Eh, I've gone through it a few times now and am yet to feel the need.

I evidently don't find these kind of things as weird as some do. I adored Leliana's Song too, weird lip sync aside.

Solas is a godsend in that scene, bless that man, should have grabbed Inquisy sooner.

But on serious note... it's supposed to be the Exodus.

 

Haven to Skyhold is supposed to be 40 years in the desert. Solas and the Inquisitor is supposed to be Moses and the Burning Bush. 

 

That's why it really doesn't bother me. I know what they were going for in that scene.

 

Now all we needed was a song between the Inquisitor and Cory

 I definitely think it's a good song and a good scene, just a bit forced, and that forcedness is magnified because it's so long and not skippable. It didn't bother me on my first PT though.

@darkknight: Yeah, I agree with that. I like the song, but the scene does need to be skippable because it just doesn't autosave after that point. If you keep crashing like I initially did (for whatever reason), it turns into a massive pain to deal with. Thank God I had the sense to go "ah, maybe it's @$#!ing Crossfire causing this..."

 

I swear, if/when I get a new system, I am probably going with Nvidia in the future...stupid AMD/ATI - grrr. *glare*

My first playthrough I was an elf and felt very uncomfortable with the Dawn Will Come.  As a human I owned it, but yeah the first time felt awkward.

Okay, I have the person you guys were discussing bullying with on ignore.  But since I read through it all not logged in I could see it all and I would see them in quotes logged in.  I in no way saw that as bullying.  At all.  It was obviously as everyone has stated a friend have a silly jab.  The writers giving some funny dialogue.

 

I really liked the Dawn Will Come scene.  The first time through it I even teared up.  I haven't played through this scene as a Dalish yet though, sooo.  I, too, like Leliana's Song as well.  The Chargers song? Not so much.  But I did like the Chargers themselves and they never get sacrificed in my pts. 

 

I've not done the worship line with Blackwall ever.  Thanks for telling us the difference in dialogues Sabreenei! 

 

My little mage has just started questing from Skyhold and got her first kisses from Blackwall in her quarters.  She showered him with "compliments" while he was there too 

 

I love telling him "I knew you couldn't stay away."  And he "(sighs) No, I couldn't."  So great! mwahaha

*clears throat* So, here's a side benefit of being a Blackwall fan that no one told me about- the fan fic tends to be beautifully written and hot as hell! I know that's a well known thing for most of us here, but as a relative newcomer, I figured it was worth a mention, if only to entice other newcomers.

I could do with slightly less surprise pregnancy fics, lmao, but only because that is 2 real for me (had a surprise pregnancy myself) so it's not really as much fun, haha, although I get why it has emerged as a strangely popular topic, since Grey Wardens are supposedly mostly infertile and Blackwall is not actually one.

 

But yes, it's all great.

I haven't run into one of those yet. I don't think those would be my cup of tea either, as someone who has never wanted children, but I look forward to reading a couple anyway, just for the experience.

 

As someone who doesn't have as much time for fiction these days (most of my reading is for school at the moment) I definitely appreciate good, shorter reads!

 

Oh and the fan art! Seriously, this fandom is spoiling me.

Not a fan of pregnancy fics in general, takes me out of the universe a bit. Future musings that include children I can tolerate though. I've read a few Blackwall fics, but I guess part of me is more interested in him beyond the pairing with the inquisitor unless it's exploring beyond a critical point in the game - I get a bit that way with most characters I like though. Which reminds me I need to return to one of my ME fics (that doesn't have Shepard).

I am fond of, um, *ahem* fics Rinji! LOL

And yeah, Cat, the fan art is delightful!

@Crimson, I took Varric to the winter palace my first run, and he kind of disappeared, before I found him outside what was technically, the Winter Palace's version of a pub! Made me laugh.

The time I took Varric to the winter palace, I never did find where he went to! I felt like I looked all over, so I gave up and decided it was a bug. There was actually a pub-ish type place??! Now I'll have to reload that, and see if I can find him!

I think a friend told me you have to use the halla carvings to open the room that Varric is in?  I took him once but didn't bother to find him because I had other things to spend my halla carvings on!

I think the banter bug made a pretty significant blow to a lot of characters.

 

I myself never found Blackwall dull, but I've been taking him around with Sera, Cole, etc, and he's just...lawd, so much better.

 

Blackwall/Sera/Solas is awesome. Blackwall and Sera are like the immature children walking around behind, snickering and shooting spitballs at Solas' head when he's not looking. :S

Ah man I never got that line yet and I've brought Blackwall around with me and Sera alot, hmm gotta use Solas more than, swap out Viv. Glorious cattiness with those 3 involved too, so many banter variations in this game.

I have read other fics - ermm, in the interest of science and to get an idea of what's out there - and those pregnancy ones...yeah, not quite my cup of tea, I'm afraid. Thoughtful, reasonably smart adult characters I can write; what I can't do is write about...babies...and actually make it sound interesting (well, I probably could do a good job now that I think about it; however, I have absolutely zero interest in creating a pregnant protagonist - really cuts into the whole adventuring thing, imo).

Sounds like he is behind some halla locked door then. Halla statutes grr, I only managed to collect enough once on my human mage run to unlocking Celene's room where that guard is tied up bloody hilarious, didn't expect that.
