it's frickin great here. i don't have to tag for anything. ![]()
what's interesting to me is that all of his concept art includes this flamboyantly proud grey warden stuff. but that gallows shot, if it's an in-game thing, puts all that fancy armor in a new light. like, if he's fighting with the inquisition but he's been ousted from the wardens how will he feel about being constantly outfitted in that armor? or will he still feel loyalty to them?
OOOOH, in the trailers we've seen a battle against Wardens at what looks like Weisshaupt. . .what if that gallows concept art is immediately after the Inquisition has taken the Keep?
okay i might be ahead of myself, sorry.
Oh don't worry about getting ahead of yourself. Mostly we make cheeky/raunchy jokes about him so some serious speculation is a nice break from that.
Yeah I'm definitely curious as to how this conflict with the Wardens will play out if we have Beardy Warden with us.

Could be infighting in the Wardens.
There's infighting in all the other factions, why not the Wardens? Although, maybe he thinks your connection to the Fade could help end the Blight for good or something? I'm trying to figure out why he'd be willing to leave the Wardens to follow me if he's still loyal to them and coming up with too many possibilities.

Same. I have a hard time believing we had all that 'secret warden stuff' going on in prior games and we aren't going to see something come of it. Factions be a warring or so I hope.

Perhaps the upcoming Last Flight novel will tie-in somewhat to Bara Warden's situation, since it's supposed to reveal things the GWs have done that are shocking (paraphrasing).
In general, I suppose with the Inquisition vs the GWs shown in the trailer, it'll give us opportunity to see them in even murkier shades of grey since the order we led first-hand in DA:O and Awakening was built from a clean slate.
If you played a benevolent Warden, they we'll get to see how much of an ******* the other, longer established branches can be.
If you played an ******* Warden, hey guess what? You're not the biggest ******* in the pond, ha!
Unless of course, we're dealing with a Corypheus-corrupted sect of the GWs in DA:I, and that's a whole new ballgame altogether.

Do remember that Nate mentioned that the First Warden was digging around the Primeval Thaig where we found the red lyrium. I wonder if maybe a corrupted sect (maybe Cory-influenced) of Wardens are supplying the Templars with it.
All I want from DA:I is to be able to play a younger man who makes Beardy conflicted/guilty for loving me because of the age difference. Is that so wrong??
I am really trying not to get my hopes up for him being a LI (esp a gay/bi LI).
I woudn't like somebody to feel guilty for loving Inquisitor and be unhappy because of it. Angst for the sake of angst, doesn't sound like healthy relationship. Beardy seems to be a good guy who likes humor and good laugh. I wouldn't like him to become emo like Anders. ( I love you, but I will hurt you!). Unless I misunderstood you.

Haha, nah nah, it's cool. I don't want Anders' level angst (no, please). Just maybe mild discomfort, maybe having to convince him that my younger Inquisitor is serious about him and that he believes age doesn't matter. Conflicted =/= unhappy in my mind, anyway. The best romances always have conflict and I think that'd be an interesting/original take that we haven't seen thus far.
Well, certainly all previous love interests in Dragon age were too young for such conflict. But they announced Cassandra, and it gives hope for shattering cliche for male LI as well.

Now now.. a good dose of wangst has its place in things. But yes please, let's not have this be another Anders unless there is an opportunity for another sandwich line. Still one of my favs from DA2.

I'm really hoping for that. Yep! I've been itching to read/learn more about the Wardens for a long time.
maybe, like the templars, they have pillow fights in fashionably colored tunics... shocking

Would that be roasted nug sandwich? They mentioned hunting nugs. I don't see any sandwiches here...

Maybe he'll elaborate on what Alistair had revealed to us in one of his DA2 cameos.
Aren't we all standing around talking about someone's taint - old man grizzled taint to be exact?
Yeah, this thread is basically a club talking about Beardy Warden's taint. If that's not what being a Grey Warden is about, then screw them!
being a grey warden is more than the taint, its about the sword as well
He does have a very big sword in that image. Where does one find a sheath big enough for that thing?
This sexy beardy guy..it's time for bioware to give us his name!

You'll be the cheese and/or bacon part of the human interpretation of the KFC Double Down.
Aah, forgive me. The *living interpretation. Iron Bull is far from human.
