I was wondering...
From the fact that many of us whishes to had, at least, one cutscene between Thom/Blackwall and his lover after the judgement, why don't someone of you asks to Sheryl Chee, on her twitter, what would have she write for the post revelations if she could? Maybe she could give this to us as a Christmas present...?
(Since english isn't my own language, I don't want to do that myself, but maybe you that speak it currently... why not? *D*)

I imagine we might get more of that in DLCs, so I don't know if Sheryl would want to reveal that kind of stuff...plus I imagine she's busy with holiday stuff herself!

So I was curious FOR SCIENCE about the Blackwall/Adaar stuff, so after I started a relationship with Sera and had done it for a few hours (so I was already committed, although I'm not as worried about having Blackwall steal Adaar, she and Sera are so cute together ) I reloaded to an old save and went through the beginning of it and I had two thoughts.

 

1. Lmao, how on earth does Blackwall get in Quizzie's window? LIke he just appears there. I know he could have come up the stairs, but she was right there, pacing. Did he go up the stairs earlier and hide outside on her balcony? Did he climb up the side of the wall?  I'm laughing so hard imagining this.

 

2. The animations in this scene bother me more with a qunari than with a dwarf...I think because with the dwarf, it was zoomed in enough that you couldn't see a super tall dwarf but you could imagine she was standing on something...., but with Adaar's head suddenly being below Blackwall's face, lmao, it's jarring. But shrug. I know the rest of the scenes are probably great, sadly won't see them this PT, but. It was still cute.

I also wondered how Blackwall got up to her room, but then he was doing that sexy leaning thing he does against the wall and I got all distracted and la la la.     I would like to think he scaled that wall lol.

I took it as it was the door/window closest to the stairs so if she was on the other side of the room she might not notice him coming up.

And yeah the animations for qunari suck in that scene.

So I just recently discovered that I missed Dorian's personal quest on my latest playthrough.. And had to go back 40 some hours of game time to get it. It's a good thing Blackwall's romance is amazing.

 

I also got a banter today where Blackwall told Sera that in Ostwick, they butter up cheeses and roll them around.   The lack of response for my mage Trevelyan made me sad. I wish they could've said something. "Oh? You think that's amazing? ~insert even crazier story~".

 

Do any of the other Quizzy backgrounds get any kind of recognition in Blackwall's romance? Or does he just not care where the Quizzy came from in general? I haven't noticed any recognition of it in my playthrough, and I was most of the way through the main story.

 

I kind of want to write Blackwall fanfiction now. I haven't even finished my Solas one yet.

I also missed Dorian's quest due to that glitch, but I did not go aback and replay the 40 some hours to get it, that's some dedication!!

Although I do plan on replaying Hella as my "canon" PT later down the line, so I know she will get it eventually.

Yeah I think part of Dorian's arc is bugged.  Some of the romance scenes don't play out if you talk to him too much in Haven and a lot of people have complained about his personal quest not triggering.

 

And as I'm about to start family Christmas festivities I'll just say now, I wish you and your families all the best for Christmas!!

Now I need to romance him with a Cadash.   Dwarfquisition, here I come.

 

I'm a crazy person. Also, I might be getting upgrades for my desktop so I can hopefully actually play the game easier. My graphics card is below minimum requirements, but otherwise my computer is fine to play the game. But sometimes it just doesn't want to. Or I have horrible graphics issues. The best one was the weird fleshy triangle shooting out of Blackwall's nose during the kissing scene in Quizzy's quarters.

 

 

Also, I figured it would save me from remaking the character entirely. Which I might do eventually, but I have saves for all of Blackwall's scenes. I'm still waiting to replay my canon Quizzy, the Solas romancing mage Lavellan. I keep hoping they'll fix one of his quests, and release more content for him.

 

I might write up some short fanfic scenes for Blackwall. I have trouble connecting them into a long story though. He's just so.. Unf. I need to write about it. Probably mid-game/post game stuff. I want to see Quizzy and Blackwall getting married and settling down with munchkins.

Hah, if it wasn't a wussy little dude standing around doing nothing. My companions can trash talk all they want - they earned being pissed off. (well, plus being far more entertaining; I'm in my "take everyone along who is the most likely to be mean" phase, because it's far more entertaining than everyone getting along).

 

Nhadalie - yay upgrades! My husband and I did a ton of PC upgrades recently, sooo happy with how it worked out (except that my computer sounded like a jet going off; I had to go dig up a huge heatsink and quiet fan for my CPU, it was so ridiculously loud).

 

This thread needs waaaaay more holiday cheer (thanks Bugsie!).

As far as Blackwall showing up in the Inquisitor's quarters goes, I figured that he just decided to take the stairs and wait for her up there so that they could talk in private. My explanation for this is admittedly completely boring when put up against grappling hooks and/or swooping in Batman-style, etc. - hehe.

 

I actually did finish Chapter 1 of that story I'm semi-working on...might put it up eventually, but with the way that I have of picking apart my work (case in point: a total of five-ten rewrites of two sentences over several days just because I wasn't particularly happy with them), I have to see how I feel about it after a reread...or two...or three. The final word count is somewhere between 4300-4500 words, heh.

I'm confused about what happens with Blackwall after you judge him .(no romance with him)

The first time I made him a warden , and it sort of went well , I suppose.

I got a final scene with Blackwall crafting some griffons toys for the children at Skyhold.

In a second playthrough , I simply freed him , no punishment except he keeps on working with the Inquisition if he felt like it.

And I didn't get anymore cutscene with him.No griffon toy.

 

So maybe I didn't get enough approval in my 2nd playthrough or you get no closure cut scene if you're merciful?

I definitely got the griffon scene - romanced him and freed him. I believe someone said that if you have low approval, in a certain scene he's basically bashing at some training dummy and that there is no griffon toy? So it may relate to your approval level - not sure.

But you can't get Revelations if your approval is that low...I think that scene should only trigger if you choose the "you own him" dialogue, or on his disapproval path. It sounds like a bug to me, tbh....because you should get one final cutscene with all your companions unless their approval is v v low, I believe. Can't confirm it though, sorry! I'm planning on doing that this PT, but it's a ways away.
