odd for me.  Heck I still feel it should have been Leli that talks to oyu there because of her soft spot for wardens.

I suppose. I imagined Cullen maybe being a little more comforting or something since he knows what it is like for a comrade to not be who they appear.

Remember how she's always so lovely dovey when she talks about Blackwall, even her va says it with a happy tone? ALl of that is gone when she talks about him aftert he quest. She sounds more colder, she no lnoger has that lovey dovey feel ect.

Oh, wow. That is hard to imagine since she is never cold to anyone. There's a few times she gets sharp(iron fist under that velvet glove as the interview put it) but never cold. And I'm assuming the Orlesian romance thing they had going on breaks after the revelation from you saying she no longer has the lovey dovey feel? 

 

I wonder if Leliana knew but kept it secret for whatever reason, like she knew the reactions people would have, or she sympathized with him since they are both people who tried to right the wrongs of their old self, etc.

I think Josie's response is more 'I don't want to think about it.' (I think she actually states that?) I took it as a profound disappointment rather than a coldness, it's definitely a shift in perception of him and an emotion I can understand on her side because I had it too on the revelation.

@Mr House, sounds like you did the right thing by your canon PC. I've become a firm believer in playing true to the PC rather than the player. I always think it's the PC that chooses the LI too! (Hence why Ciara makes the choices she did in relation to him.)

Also did the reskin for Ciara and Varriel's casual wear.  I'm feeling torn about it though, surprising how attached I've come to the beige pjs!  Ciara looks hot, Varriel - not so much.

I just saved that mod, I'm soooo installing it tomorrow! I'd do it now, but it's nearly 5am, lol. But yowza! What a difference it makes!

 

Edit: I'm also so excited that some mods are already being tested, beta-style! I follow the mod group, but since I have no programs on my computer that could do anything (and only a very limited knowledge of how), I just read and nod instead of contributing. Totally going to fix my pajamas. No more beige!

I may have to swap it in and out of playthroughs because it doesn't look right on Varriel (my elf dude) my current game.  Like I said though curvaceous Ciara wears it well.  Also I tried to find the winter palace formal attire recolour- there doesn't seem to be any files associated with it - just pictures (even on Nexus).

I have finished the judgement scene yesterday and I am starting to think that you get to truly know at least some characters only when you romance them. (*cough* Solas *cough*).  In my non-romanced playthroughs Blackwall and inquisitor were good friends and brothers (err..sister-brother?)-at-arms and while the prison conversation with them was extremely sad it was also more matter-of-fact. But with the current romanced playthrough seeing Blackwall fall to his knees and be so broken was heart-wrenching. And what added to all the emotions was the fact that the truth of his deeds was so raw - there was no running from it, no finding a good excuse or at least a good intention. My usually diplomatic and humorous Trevelyan couldn't find a single explanation to his past that would make her or him feel better and was finally forced to leave matters to her faith that there is goodness in Blackwall. That, to me, was probably a more defining moment for her than even accepting the idea that she is the Herald of Andraste.  Religion, philosophy, ideology - all of those can be debated, but to really understand and forgive someone who is so close to you takes true belief in the notion that most everyone can be redeemed (I say " most" because I do not think Corypheus is interested in redemption   ).

I appreciate the modders' efforts, but that formal wear in white only accentuates some bad design choices, imo. Why are the sleeves so crumpled? Looks extremely uncomfortable to wear. The area around the sash looks too crumpled too, as if the jacket is at least a size too big. But that is by no means the modders' fault.

/rant over, sorry about that.

edit: okay, the sash area is not too bad, but the sleeves...

 

I totally got myself the black jammies for Skyhold and I'm super happy with them. The most crucial mod, imo, unless some neat new hairstyles are on the way. 

 

My elf looks like a stereotypical scrawny goth kid now, but I can live with that

I'm getting the feeling Leliana knew about him from the point when he got to Haven. She makes that little comment right after you recruit him: "Bla bla, something something, even though he is... not what I expected"

I only really thought about that line on my second playthrough. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but Leliana is the inquisition's (and previously the Divine's) spymaster, so I wouldn't put it past her.

Oh man, I didn't mean to make it sound like I'm complaining... Well, I was complaining, but not about the mod, lol. I agree that dark blue with red sash would look great, maybe even with silver embellishments. There's something like that in this art.

You don't sound like you're complaining! I'm just planning on playing around with that outfit anyway, so I might as well try to do something pretty with it instead of just my own personal plaidweave monstrosity.  

 

I'm in the middle of dumping all the files because I got tired of looking through them with the mod tool, so after that is done, I'll see what I can do. There are a lot of files and I move slowly. It may be a few days so maybe something else will pop up before then. But it's been a long time since I modded anything, and I never did a lot of retexturing, so I'm having fun and it will be a nice excuse to practice. Can't promise anything though (not that you asked me to!, just warning ya).

I'll second the suggestion that blue be used for the main color in the formal wear - it would be a bit more appealing perhaps (especially since it would no longer keep making me think of redshirts in Star Trek).

I love the blue sash on the changed formal attire, and the black gloves. The White is just contrasting but I'm not sold on it entirely. I take the sleeves are puffy because of the gloves. The thing I really didn't like about the the red/ yellow formal attire was that the gloves looked 'dirty' ie they looked a bit like my worn leather gardening gloves rather than something that's been put on once in a blue moon.

The only complaint I have about the black pjs is the texture looks a little flat. Scuttlebutt, Varriel my elf looks like a try hard emo. What with his anime hair and all.

I'll third the blue as a main color (not just because it's my favorite color, lol). Blue seems to go better with more skin tones than red. When my people all walked into the ball with the red shirts, I was like... not even Dorian looks great in this color. I mean, he still looked good, but not like he would've if he was wearing something else!

 

The girl who did the white retexture looks like she took the file down for now. I don't think things are quite ready to be released for the public. More like, beta testing. But still, it's such a big deal! I'm so happy people are able to mod things already!

Yeah, there's no easy way to get the files in the game yet, it requires you to make a patch, and I know they've run into language issues there (like if I make the patch with the English language game, it won't work on the German language one).

A friend showed me some pics of his adorable gap toothed Cadash who romanced Blackwall. Bugsie greatly approves. Pretty much all this has sold a dwarf romance with Blackwall to me.
