So Blackwall is a bully now, huh. What will his next crime be - arson? Horse theft? Talking in theater?

Keeping library books past their due date! Heinious crime!

I bet he always leave the toilet seat up!

Not the toilet seat!

I sentence him to give me ten massages and five foot rubs to show penitence!

Yeah, I actually like the Dawn Will Come scene, but it's so cheesy. I can see why people don't like it, and the Leliana scene was way too uncanny valley for me. It would be nice with more scenes like the one with the Chargers so I second the notion that we need a Campfire DLC.

Still kinda want an uber dramatic Les Miserables style number for Alastair Parker though...

I mute that scene now, first time and 2nd time I could tolerate it but now gah y'all corny pls staph!

@Bugsie: I love that  "Dawn Will Come" song you linked. The melody is really pretty. I've noticed it playing sometimes when I have my game just on the game screen (just the instrumental version).

The first play through that scene really touched me. The whole bit after the attack on Haven -- going through the snow, finding the camp, the song, trekking to find Skyhold -- I was completely in the moment and misty-eyed. Even the 2nd game I loved the moment (the sync was okay in mine).

But I can totally see how if you weren't in the moment, it would be completely eye-rolling and cheesy. Plus, it's a long scene, and sometimes you just need to skip. As long as they put a place where you could either save or it saves automatically in scenes like this (in case you accidentally skip, you wouldn't want to do a whole fight over just to see a cutscene!), I'm all for scenes being skippable. Since I'm running simultaneous characters right now, I've begun making liberal use of my skip options!

On the Chargers song, I don't have strong feelings about loving it to death, but it was an enjoyable moment in the game to me. I liked meeting the Chargers, and getting to know them all. In fact, I would've liked a few more bits with them before the ultimate decision in Bull's quest. Would've been nice if you could talk to each one in the bar, just a line or two.

I'd love if they had a song & dance mod! One of my favorite mods for DAO is the dance one. I love going to the tavern and dancing with all the companions. So. Much. Silly. Fun.

I hated the Chargers' song tbh. I didn't really care about them and the song felt like Bioware was trying too hard to make me like them. The Dawn Will Come made me cringe at first, but everyone bowing before the herald was kinda heartwarming. These two scenes are nowhere as awful as dancing with the Duchess in terms of cringiness IMO.

So Blackwall is a bully now, huh. What will his next crime be - arson? Horse theft? Talking in theater?

Boo urns, I love the Winter Palace mission, liked the dancing scene myself. :P

I'm probably going to feel the same way on my fourth/fifth Inquisitor. They should have made it skippable.

I've reached that quota now, don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed by this, but it's been a long time since I've played a game as much as I've played this. Thanks Bioware, you're saving me alot of money. :P

Bwahahaha!! That's one of my favorite movies. Just imagine Blackwall's guffaw if you told him *that* was his punishment.

Just a little bit of peril...

Spank me! And me! (That's both butt cheeks speaking btw)

@Crimson, I love the Winter Palace mission too! Sort of reminds me of Kasumi's mission. Gonna charge in with the elves and dat Tevinter mage next time.

I swear Varriel looks so damn handsome in the warden battlemage armour - one of my favourite found armours in the game. Still nothing can beat Ciara's pink warriors outfit and matching Battle Axe of super fun time. I should try and get some more schematics and upgrades.

My Inquisy should have stayed asleep, the awkwardness of spontaneous singing can't escape it.

I usually let myself get swept up in the moment, so I've still been enjoying the scene. But still, I wish it was skippable! What's it hurt to make something skippable? And eventually I know I'll want to. I have so many plays set up in my head to do. This game. Seriously!

Interesting find! I downloaded the mod for the skyhold pjs, the one where they are black and have the inquisition symbol. Now my baby mage in her level 1 armor has the black pjs under her leather coat, and it looks rather nice!! I was pleasantly surprised when I went back to play with her!

The poor lip synching on the second playthrough I had, killed it a little for me, otherwise I had sorta been looking forward to it.

I've brought everyone to the palace so far except for Varric, haven't gotten around to him yet, in my 4th run which I started a few days ago he'll be going. Sera's introduction at the Ball is goddamn hilarious, Orlais will never be the same. And Solas being introduced as your elven servant was also lulzy, damn dem Shems. :P

Oh ho! And I thought it was Cassandra not returning the 42 copies of Hard in Hightown.

I mean, there IS one up in the hayloft... I would say there might be evidence pointing to this one. Or, someone is setting him up.

Lol now picturing Sera hiding copies all over the place just for stuff like this:

Cassandra finds one on Solas's couch: oh Solas you are a fan too?
Solas: ... ah, no? Do you read this sort of thing?
Cassandra: :: leaves fast ::

Cassandra finds one in the hayloft: Blackwall, I didn't think you were the type.
Blackwall: Oh, the Inquisitor left that up here.
Cassandra: What is she doing in the hayloft?
Blackwall: The better question is "what were *we* doing in hayloft?"
Cassandra: :: leaves fast ::

*reads a couple pages back*

*reads "something something blackwall was bullying solas"*

Someone's never busted their friend's chops before.

And before someone tells me that "how do you know they are friends," I have something called an imagination and I heard their other banters (you know, context).  They're pretty comfortable around each other (Solas was quite hurt about Blackwall's lie, Blackwall "taught" Solas how to play Diamondback). Blackwall only tends to joke with people he feels comfortable with.  You don't see him making those jokes with Cassandra, for example.

Solas bet the clothes right off of Blackwall and made him do the walk of shame back to the stables with only "a bucket for his bits."  Wouldn't that also qualify as "bullying" in your definition?

I swear to god, this fandom's need to defend characters sometimes gets way out of hand.

Love the Monty Python clip and as a librarian I say that would be a fitting punishment for Blackwall keeping the book in the hayloft past due. I had to grimace/laugh about the librarian character complaining about the state of the books.

I also agree the banter is just that banter. I imagine they are pretty comfortable with one another (traveling around Thedas, etc) and Solas knows something ridiculous is coming.

It bothers you because you don't like anyone saying bad things about Rainier possibly?

I'm pretty much done talking about this banter, lmao, but I had to laugh at this. No I'm not getting frustrated because my pixel husbando's honor was besmirched and now I must dual you!!!! I'm frustrated because your argument is so reductionist and at heart I'm a fussy nerd like Solas who is all BUT ITS MORE COMPLICATED THAN THAT.

But like its silly, so I'll drop it and go find my cuddle egg.

I hate the charger's song to but at least i can skip it. So I still like them.

If I had to hear that song each time yeah I might've wanted to strangle someone.
