Mmm it's possible it was a bug ...I'm pretty sure I was on the friendship path with Blackwall .

I also didn't get the balcony scene with Solas , and for some unknown reason I couldn't get any more approval with him.

Oh well.

Yeah, heard there are issues with Dorian IF you're romancing him, whereas I never had a problem getting his major personal quest. Maybe this is a similarly weird issue then? I can only really guess at it.

But you can't get Revelations if your approval is that low...I think that scene should only trigger if you choose the "you own him" dialogue, or on his disapproval path. It sounds like a bug to me, tbh....because you should get one final cutscene with all your companions unless their approval is v v low, I believe. Can't confirm it though, sorry! I'm planning on doing that this PT, but it's a ways away.

Haha, yup. My male dwarf barely talked to him and Blackwall didn't care for him. If you get his approval too low, he will leave, but keep him indifferent and you'll never know and he'll just be there, which is why I suspect some people think he's boring and never gets interesting. My DA BFF had to work so hard to get his personal quest, lmao, because he hated her Quizzie, but I was like I CANT WAIT I NEED YOU TO KNOW ABOUT HIM BEFORE YOUR NEXT PT!!!!

Thanks for making this my favorite thread on the BSN; hugs to all of you awesome people.

I am going to go through DA:I withdrawals this week, am going to be traveling for a bit starting the day after Christmas (assuming weather is decent). So, i'll probably be in here waving my arms around a lot because it'll be my fix. Hah. We gotta put more pictures in this thread.

I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and now I just want to sit around drawing DA fan art. Except I have apparently forgotten how to draw.

... it was basically a box of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Song of Ice and Fire books/comics. (Then I ruin the fun by buying research books for my job, hah).

OK I need some help. In my play through I was planning on romancing Sera but was flirting with everyone else along the way including Blackwall but now i am at a point where Sera says "I don't want to be somebuddies seconds" and tells me to break it off with Blackwall. However I have no idea how.

Well, I believe you can break it off early if you do Blackwall's Explanations quest and immediately end things with him after you trigger the cutscene in your quarters (this is after you get to Skyhold).

To the ladies in here (dudes too I guess), did y'all notice all of Rainer's 'Memories of the Grey' items pretty much make him the defacto Warden-Commander of Orlais?

 

Hmm, well I recall the treaty/treaties and the badge (the other badge - not Blackwall's badge) from the Hinterlands, but most of that stuff seemed like it was of historical interest, such as the Warden banner from the Fallow Mire or that pristine griffon feather; I suppose that the Deep Roads map might be useful to actual Wardens, though.

Archdemon blood, Joining Chalice, Grey Warden songs and banners. And like you said maps, treaties, and WC badge.

 

All the things you need to make a functioning Warden chapter. After the Wardens were decimated by Erimond, Rainer's in a very convenient position if he has all those things and was sentenced to Join the Wardens.

 

Yeah. if you have him join the Wardens, it seems like a possibility. But he'd still have to climb the ranks and prove himself first, presumably. Even with the Orlesian Wardens in complete disarray, I don't think he'd get an instant promotion just because he used to be an actual officer in the military. I'm sure he could be an actual Warden-Commander in time and would probably do a good job of it if you go that route.

I can definitely imagine the Hero of Fereldan becoming the First Warden of the splintered Southern Wardens with Blackwall as his Second-in-Command.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Today, Boxing Day here in Oz is movie day for us. Dropped the hobbit at Isengard (my brothers) and went with my homies, Legolas and Gimli to opening day of the final hobbit movie.

All I can say - Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) - I think I'm in now falling in love with beardy dudes who are tortured by their past LOL.
